Hotel Nes was very Central within walking distance of all attractions and areas. Staff at the hotel were really friendly & helpful especially the lovely man on reception with dark curly hair. Our room was small but clean & comfortable. The bed was ok but not the most comfortable, fine for the 2 nights we were there. Breakfast was continental.... i loved the madiera cake with jam. Cake for breakfast, what a treat. The coffee was good too. Would go there again for sure. |

The breakfast was good. However some fruit was missing. The situation was great and the staff was very helpful. Small rooms. The attachment has very steep stair, and there is up to 3 floors. The price should not be the same as the nominal building. |

Hotel Nes is centrally located and a very nice place to stay, whether for business or pleasure. It is only a 10 min walk from the train station and about that to any museum or place of interest. |

Good location, luggage storage was great as we had a late flight, good breakfast with friendly staff. Overpriced, tiny room and bathroom, no air conditioning so had to sleep with window open, there was lots of noise from drunk people on the street. We were let down with other accomodation already booked in Amsterdam as there was a big conference the weekend we stayed, so we really had to take what was available. |

Excellent location, comfortable beds, good breakfast. The canal view was always interesting and worth having. Soap dispenser was empty and not replaced in the bath, no plug in the washbasin, parking was very expensive at 48 to 75 Euros per day, and really only possible at an underground car park approx 5 minutes away. |

The location was great, next to the canal, and really close to the center. The bathroom is really small, The TV was working terrible and the lamp in the night table was broken. But the room was ok. |

The location was perfect for staying in the old part of town near the university. Our room had a lovely view of the canal. for the hotel's catagory I thought the bathroom was inadequate in that it lacked the basic supply of hair dryer, shampoo etc. I expected these to be available. |

I requested a room with a view over the water which was thankfully provided as the view contributed to a perfect couple of days in Amsterdam, The hotel was perfect for our needs. The only suggestion I would make is that being a Brit', we enjoy our breakfast so I would have liked a choice of juices (chilled) but all that was provided was very weak (room temperature) orange squash. Apart from that, the rest of the food provided was adequate. |

The area its located in is pretty good, its about 6 minutes walk from the DAM square and 2 minutes walk from the Rembrant square, its in a pretty central location and there are lots of shops, coffee shops and restaurants near it The rooms are pretty small, i did not like that you have to pay 6 euro per hour for wireless internet, i think that is very expensive. Also if you want any good tv programs like news music and entertainment you have to pay 10 euro's for 12 hours. The free channel are very boring and not interesting to watch, but you're in Amsterdam so you shouldn't stay in the Hotel and watch tv anyway. |

Quite convenient location, an elevator even though it was very-very slow. And only one very friendly young boy at the reception really trying to help. Very far from being a three star hotel. No hair dryer, not a light beside the bed, plastic glasses in the bathroom, no mini bar, mattress on double bed made you roll to the sides, not even a 'do not disturb' sign available nowhere in the hotel! When I asked for one in the reception they looked me with wonder... and many other details. I've been in Amsterdam many times, this is the first time I need to say do not choose this one. |

The staff is friendly and professional, exactly what you need!!! A special thanks to Abbas who made my stay enjoyable.Another thank to Wolf. The hotel is well located; in a walking distance from the Red Light District, the Dam plein from one side and from Rembrandtplein,Heineken Experience, Rijksmeuseum from the other ...The Muntplein tram station is 1 minute walking. The hotel has a view on the canal and a beautiful architecture... The comments of other people that I read on the internet was part of my decision to choose this hotel in particular and not another one.I agree that the rooms are small but if you understand the architecture of Amsterdam you know that Nes Hotel makes no exception.Actually I was surprised with the way they could profit from the space, good job!!!.So, basically there was nothing I did not like in this hotel. |
