The free shuttle bus more than makes up for the lack of wi-fi in the rooms but in this day an age, free wi fi in the rooms is a must. Beautiful hotel and great location. Very helpful american chap when checking in on november 17th. Beautiful rooms and hotel and cleaning service are great and very comfortable

The bus driver on saturday had a bus full of people and refused to leave for 15 minutes even though the previous bus had just pulled in and went straight back out the door again. The hotel is 5km not 2km as stated on booking.com the hotel is 20 minute walk not 8 from the ferry.

Nothing to be mentioned. Location of the hotel might be a little disadvantage , but the shuttle services covers it pretty well

I had a clean room and a large comfortable bed. There was a wide choice of TV channels. The staff were friendly. The very necessary shuttle bus saves you a fortune in taxi fares.

You have to pay for internet access in your room. The hotel is miles from Amsterdam centre and the shuttle bus stops running at 10pm (which is why I know there are several TV channels available in the room!). The fitness room is poorly equipped and the food is expensive and not very good. The breakfast is especially disappointing based on an extremely restricted menu and charges levied on a per item basis; rather like an undersized anemic Subway concesion with less choice, less taste and higher prices..In my opinion,NH hotels are generally good, this one needs work.

The hotel staff was very attentive to both my wife and I. They were always ready to give advice on eating out, best travel arrangements that suited our needs etc. After paying an initial cost for taxi from central station to the nh Gallaxy of 23 euro, it was refreshing to know that a free courtesy bus was available that ran until 11:45 pm. The breakfast was very good and also the evening meal was of good quality.

In honesty I would stay with the nh groups for the reasons above but I would maybe next time choose the Barbizon palace, for no other reason than the location.

The staff really make this Hotel... they are excellent. I chose this Hotel for location having stayed for many years at far more expensive Centeral Hotels... I am so glad I have found this hidden gem.

Poor location, expensive breakfast, small rooms, not very inviting place to stay

We requested a smoking room and emailed ahead a week in advance to make sure we got one as this was one of the main reasons we choose this hotel but when we checked in, we were told the only smoking rooms they had left were with a double bed which was of no use to me and my friend

Nice location not in the overcrowded center but wirth wery convenient free transfer to the city. Possible place for free parking nearby the hotel! Quiet and comfortable place.

Las day of stay unexpectly we found in our room extra bed. Electronic keys became unworking twice so we needed to exchange them in the lobby.

Ik vond een net hotel en de reden dat we deze kozen is opkorte afstand van Amsterdam plus dat t gratis parkeren is en dan vonden we t ook nog eens een mooie service dat er een busje is die je binnen 10 min naar Amsterdam brengt!!! En de bedden sliepen heerlijk! Zeer net hotel waar we zeker terug komen. T is het onthouden waard!!!! Gr. Francis

Uns hat das Hotel wirklich sehr gefallen. Wir waren mit unserem Sohn, 4 Jahre, unterwegs und bekamen gleich ein Zimmer mit etwas breiterem Bett (ohne Nachzufragen). Das Hotelpersonal war sehr freundlich. Das Hotel liegt nicht zentral, jedoch ist es mit dem öffentlichen Bus (Linie 34 und 35) vom HBF schnell zu erreichen. Diesen Bus haben wir nur bei der Anreise gebraucht, denn das Hotel bietet einen Shuttle-Service, der tagsüber (10Uhr bis 22Uhr) alle 15 Min. bis zum NH Hotel im Zentrum (direkt gegenüber vom Hauptbahnhof) fährt - wenn man das weiß kann man diesen Service bei der Anreise schon nutzen. Das hat wirklich sehr gut geklappt und auch die Rückfahrten zum Hotel (auch alle 15min.) haben wir immer in Anspruch genommen. Gewöhnungsbedürftig war das Frühstück im Hotel, welches durch einen Hotelangestellten an der Bar zubereitet und gereicht wird (also kein typisches Büffet). Aber es gab genügend Auswahl an Marmelade, Wurst, Brötchen und auch Sandwiches konnte man sich belegen lassen, Rühreier, Kaffee, Kakao usw....also wirklich sehr gut. Im Zimmer gibt es übrigens DVD Player.

Frühstück kein Büffet - wenn das jemanden stört...

Etablissement calme, très bien équipé avec un parking gratuit ( très rare à A'dam) et l'avantage d'une navette gratuite - de 10 à 23h45.

Le petit déjeuner en dehors du WE ( où il y a un P.Déj. buffet corect) : il fallait commander son petit déjeuner au bar et mes oeufs n'étaient même pas accompagnés d'une tranche de pain.

Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber, das Hotel liegt (trotz Stadtnähe) sehr ruhig und kostenloses Obst liegt frei aus. Ein kostenloser Parkplatz, inclusive kostenloser Shuttle zum Stadtzentrum rundete den Service ab.

Der Preis für das Frühstück war zu hoch, das Obst am Büffet wurde auch nicht immer nachgefüllt.
