The staff was very helpful with entertainment and dining recommendations as well as generally friendly. All ammenities were great. The room (and bathroom) were very small. |

The helpfulness of the staff, the cleanliness of the room and the general ambience of the hotel. We visited over New Year and the temperature was below freezing so it was nice to come back to a warm, welcoming hotel The breakfast a 28 (euros) was grossly over priced therefore we did not breakfast in the hotel but sought a cheaper alternative outside of the hotel. I think the hotel could have provided a cheaper alternative which has happened at other 4 star hotels we have stopped in. This is OK in the summer but in the winter was not so good. We did have a snack meal in the hotel lounge which was good. |

I had planned a surprise champaign in the room, went there 2 weeks before to arrange. And then the person behind the registration desk announces it to us when we check in. I made it clear it was to be a surprise. |

Best thing about this hotel is its location. Hotel benefits from prime location and reputable historical brand name. If you however look for a quality luxury hotel in the center of Amsterdam there are better alternatives. |

Good hotel, actually one of the most deluxe ones I ever stayed. Services were supurb. Breakfast is one of the best. Very comfprtable bathtub. All the electric sockets, but one, didn't work. Towel heater in the bathroom didn't work. And in the last morning the hair drier suddenly didn't work. |

Excellent location. Friendly staff. Very good barmen at the bar next to Lounge. Nice food at the Lounge with a beautiful view to Dam square. We liked breakfast very much. They say it is the best in Holland, and it seems to be true. You can not make the temperature of water in a shower right, because it is constantly fluctuating from cold to hot. Bad room lighting. Rooms, lifts,facilities generally need updating. |

Having stayed at this hotel for over 6 years I'm pleased to report that the CS aspect is much improved Could not eat in their main restaurant as it was closed (but they did resolve this problem very well) Main breakfast area which is the feature of the hotel was also closed due to a conference The price is on the high side for what it is |

Location, service 5 star hotels should not allow large groups of guests possibly American rappers, to dominate public areas and eat Macdonalds burgers and packets of chips. Bad room lighting, lamps not working |
