We had the sunset view (city view) which was great.
We paid for the great view, but there was a huge TV standing right in front it. The design of the hotel makes you feel as if you're sleeping in a garage. It's all white paint and concrete. Plastic chairs in the breakfast area and bar, etc. Sadly, the minimalist design has resulted in minimalist comfort.
We loved the hotel and the staff. Amazing hotel!!!
Very slow and often disconnected wi-fi
Cleanliness & Comfort
house keeping service need to be better
Stayed in one of the suites, overlooking the Erasmus Bridge. Stunning view and an excellent hotel. Very close to a metro stop, tram lines, lots of restaurants and the theatre. Special mention to the staff in the hotel - especially Martin in the bar!! Would definitely return.
Had an evening meal in the hotel, and though the food was fine, the slowness of the service was a major issue - nearly 2 hours for a starter and a main!
Very modern, sleek design with great views of Rotterdam and excellent bar and breakfast buffet
Rooms were a bit 'cold' with all the concrete and glass that made them up and not a lot of space to put away clothes/stuff
...drainage of floor of shower.
clean, nice location and view, nice breakfast
room was cold, couldn't control the airco, lift worked with room card but no one told at the reception, was alittle confusing
The hotel is excellently located close to the city centre and more important in my case, next to the cruise terminal. The view from my room on the 23rd floor was incredible. The amenities in the room were above expectations. There is a very comfy chair which was great for reading. The Nespresso machine was probably my favorite feature. The bathroom amenities were of high quality and well thought through
The staff however was appalling. As I entered the hotel there was 1 lady at the desk who was on the phone, she seemed to be on hold. She did not acknowledge my presence at any time, and as she finished her phone all after 5 minutes she told she would be right back (still no good afternoon) and disappeared to an office in the back. She came back and checked me in. She was not rude or unfriendly but definitely not welcoming either. I had 2 more conversations with front office staff and in both cases staff seemed uninterested and uncaring. Normally this would be a reason for me to not return....
Bed, space, bathroom
messy restaurant (breakfast)
We got a room up on the 19th floor and had a great view of the harbour and the sun rising over the horizon (and we got a corner room, which I guess is room 14 on each floor should you want to request a room with extra floor space and windows). The breakfast was way above what you can generally expect in the Netherlands, in that there was some stuff with a discernible flavour, and coffee which wasn't completely terrible. The terrace next to the bar/restaurant has an awesome view of the river & the Erasmusbrug which makes for a perfect cocktail-drinking spot. The hotel gave us a free 5pm checkout, and free breakfast which was a pleasant surprise, and the woman on the checkin counter was super-helpful in terms of giving us recommendations for places to at nearby and the easiest way to navigate the city.
The service in the restaurant was slow and sometimes inattentive, and the ambience was a bit odd, the place was gradually turning into a nightclub as we were eating, which made us feel a bit rushed. The only way to see the room service menu was to access it via the TV, but the controls for the smartTV functions weren't working. Jammer.
I was staying there for two nights with my wife and our teenager child. The hotel is located in center area, every possible attraction is not so far. I'd 100% suggest people who are willing to book a room in "nhow Rotterdam" hotel to choose sunset rooms, the view from that side is "Bomb!" it's fully exciting. And the bridge...very nice! They have a variety of food in their restaurant. They also have a good underground parking area, there is enough space even for wide cars.
The only one thing was not so convenient - bathroom is from the glass. It's not a problem if you are traveling as couple, but to me is not so good if you are with childs :)
Breakfast was lovely, dining area very nice. Great view We were heading out on a cruise and the terminal is right next door, we stayed on departure one night as well as one night when we arrive back. Perfect location.
Very special bulding and facilities, although for modern design lovers only. Excellent breakfast. Right at an underground station.
Design not aligned with function in some details. Not enough space for towels. Water from shower tended to pour into WC.
Very clean room , with excellent bed, tv and shower.Nice vieuw. Silent and all the ingredients why you use a hotel...to have a good night sleep. Breakfast was included and great!
No bath...it seems the hotel has only a few rooms with bath. If you go to the toilet in the middle of the night , the light shines bright in the room as the bathroom wall is from glass! You partner is then also full awake! Great when ....you are older and go twice at night! Do designers ever sleep in their own bedroom??
Breakfast was very good. Room was very comfortable.
Stylish room with great views, very beautiful building, nice bar and terrace also right by tube station and close to New York hotel and SS Rotterdam
Nothing if anything lack of leisure facilities but nice room and view compensate for it
Excellent view of city Convenient location Super clean Intriguing design touches Great bar Great breakfast
Maybe a little *too* modern for some Design obscured some features (e.g. the TV was hidden behind a mirror- we had no idea the room even had a TV until we were leaving) Glass bathrooms too exposed Keyed elevator took some figuring out
Rooms, the bigger ones that is, location (getting everywhere with water taxi is great) the bar is pretty ok.
The smaller rooms are really a bit too cramped. They started building a new metro line on the bridge right in front of the hotel. The noise is deafening and will take another year at least. The breakfast could be better with a decent cook.
They have the rule - your 5 years old kid must stay in separate room (because of safety reasons) which out of any sense (probably somebody was under impact of drugs, when wrote such an illogical rule)!!! Never ever stay in this hotel and recommendation for other - never choose this hotel, unless you are not traveling alone...
Nice hotel with nice location and nice views, clean hotel. Delicious breakfast.
Great slab of a skyscraper. The Sunset rooms have a great view of the bridge and skyline. Really cool. Fab bed. Big room.
Metro is just outside otherwise it feels a little isolated.
Tru the upgrade and amazing breakfest
