Perfect location

I think it doesn't cost the money they ask. We paid 200 euros per night, what really for? The room is pretty regular, it's big comparing to other Amsterdam hotels but really nothing special. The window view is nothing (walls and back yard). One night (just in the middle - about 3 am) we had false fire alarm. It was pretty loud and noisy and it sounded about 1 hour!! They couldn't switch it off! And this is 5* hotel!? You kidding! And the hotel staff was completely not ready for the situation! They didn't know what to do and what to say to guests. I'm just afraid to imagine what would be if it were true fire alarm.

The hotel had style and a very good location

Great location, good service, good food, great building/facility & friendly staff who are multilingual

The wi-fi didnt work in our room or very well in the rest of the hotel. The two waste-water outlets in our room didnt work well at all. The tiles were chipped or cracked and the room needed renovation which was reported to the desk. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep.

The room was absolutely fantastic! Very modern and comfortable. The place is very grand and kept to a high standard.

The staff were very short and far from friendly. Checking in was 30 minutes!

The location was perfect but too much noisy.

The staff of the hotel especially at the reception was not polite and helpfull. Always talking with the phone and not looking to the guests. The room was small and furnichures were old and dirty. Especiall the carpet was too dirty. The door of the wc was not useful. The location of the hotel was reaaly perfect but if the room was looking to the Dam square it is not easy to sleep because of to much voice at night and early in the morning

The breakfast was amazing

Directly in the city center. Very good choice of breakfast.

The room was smelling of cigarette smoke, toilet not working, AC could not be controlled. Wery rude reception staff kept picking phones during conversation with me and interrupting check-in/out process.

Location is great, rooms were a good size and comfortable.

Didn't like the separate toilet as it didn't have a sink. Parking was very expensive.

Some equipment not in working order. One item, hair dryer, replaced immediately when front desk notified. Second item, ice-maker, told I could use one on another floor!!

Great room in the main building, rest of the rooms can be really old. Hotel can be like a train station but location is really good. Breakfast is amazing. Just make sure you book a nice room or you will be disappointed. Service has gone down in this hotel, it used to be very different but I guess they are working on this. This hotel miss a great Spa, that would make this a really good five star. So great Location, great breakfast but poor equipment and not amazing rooms for a 5 star
