The famous Vondelpark functions as a backyard garden to Hotel City Garden, which is on the fancy P.C. Hooftstraat shopping street. It provides rooms with street or park views.

THE STAFF, AND THE LOCATION, CLEAN,
THE ROOM WAS REALLY SMALL
Close to museums, shops and restaurants.
A little expensive.
Excellent staff. Well located hotel. Clean and tidy.
Room and bathroom much too small.
Watch out for price changes AFTER you've booked! We were invoiced +$108.xx over our original bill. Good thing I caught it when checking out and had to pull up my BOOKING.com reservation. Apparently, the hotel prices fluctuate/change every day (even after you book)... I would strongly recommend Booking.com to deal with this type of bait-and-switch practice with their "members".
I got the room at a discounted price, nice shower.
I forgot the breakfast wasn't included, and we had one to be precise 2 slices of meat and a roll, total cost 12 euros for that, and 12 euros for my friend, what a rip off, there no way this room is worthy of it's usual price of 159 euros, reduced to 69 fair enough but there's nothing fancy about the room at all which would justify 159 euros price for one night.
Nice area, nice hotel
7 dollar city tax is a it cheeky
Friendly staff, decent location and even better price!
Breakfast and staff
The aircondition was noisy and didn't work well, there were constructions next to the hotel and we woke up very early with very disturbing sounds and couldn't rest at noon. The bed wasn't comfortable and the water stream was very poor.
Bed :(, Price/Performance, Breakfast
the staff were very helpful and friendly. I liked the fact there was a bar and location was perfect for sightseeing.
For the price of the room I felt there should have been complimentary tea and coffee making facilities and bottled water. Also the rooms were quite small. I had a double room but the bed took up most of the room.
Budget hotel at a four star price
The location and closeness to the Museumplein
The poor breakfast service, having to pay extra for a cappucino. The bathroom: am I staying on a ship? The bathroom was sooooo small, very disappointing.I felt like sleeping on a ship where you can expect a compact bathroom. Wifi was not working properly, keycards either.
Convenient location for major museums at south area of Amsterdam. Good budget hotel. Good breakfast for 10 euros. 197 bus close by to airport for 5 euros excellent value!
Location v good. Bed not v comfortable
It's location was excellent clean and comfortable would definitely stay here again if visiting Amsterdam .
We checked in at the Apollo and was given a room in the basement, no joking the available floor area was about 2 Sq metres we couldn't get dressed together the space was so small, the en suite bathroom had bad odours coming from the shower waste this was fixed by the maintenance staff. There was no Tea / Coffee making facilities in the room, no wonder there was no space to put a kettle or even cups, we asked for Tea and coffee facilities but we didn't get any, not what you expect from the Best Western. We asked to stay another two nights but only if we could change rooms, the price went up double what we previously paid on the internet, the reception classed us as walk in rate and more expensive, OK we was given a room on the 5th floor, the lift only went to the 4th floor so we had to walk one flight of stairs. We didn't have a problem with that at all a little exercise is good for you, the problem was that this room was next door to the lift motor room, can you imagine, every couple of minutes the lift motors and gearing was in operation ALL NIGHT, we didn't get any sleep at all, no doubt the Hotel would have had complaints about this issue before, and they should have made efforts to rectify the problem with better noise insulation, or at least inform potential customers about the never ending noise of the machinery. I was glad to go home just to sleep, We didn't enjoy our stay at the Apollo, and certainly would never recommend it to any one.
Extremely helpful staff at reception, comfortable clean rooms, tea & coffee in room, clean towels everyday. Drinks bar quiet and comfortable, secluded areas perfect for meeting customers.
Small cushions. Make sure the TVs are working. Filling out forms at breakfast. Tables not cleared quickly, mostly had to clear tables ourselves to find somewhere to sit. Some of the staff at breakfast were not as friendly as the staff on reception.
Mattress was a little hard. Shower/bathroom small. Didn't like the glass door no "bed bugs" but did have a few ants. Great location and staff. Would stay here again even with the issues
Friendly staff, value for money, good location
Smallish room, but hey, it's the middle of Amsterdam and a good price.
The bed was so comfortable!
The staff wouldn't let us drink a bottle of our wine in the common area because the bar was handy. That meant we had to drink in our little room....
The staff were very friendly towards me and my colleague
there was no shampoo or shower gel in my room
Beds are too soft towels and bed sheets smell not fresh no queen size beds, they jsut put to single beds together! Charge (freez) 100 euros from your account "room deposit" without any prior information, but for sure the don't freez, they actually charge it, so have fun with getting the money back;
Had a great time excellent location close to the night clubs 20 min from the air port super friendly staff that always had a smile effortless checking out
there was nothing wrong with the hotel at all
Posizione centrale ed equidistante rispetto alle attrazini della citta ed ai punti di collegamento piu importanti
Non comfotrable for disability moving
The proximity to museums
The fact my room was below ground level
