This hotel is in the center of Amsterdam just a 4-minute walk from Rembrandtplein. Residence Le Coin features bright rooms with a kitchenette. Tram stop Muntplein is a 1-minute walk away.
Score from 939 reviews Very good
Friendly staff, basic breakfast was enough, at walking distance to Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Rembrandtsplein, Amstel River. Take Tram #4 from Amsterdam Centraal to Frederiksplein and walk 200m to hotel. 24h entrance, you can come and go as you want, which is really good. Really nice restaurant/bakery at the corner. Not noisy due to trams, there is one tram way near but I found it silent enough.
I asked for a couple bed instead of individual beds when I booked, but I believe they didn't read it. :( People talk about the room/bathroom sizes, they are small. But you are there just to sleep yes? Just watch your step to not hit yourself in the bathroom and all will be fine.
Comfortable bed, no noise, peaceful sleep, location was also ok not far just 5-6 stops from central station from the mentioned stop turn towards rabo bank and enter left in 2nd lane there you are, it took me a while to get there bit annoying
Dont expect luxury, its not hyatt or crown and breakfast was pretty ordinary
The hotel allows easy access to many parts of the city on foot. If one would like to use the tram (service is A+ in Amsterdam) number 4 stops in Fredricksplein which is quite close to the hotel and gets you to Rembrantsquare (restaurants, coffeeshops, pubs, cinema ect) and Dam Square (Madam Taussaud, Dungeons, Sex Museum, SHOPPING!!) as well as the central station.
Bathroom could have been bigger!!
Really like the staff and being able to book trips, tram tickets etc at the reception.
Would of liked a double bed.
A very nice and friendly hotel, 20 minutes walk to Amsterdam central station but tram 4 stops close to the hotel. Calm street nearby, a wonderful breakfast and friendly staff, easy to talk with.
A extremely hard bed was not good for my back. Left the hotel with severe pain after two nights stay. The mattress was the hardest I have ever met in my life-time. I didn´t sleep well, very bad, as I loved this hotel in all other aspects.
Friendly staff; not too far from centre; quiet
Helpful staff, bikes available for hire, bar available, location near to museums
super internet, good breakfast, good location
only partially redone 4-5 years ago, doors are old, and thin, bathrooms have hanging towel holders, ceiling had a stain, the place has no style, staircase is hazardously small and steep
Great location. Great wi-fi. Staff extremely helpfull! Óptimas condições do quarto. breakfast commonly dutch and very nice. i Recomend it for sure!
The location is perfect, just outside the noise though excellent to discover the centre of Amsterdam. Also very close to the Albert Cuypmarkt, the Rijksmuseum and a lot of good and not too expensive restaurants in area "De Pijp". Staff is very hospitable!
If you want to sit in your Hotel all day there are only few facilities in the Hotel itself.
They have a nice breakfast. The location is far enough outside the center to be fairly quiet, yet most things you will want to see are still within 15min walking or taking the tram. Make sure you check out the street market which is only like a block away.
This is our third time staying at this hotel and I'm not sure if we just had quieter neighbors in the past, but this time there was an Italian couple next door. Every word of their conversation could be heard through the walls. Luckily it didn't go on till too late. This is the only problem we have ever had at the hotel. The bed is also not the most comfortable I have had.
Very cosy, a little hard to find but well located for my purposes of the visit. Even if rather centrally located it was very calm. I had a room at the second floor facing the street but there was no disturbance. Very nice and helpful staff. Lovely bed. Perfect breakfast even if not big it had everything. Helpful service at breakfast.
No safe in the room but then the hotel reception was very helpful and stored my backpack with computer and so on in their office.
The location of the hotel is great. The staff is helpful and hospitable. The rooms are small but you have got all you need.
The breakfast was not rich. This aspect could have been improved. The walls are very thin and the noise from neighboring rooms are clearly heard in your.
Great location in walking distance to the major museums and trams, excellent Italian style deli on nearby corner for early evening meals, clean and comfortable with very good breakfasts and helpful and friendly staff.
Break fast, internet, near by hotel it has nise street with several shops and resturant
Heather dosent work probabely and when i asked reception to send someone to fix it after 20 min he came up and tell me as his opinion it was good and ask me if ure feel cold i should'nt wear t-shirt in my room i have to wear more i dont understand what is this behavior with customer and he start shouting on me when i asked who is ure manager he reply im the manager so dude except this negative point all the things goes well
1) Location was very good. 2) Breakfast is really great. 3) Wi-fi was working good in the room. 4) There is a safe. 5) Staff was nice. 6) Window/Sunlight in the room. 7) Tram No:4 from Central Station.
Some weak points: 1) There was congestion in the sink. 2) Toilet, when you flush out, it splashed out water around. 3) Nobody told me that there was a lift and receptionist told nothing when I was struggling to move my baggage to the second floor through the narrow stairs during check-in. I learned it during my checkout. 4) No slippery and/or towel for floor ( after bath ) 5) A lot of noise from other rooms or from corridor. 6) Price was a bit high for this room. 7) Albert Heijn is relatively far from hotel.
Hotel Nicolaas Witsen has a very good location: you have take tram 4 to get to the Central Station, but you can even walk since a lot of sights are within walking distance. The accommodation is clean, breakfast is sufficient, and hosts are friendly and hospitable.
*Polite staff *Fair breakfast *Walking distance to center
*Heat was turned off in the room during the day, making the room ice cold *Thin walls
breakfast, kettle + tea & coffee provided in room
I am very thankful to all the hotel staff that was really kind and efficient. The location is very good and the premises clean and well run.
A little incident with a person of the staff at breakfast service that made fun of me imitating my way of speaking while informing my room number. I felt really unconfortable and speachless. I think that should never happen to anyone anywhere.
The location of the hotel. Very clean. The staff was very friendly.
Really nice staff, they are happy to help you with everything that you need. Rooms are small but confortable, however excellent for the price.
The hotel is located in a quiet area, not far from the center, with very friendly personnel and very nice breakfast. Clean, warm and excellent wifi. I recommend it definetely.
I can't say anything negative.
The plusses: easily accessible location; pleasant staff; excellent wifi service; comfortable room.
I honestly don't have anything over which to complain.
