NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky    

The staff was exceptional and went out of their way to help. The location in the main square was great for a single woman. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and the cafe was great.

My room was in the middle of the hotel, so my view was limited and the room smelled a bit.

The hotel is very luxurious with old fashioned charm. The room was very modern, clean and comfortable with a brilliant TV.

The room was old and very dated The bathroom was also very dated and not in the best of condition, a separate toilet had no ventilation and as such smelt quite badly. A big room but no view whatsoever.

The place is quite dated. I heard they're doing up the place but I didn't see that. The airconditioning panel was easily 30 years old. Also the doors to the bathroom were thin wooden plates with a gap between them...

Very noisey

Everything was great. I was a little bit skeptical and worried about it when I was booking, because the reviews were very negative and I thought it might turn out to be a waste of money, but because of the location and also the price which was on "secret deals" I booked it. I can say that it was perfect! We asked for the newer rooms and the gave us a perfect one, very clean and nice, the bed was perfect, bathroom and facilities were amazing and staffs were friendly and helpful. But the best thing about the hotel is its location which is right infront of the dam square and 5-6 minutes walk from the central station. I would really recommend this hotel.

The view from the room was not good.

Very responsive and caring staff: when discovering that there was booking.com mistake (a photo on the website - very modern deluxe room - didn't correspond to actual room type/design that we were given) offered us a free upgrade to junior suite.

Friendly, clean & comfortable with best location. If I get a chance to visit Amsterdam again, I will book my room with NH Grand Kransnapolsky.

The food in the Relef restaurant was excellent.

The pictures lied a bit. We had to look for the gold and luxury from the pictures. Everything was a bit shabby, though I could see the glam that once was here.

Very convenient to reach museums and shopping spots.Rooms are spacious! We like your Hotel. But please take into serious consideration our complaint in "what didn't you like" section

We liked Hotel verymuch, we shall visit again, actually we have booked for August already! If it is possible we prefere the same room. But! We have a serious complaint which is there are moth pests in that room, The management should seriously fight against moth especially in the room Nr. 2012. There should be also moth in other rooms. Moth eats textile as you know. We witnessed that we have carried some moths from your hotel to our home, now we use moth killer tablets in our wardrobes.

Decor bit dated

The bed was so comfy. The location was great. Was upgraded so that was a nice surprise for my 40th birthday

Wasn't informed of the party that was in the winter garden on Saturday 20th April. Wasn't informed how to spend free drinks vouchers. Didn't use the drinks voucher as didn't know whether it was 1 drink or for 2.

great location! Nice hotel, all you needed from a hotel. Big room, well appointed. Although breakfast was vey expensive, it was very good!!

The smell wasn't so pleasant from the 5th elevator on the 4th floor. Our bathroom was very dated, but clean and big. There was a very noisey party Saturday night. Dining in the hotel was quite pricey.

The cardboard cutouts of a man in a dressing gown in the revolving doors. The display is tasteless and there must be a better way to advertise the hotel.

The room we thought we had booked according to the website had not been re-furbed & was nothing like it looked, That said, we did get a reduced rate for the 2 nights.

Location--very close to Central rail station.

No coffee in room. Internet available, but poor. Maid service less than great. Rooms and accomodations aged. Cost of breakfast unreasonable.
