Vriendelijk en correct personeel algemene ontbijt ruimte heeft de uitstraling van amsterdamse nostalgie , heel goed.

Algemene bad en douche met toilet ruimten. Iets meer privacy is beter

85€ lijkt niet veel, maar kamer was goedkoop en slordig geconnstrueerd, niet schoon, zonder tv, met enkel (en tocht- en geluiddoorlatend) kierend glas, beerkt sanitair met schimmel etc. je merkt dat het a'dam is en dat ze deze prijzen kunnen vragen. jammer

vriendelijke en flexibele bediening, ontbijt iets eerder serveren was geen probleem

zolderkamer was erg klein en ligging naast drukke weg gaf geluidsoverlast.

The Hotel is really wunderbarrrrr!!!!! It is right near the center and the sightseens around are perfect. The Bus stop is right near the Hotel. My girlfriend and me just were having rest, didn't think about transport or "how to get to the airport"... Wonderful Hotel!!!! We loved it! P.S. the dog in the hotel is extremely funny!!!!!

Location, access, comfort, freedom...

Friendly people, comfortable room (although small), view of Rijksmuzeum from dining room, good coffee, excellent heating (January!), individually chosen decorations, good transport outside.

Nothing really - lots of steep steps to reception level - but this is an old Amsterdam house!

Friendly caring staff. Clean and comfortable. Close to museums, public transport and the centre of the city. Walking distance to all main attractions.

Great location..Clean rooms..decent breakfast..However for 95 euros a night (shared bathroom) it seems pricey..but I guess its normal by Amsterdam standards

Cozy atmosphere, excellent location, tasty continental breakfast and nice music in dining room, a lot of sightseeings and restaraunts are near, easy to reach by transport (10 minutes by tram from Amsterdam Centraal), cleanliness of douche, toilette and room, pretty dog in reception :)

Everything was perfect except one occasion: an old receptionist with glare look drove out our friends when they came to visit us for a couple of hours in the morning. That was the only bad experience with this hotel :(

The location was perfect! You take the 2 or 5 tram from Central station and the Museum district stop is right next to the hotel. We had a view of the Rijksmuseum and the Iamsterdam sign and 2 min away from the Van Gogh museum. We could easily walk everywhere. When I arrived the kind man at the reception actually carried my luggage all the way up the steep stairs (I was lucky!). The room was clean and the beds were very comfy. The shared bathroom and shower was very clean as well which I was happy about as I was concerned about the sharing. The breakfast is included and you get unlimited tea or coffee and toast. Also, you get a boiled egg, slice of cheese and ham(you can have more for 0,50 euros each). The room where the breakfast is served is lovely and they play classic or jazzy music. Really, I was surprised that this hotel is only 1 star and I would recommended to everyone who is mobile enought to go up a lot of stairs! Can't wait to go back.

I was already aware of the stairs so I was prepared for them, but they are a workout! Also be aware that they add a fee when paying with a credit card so plan ahead and bring cash. Oh and the dog is really cute if you don't try to pet her..she bites haha! Not too hard though. Oh and the toilet seat is unusually high, kinda weird. But really these little quirks are part of the the charm.

Fantastic location, bus stops right outside the door from airport (197), also tram stop which can get you to central station and rest of city in 5/10 mins but to be honest if you want to its easy to walk in. Ask for room 12 if your in a double/twin, great view out over the street below. Van Gogh museum just up the road, as well as a lovely park to walk through and supermarket just at the end of that with nice fresh meats and chesse. No complaints at all

Not a dislike but the stairs are very steep and would be very awkward with a large suitcase.

no lifts and the staircase very narrow. Very uncomfortable for travellors with heavy or big luggages.
