The hotel is quite centrally located (although Amsterdam is quite small so perhapsnthisnis not so important). The rooms are very small; the reception was quite unfriendly; we couldn't find bar or restaurant facilities; our room didn't have a fridge. We did note that the cleaning staff could be seen sat down in rooms watching tv.

Yes, I like very much my holidays in nh City Centre. The hotel is very close to the flower market and the old quarter with channels fantastic for walking. Several trams passing through the parallel street. You can walk to Central Station in 15 minutes and there are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. The rooms are not large but the beds are very comfortable. The hotel is highly recommended.

Location was nice. Right between Dam, Leidse and Rembrant Plein. Security is good whereby you need your room card to get to the higher floors. Standard single room is quite spacious although there in no bath in the bathroom but only a shower. I have slept on more comfortable beds but I wouldn't say the bed was uncomfortable.

To be honest the only positive I have is the location. To be honest the only positive I have is the location. We both thought the price was extremely overpriced, the room was unbelievably small, the hotel didn't fulfil any of the requests made and to top it off demanded 50Euro as a deposit. Very dissatisfied with my stay at NH City Centre and i will be recommending to family and friends never to stay there...very disappointed!

Easy access taking trams. Central loacations to musuems and other city sites. Frendly staff that speeks English. Good price for location. More staff needed on front desk as sometimes long wait before getting service. Need wash cloths (we got towels and hand towels) Need early check- in for international travelers who arrive in the morning. Don't like having to wait until 3 pm.

The location is nice and we were pleased to find that although we were in the City Centre our room was quiet without too much street noise being heard from outside.

Beautiful lobby, standard NH rooms, nice view, no noise on 2nd floor, great neighborhood. Like most NH hotels I've been to, there's no room service. Bottled water is at minibar cost. Wireless cost is unusually high at €17.85 - if places could keep at 10 or under i'd have no issue. Lifts are very slow, and since it's a popular place, jammed in morning and evening - used the stairs except w luggage.

Excellent location with easy accessible within walking distance to Central Station (and from Schipol airport), main tourist attractions, shops and cafe. Prompt and efficient service by hotel reception staff, safe and convenient luggage storage facility, tea and coffee making facilities in rooms. Will stay here again. Breakfast is not included in room price. The breakfast can be purchased but it is overpriced.

We asked for a canal view room, on our booking form, and the lady at the reception desk told us that we would have to pay another 15 euros a night for the privilege as the hotel was full and they normally give canal rooms as an upgrade. The hotel clearly was not full as the corridor was quiet all night and the following night. however, after much discussion as I was a returning customer, they finally gave us a canal view room. the room was comfortable and well furnished with comfortable beds. the location is the best in town as it is accessible to all the main sites walking distance and shopping and 2 tram lines. the common areas like the stairs and corridors are a bit shabby and in need of decoration. anything other than a canal view room would be a bit grim i think.

Staff very friendly. We were offered street or canal facing room. Breakfast good choice but expensive. The rooms are a little bit dated. An upgrade to the decor would improve it.

“The location is perfect because it is near to the tram and also the Central Station. And it is also easy to find, just located beside the Dam Square. The morning breakfast was very good, nice foods and cozy place to eat. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. One of the staff recommended a nice restaurant which is just 50m away from the hotel.” Fongseong, 高石市 |
