The Staff and service was excellent! The breakfast in the morning is far more than most breakfasts you find in Europe. Most places will have coffee and danish but this hotel had scrambled eggs, bacon, cereal, juice, meats and cheeses, breads with the little candy sprinkles. In the evening it had a great area to sit and relax with a drink, very relaxing. The room was a little on the small side, made me think I was in Japan again. The bed had a few loose springs that would wake you up in the middle of the night with an ache, then you find a new spot and sleep for another hour until the next ache would wake you again.

Stayed here over new year weekend on way up through holland. This time of year the reception and bar area was very festive. Bonus feature free parking on street. So handy for lovely town of middle burg. Very reasonably priced especially as paid in euro. Huge buffet breakfast in good room, not your usual basement. Some previous comments about unhelpful staff but we found all those who we encountered were pleasant and able to deal with any questions we had. We will return even if it means going out of our way.

The hospitality is famous and never found elsewhere. For example: the hotelbar stays open al long as the guests want. In dutch we say: "gezellig" .

Location near the train station and next to the canal was delightful. No front desk. No staff available significant portions of the time. We were given a room that was not made up and had to be moved when we arrived.

The staff couldnt have been more friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I liked the quirkiness of the hotel. I think it says a lot when people from other places used the bar of an evening as "their local" because it was friendly. It is in a great location for all shops, amenities and places of interest. It is great for watching the bridge opening and the boats going by. Something I am sure children will like. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were continually replenishing food. Tables were cleared and reset straight away so it didnt look messy at all. I will saty there again with pleasure and reccommend the hotel to others.

Die super Lage, das sehr nette und zuvorkommende Personal und vor allen Dingen der sprechende Vogel!!!! Das Bad ist sehr klein und im Zimmer 306 fehlt ein Spiegel im Schlafzimmer. Beim Frühstück wäre es toll, wenn es auch Tomaten, Gurken und vielleicht etwas Obstsalat geben würde.

de ligging, vlak bij het centrum compleet verouderde piepkleine kamer, geurtje in de gang door het versleten vast tapijt, het bed was 1.40m, je kan amper rond het bed...dikke pech gehad (laatste kamer), of te mijden hotel!

Ligging van hotel prima, met station in de buurt, gezellige boten die voorbij varen. Keurig, schoon. Prettig/vriendelijk personeel. Gastvrij, gezellig. Goed ontbijtbuffet, zeer uitgebreid. Al met al een prima en uitstekend verblijf in Middelburg, vlakbij goede uitvalswegen naar andere plaatsen en omgeving. N.a.v. boven tekst hebben wij in geen geval een tegenvaller gehad

Personeel erg vriendelijk, goed ontbijt gezellig aangekleed. De bar was ook gezellig ingericht, fijne stoelen. Ik vond de kamers erg klein. De twee persoons- bedden konden niet uit elkaar, bad gebeuren erg krap. We sliepen op de tweede verdieping op de gangen kon je moeilijk de opstapjes waar nemen, lift erg krap.

Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het ontbijtbuffet is prima verzorgd en uitgebreid. Mijn kamer en badkamer waren erg klein. Het hotel en de tuin lijken op de foto's veel groter dan het in werkelijkheid is

De sfeer was gemoedelijk en het personeel was heel attent/hulpvaardig Zoals in zoveel hotels, lag de WiFi internetverbinding gedurende een dag plat en konden we niet mailen en informatie zoeken op internet. Jammer als je op zoek bent naar restaurants en je hebt geen idee wat op loopafstand beschikbaar is, of als je een adres zoekt.
