The location was excellent, could not be better I guess. The room could have been cleaner... The breakfast would have cost 20 eur per person and therefore we decided to have breakfast at a nice cafe around the corner, a huge sandwich with latte was less than 10 euros per person.

The hotel is quite centrally located (although Amsterdam is quite small so perhapsnthisnis not so important). The rooms are very small; the reception was quite unfriendly; we couldn't find bar or restaurant facilities; our room didn't have a fridge. We did note that the cleaning staff could be seen sat down in rooms watching tv.

It's in a good location to Anne Franks house and into the city centre Wifi 30 mins free in the lobby only - €10.70 for 24 hours in your room. Only on one device at a time. Fridge in the room had 1 bottle of water which was €2.50 - er no thanks Kettle provided and T-bags - but no uht milk nothing. Parking is very small. Big spaces but little room to manoeuvre ended up hitting the car against a post, but the post has rubber on it - know why now! Getting in and out of the parking once in the hotel is a total pain you have to get a key from the reception which opens the door once then you should you need to go back to the car you need to get them to activate it again. They also want you to hand in your car key once you have parked. We didn'T. There is no lift to the hotel from the parking so I had to bump the stroller up stairs then use a disabled lift which is manual you hold the button etc. The carpet in the bedroom looks clean but after a couple of minutes our white socks were black so maybe keep your shoes on? Pillows felt like they had lumps of foam not a solid piece and you'd need 2 to be comfortable. They didn't provide a bed for one of my children despite asking.

Great location: Very close to a tram station, situated in a lovely area, and a short walking distance from many major city center attractions. Some days we didn't use public transportation at all. Many good cafes and restaurants (not the touristy kind) just outside the hotel, still the area is pretty quiet at night. Nothing of the noise and mess of Leidseplein, for example. The front desk staff was mostly very nice and attentive. Poor value for money: Relatively expensive, but doesn't offer much except for a great location. Breakfast isn't included and is very expensive - 20 euros per person (they offered it for 15 if you we ate every day of your stay), while you can eat a lovely fulfilling breakfast for 10 euros (at most) in many cute cafes very nearby. Or you can buy groceries and make yourselves a sandwich. Cleanliness: Overall the rooms seemed very clean, but one night there was a mouse in our room. When we called to report it (at 4am), we immediately got another room. Still, the clerk seemed oddly well-prepared, as if this happens regularly... Staff efficiency: The refrigerator in our room wasn't working. In the morning we told a clerk about it, who said it will be fixed that day. In the evening it wasn't fixed, and the clerk (another one) didn't know what we were talking about, said it will be fixed tomorrow... eventually we got another room due to said mouse. One night we forgot to lock our room door from the inside (there's a mechanical lock, in addition to the standard card key). At ~3am someone opened the door (i.e. had the card key) and then immediately closed it, waking us up scared. Probably a cleaning worker. If they had checked they would have known that the room is occupied. One day the cleaning worker took the opened soap & shampoo containers, but didn't leave any new ones... So overall I'd say this hotel lacks attention for details. Twice we were woken up in the middle of the night because of things that shouldn't have happened in the first place and could have been prevented.

The location is very good. The hotel is in a great neighborhood with easy access to the Nine Streets and Jordaan. The rooms are small and the woman at the front desk has the tact of a Marine drill Sergeant.

The peaceful atmosphere of the hotel and the comfort / facilities of the room, it was worth the money, for the short trip I had planned. The hotel felt safe, which is important, would recommend it if you have the budget for it. The price of water and other things, plus not having wifi for more than 30 mins at a time, unless you paid for it, for such an expensive hotel this could have been better in my view.

Location was good for walking the city For a superior room the facilities were basic. To call it a superior room is misleading. Room 19: I tour the world and the room was best described as clean, spacious but basic. No robes, limited coffee making facilities, dark having only one small window, dirty stained chairs that needed replacement. All wood work well worn and useds. Window frames needed painting.

Location good. Breakfast reasonable - a buffet. Ocer priced, shabby and impersonal. I get the feeling that this hotel is only concerned with processing as many people through as possible. The hotel was overpriced for what was on offer. The rooms are dull and a bit shabby. It looks like there is no ongoing investment in the hotel.

Perfect location with walking distance to everything we wanted to see in Amsterdam (museums, restaurants, shopping, nightlife, etc). All very close. Basic hotel with small rooms and no free wifi in the rooms, and to a high price.

good basic hotel, clean rooms, extremely good location to get to the museum area, Dam, Leidseplan, Red light district, Joordaan, anywhere really. We walked everywhere. Great shopping very close, Joordaan's little boutiques and the nine streets just around the corner, also the high streets were very close. Good places to eat and go out on the same street. Easy to access from railway station by tram. All you need if you plan to have an active city holiday and not stay in the hotel room except to sleep. Sound isolation wasn't the greatest, could hear conversations from the neighbouring room, tobacco smell in the corridors, but only minor if you're not going to stay in your room for half the day.

Excellent location and fortunately our room was available for an earlier check in. We were lucky to get a canal view room ( These are quieter than the street view rooms overlooking Spuistraat) Our standard room was very small ( but comfortable and contained everything we needed)

Convenient location. My sheets were not clean when I checked in. I called reception and asked if it was possible to change my sheets. Then someone from housekeeping dept came to my room and scolded me angrily.. It was scary as she and I was alone in the room and she made me feel like she could attack me.. I had to show her all the hairs on the pillow, and the sheets.. she was very rude and she had to change the sheets after my insistence..
