NH Rijnhotel  

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Sylvia at the front desk was awesome. Most of the others at the front desk were also great. The restaurant was very good. The room was clean. We loved, loved, loved the view of the Rhine River. It was very peaceful with little building on the other side of the river and not a lot of ships. A nice view of the city off to the left. Idyllic. It was well worth the money to get a balcony. Our bathroom was very large and had a nice shower with great water pressure. There were lots of personal items that hotels don't offer without asking: earplugs, razor, body sponge, etc. They were very nice. There is a small refrigerator stocked with drinks and snacks for sale. We had trouble finding the laminated price list, but it was there. There was enough room for us to store leftovers from dinner for breakfast the next morning. There is a nice little coffee/tea maker in the room. The lobby has drinks that vary such as a strawberry yogurt drink, etc. Everyone speaks excellent English.

Free internet access was available only in the lobby and only 1/2 hour at a time. More then once I pressed submit and the half hour was up and I lost my entire page of work and had to redo it. Of course, you can't Skype or do anything with speech or sound. We were able to use it in our room, but it was slow. Most of the ladies let us take several 1/2 hour "certificates" (you need a different code each half hour) but one snapped at us and said we only get one and only get to use it in the lobby. In the digital age, this is a HUGE minus. The bus is either up a steep hill or a bit of a walk. Not too bad, but you aren't in the center of things. In Arnhem, you get on the bus and tell him where you want to go, and he randomly makes up a price. We found the price changed according to the driver. You can't buy a set of ten passes as you can in Belgium. No laundry facilities. You can send off your laundry to be cleaned, but only on weekdays. We did three loads of laundry ourselves at the laundromat, and paid 24 Euro between bus charges and washer and dryer fees. Ouch! The laundromat is quite far. The hotel does need some attention. There were spots on the floor where the laminate had rotted and we never did figure out how to get the room a comfortable temperature. Price of breakfast is ridiculous. We didn't partake.

Nice welcoming staff and good location on the riverside. Dinner was excellent.

Parking is limited and you have to reverse on to the main road which is quite risky at busy time.

The friendly, helpful and courteous staff made us feel welcome as soon as we entered, and continued to do so through our 3 day stay. The room was exactly what we asked for - riverside view, our own patio and lots of room. The restaurant is excellent - we enjoyed dinner there on 2 nights and the food was superb. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The staff were friendly and very helpful, rooms were clean and comfotable and the food was excellent. We would definately stay there again if we were to return to Arnhem, and would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Excellent location to visit either Arnhem or Oosterbeek with warm and friendly staff.

Very welcoming, clean and comfortable. Good location for a strole into Arnhem. Good joice of food for breakfast.

The beautiful views from our window, and the tranquility of our room after a day in the busy city.

Breakfast was good, but the evening meal was too expensive and didn`t offer any basic food choice.We ate out all week.

Staff were nice and room views were nice.

Room was not very clean and the smell of smoke in the room and corridors.

Large beds. Clean.

No elevator to downstairs.
