Excellent location. Friendly staff. Very good barmen at the bar next to Lounge. Nice food at the Lounge with a beautiful view to Dam square. We liked breakfast very much. They say it is the best in Holland, and it seems to be true. You can not make the temperature of water in a shower right, because it is constantly fluctuating from cold to hot. Bad room lighting. Rooms, lifts, facilities generally need updating. |

Having stayed at this hotel for over 6 years I'm pleased to report that the CS aspect is much improved Could not eat in their main restaurant as it was closed (but they did resolve this problem very well) Main breakfast area which is the feature of the hotel was also closed due to a conference The price is on the high side for what it is |

Location, service 5 star hotels should not allow large groups of guests possibly American rappers, to dominate public areas and eat Macdonalds burgers and packets of chips. Bad room lighting, lamps not working |

Central location. Nice breakfast. Unwelcoming reception staff. Room possibly in need of modernisation for 5 star hotel. Lacklustre experience. Room displayed as standard on booking website is actually an upgraded room for which you have to pay and additional nightly charge. |

location was excellent and the bar/tea room was reasonably attractive, but value for money was very poor. Rooms, lifts, facilities generally need updating urgently. Staff were overwhelmed by the number of guests! |

The hotel is calm, the rooms are comfortable, the television excellent with easy access to all the progrmas. All functioned very well. The access to some of the rooms is far, confusing and complicated. The prices at the bar are exorbitant.! |

The location and the breakfast open puffet, It was a good place to stay but to be honest I am not going back there,The great about it is just the Location. The services and the cleanliness of my room, plus they charged me over what i used from the mini bar cause the room service was too lazy to check the bar everyday |

The location is the best feature of this hotel. They also have HDTV with a lot of international channels. Comfort of the beds are horrible. The bed mattress are too soft. The pillows are 2 high. They don't have king bed but 2 twins beds together and even the sheets are separate for each bed. The shower water temperature is not consistent (change to burning or cold in less then 1 second). I upgraded my room to a suite in the Royal wing expecting a lot better but same problem in both rooms. The first room has not water pressure at all. Not a bad hotel. Would be an amazing one if they would fix all the problems but right now for the price you pay, there's a lot of better hotel in Amsterdam. |

location is great! Apparently they have 2 sections - I got unfortunate and stayed in the section which resembled a time warp to the eighties, when the hotel last invested in the room - major disappointed. |

Its position as a strategic central location within walking distance of most facilities:Central Station,Shopping area,Crowded central square, restaurants etc... Our Check-in was scheduled at 3:00P.M. It was delayed 30 minutes, then 30 other minutes, then 30 other minutes till 5:00P.M.Also Elevator Number 5 was two crowded and always busy,Each time I had to wait 5 minutes till it arrives.Once i took the stairs with some other guests and once we reached the ground floor, there was no door and we ended up in the basements where we were supposed to break an emergency glass to open the sealed door !!! |
