Rho is on the edge of Dam Square, half a mile from Amsterdam Central Train Station. It has free Wi-Fi and the lobby is an impressive Art Deco-style former theater.

The famous Vondelpark functions as a backyard garden to Hotel City Garden, which is on the fancy P.C. Hooftstraat shopping street. It provides rooms with street or park views.
Score from 1453 reviews Good
The City Hotel Amsterdam includes a complimentary breakfast and is just over a quarter mile from the Central Train Station. Its 18th-century building gives the hotel a characteristic atmosphere.

The walls are thin you can hear people walking.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Also location is very convenient. Near tram station, .
Correct, clean, light, enough space.
all is good
No bath mat for outside shower. rubber mat would be helpful in the shower.
Excellent beds. Helpful staff.
price - value for money
location and easy access
Bed was little bit small but comfortable
Location: 5 min walk to the museums and 15 min far from center by tram Cozy, staff are friendly and cheerful Breakfast is simple but v. Good Good wifi
Breakfast was a good selection of breads, cheeses and cereal. Friendly staff and quiet location to get around Amsterdam.
paper thin walls, noisy heater.
Good bed, nice view to the interior court.
The TV was disgusting and sticky. I was not able to put the sound down The TV reception was not good
The staff was friendly. The breakfast was good
If you bring your car use the Park and Ride facility, very expensive to park outside the hotel.
Location was good. Easy access to the centre. Excellent food and staff in the nearby Kale bar just round the corner. Quirky stairs to your room.
Booked a double room and got a twin, hotel was full so couldn't change, not ideal.Breakfast was basic but did the job
Staff couldnt do enough, clean rooms, bath and shower excellent
Rooms are tight, but your are out exploring the city so not a problem!
The staff are all super friendly and helpful. Location very close to museums, Heineken Experience, and center city. Thanks for everything! We truly enjoyed it. Also great breakfast.
good location, good value for money, nice staff, good breakfast
Excellent staff all spoke good english good access to main attractions via trams
The bathroom was too small...
Location is good, breakfast is greeat!
Down side was queues for museums, Anne Frank etc as we didn't use fast track. But always means another visit to do the things we missed.
Interesting city with something for everyone. Museums always busy so worth paying a bit extra to book time or fast track.
I asked for a couple bed instead of individual beds when I booked, but I believe they didn't read it. :( People talk about the room/bathroom sizes, they are small. But you are there just to sleep yes? Just watch your step to not hit yourself in the bathroom and all will be fine.
Friendly staff, basic breakfast was enough, at walking distance to Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Rembrandtsplein, Amstel River. Take Tram #4 from Amsterdam Centraal to Frederiksplein and walk 200m to hotel. 24h entrance, you can come and go as you want, which is really good. Really nice restaurant/bakery at the corner. Not noisy due to trams, there is one tram way near but I found it silent enough.
Dont expect luxury, its not hyatt or crown and breakfast was pretty ordinary
Comfortable bed, no noise, peaceful sleep, location was also ok not far just 5-6 stops from central station from the mentioned stop turn towards rabo bank and enter left in 2nd lane there you are, it took me a while to get there bit annoying
Bathroom could have been bigger!!
The hotel allows easy access to many parts of the city on foot. If one would like to use the tram (service is A+ in Amsterdam) number 4 stops in Fredricksplein which is quite close to the hotel and gets you to Rembrantsquare (restaurants, coffeeshops, pubs, cinema ect) and Dam Square (Madam Taussaud, Dungeons, Sex Museum, SHOPPING!!) as well as the central station.
Would of liked a double bed.
Really like the staff and being able to book trips, tram tickets etc at the reception.
A extremely hard bed was not good for my back. Left the hotel with severe pain after two nights stay. The mattress was the hardest I have ever met in my life-time. I didn´t sleep well, very bad, as I loved this hotel in all other aspects.
A very nice and friendly hotel, 20 minutes walk to Amsterdam central station but tram 4 stops close to the hotel. Calm street nearby, a wonderful breakfast and friendly staff, easy to talk with.
Friendly staff; not too far from centre; quiet
Helpful staff, bikes available for hire, bar available, location near to museums
only partially redone 4-5 years ago, doors are old, and thin, bathrooms have hanging towel holders, ceiling had a stain, the place has no style, staircase is hazardously small and steep
super internet, good breakfast, good location
