location, staff, clean and tidy Underground rooms, I couldn't believe they have such rooms! There is no way I would stay in an underground room and I think it should be mentioned in the on line reservation page! Very little spaces in other rooms. |

Excellent location(4min walk to Leidseplein), clean room, friendly staff at the reception. The room is small(Amsterdam), but the worst is the parking. It is 4EUR/h (9-24h) on the street!!! The cheapest parking garage is 35EUR/day(1km far, Heineken garage) and the closest(Byzantium 70EUR/day !!! |

The situation was ideal foe a city break- The continental breakfast was adequate- but the staffing levels were low so we had to sit amongst uncleared tables etc both mornings we ate breakfast . The room was ridiculously small- If we had been staying any more than 2 nights we would certainly have been forced to upgrade- The beds were comfortable but tiny-Glad we were very tired when we retired for the night! |

The person in charge did address my problems although she did not sort them out right away. The hotel's location is quite central and convenient. The bed was comfortable. There was an airconditioner in my room. The reception desk had a sign saying that I can order a taxi to the airport and I used this to my advantage. 1. They put me in the basement and didn't notify me in advance that this is what they would do. They also did not change it to a better room right away, only the next day. 2. The bathroom door was made of glass and left nothing for the imagination. I was travelling with a friend and this was very embarassing for us. 3. They (or you, Bookingcom) did not notify us in advance that we would pay only 9 Euros for breakfast if we prebook breakfast instead of 12 if we buy it at the hotel. |

Location was good the brightness in the breakfast room. The initial room we were allocated was far too small, the window was tiny and let no light in. On the web site I asked for a canal view. We we moved rooms after one night and this was a beautiful room although only twin beds. |

Location was perfect -- in the middle of everything you'd want to do in Amsterdam. Definitely an upscale hotel with all the amenities, if a bit pricey. |

Reception staff friendly and helpful!! Being stuck in a basement bedroom right next to the lift and hearing to 4 am constant traffic and pedestrians outside the bedroom, with tea/coffee facilities not cleaned for 4 days and someone's toe nail on bathroom floor and not mine or my wife's! |

Location was good, especially the proximity to the museums. Rather quiet and different from the hotels downtown. The staff working in the morning was not friendly and cooperative. The evening staff was nicer. There is no fridge in the rooms. |

The staff at reception were excellent and helped us when we had lost an item of clothing. The rooms were comfortable we were in a family group of 6 persons that included children. The rooms were on different floors and the hotel staff moved 2 persons to the floor where the rest of the party were. However we had asked for this at booking so it was what we had ordered. We did not have any tea or coffee facilities in the room and we would have expected this. Also we would have liked a shower room in the hotel where we could have prepared ourselves when we had already checked out of our rooms and waiting for late flights. |

The hotel's location is excellent, as it lies a few steps from the Museumplein, as well as Leidenplein, and it is also close to to tram stops. The shower was really nice, and the tv was a good touch. The beds were not comfortable, and also we were not told that we had to pay 50 Euro deposit per room per night. It should be said somewhere. |

The room was small but adequate. I think it could have been a little cleaner, i.e. the carpet and maybe the furniture. I know it is a large hotel, but our room was not "cleaned" until about 4.30. Not really. The lounge/dining area was lovely, but it was a pity that the bar could not open some evenings because of lack of staff. when I asked one night at reception I was advised that there was only the one person on reception and her colleague. |

The location was great. To get to the room you had to walk through the bar/restaurant and then down a very steep narrow staircase. The staff was slightly snotty and unhelpful. |

Very comfortable and clean rooms. Breakfasts were also top class and the service here was bar none. Paid the price for not checking invoice thoroughly enough at the time. Confirmed at front desk (and also reconfirmed the following day just to make sure) that I would be having breakfast at the hotel each morning for a rate of 9.50 Euros. Instead, I was charged maximum rate of 12.50 Euros. |

Good location: close to museums and city's centre First of all, if you are planning to stay for many days insist on having a room on the upper floors (there is ground floor and basement...). The regular rooms are tiny. Plan for extra money to stay in a deluxe room. Breakfast for 15 euros is a waste of money (prepare to search for a slice of cake or other dessert - fruit options two: orange and green apples!) The main problem is that the cleaning service is really poor. The maids make extreme noise from 8 a.m. and you have to run after them to clean your room. All in all, in my opinion the quality of the hotel's s service does not respond to its price. More suitable for youngsters willing to spend a night or two. Oh, and if you have heavy luggage:no porter and stairs!! |

I liked most the location of the hotel-in the heart of the city center. We stayed in a twin sharing room but size of room was too small. |

Excellent location. I got a good room but others in the party got rooms in the basement - dark and noisy - and had to change. |

The hotel is very well located, close to Leidseplein, Vondelpark and Rijksmuseum. The rooms are comfortable even though they have "weird" proportions (our friends had a big room with a big bed but a quite small bathroom with only a shower) whereas our room was rather small with quite a narrow bed and a correct bathroom. Wifi is free in the hotel. I find it a bit exaggerated you can't get warm eggs (omelet, scrambled, ...) without paying an extra. |
