The hotel is in the middle of the Town.A perfect stay to explore Leiden by foot. There are no parkingplaces nearby and the interior is a bit oldfashioned but clean. |

The room size was correct for this category of hotel and the decoration in good order. The hotel is centrally located in the pretty town centre with plenty of restaurants and bars a short stroll away. There are good train connections to Amsterdam and the Amsterdam RAI exhibition centre from Leiden Centraal station. The breakfast was below average: no fresh bread or bread rolls, only pre-packaged slices of industrial bread and toast with a limited choice of sliced cheese and ham and pre-packaged jams and cereals. |

Friendly staff, convenient location, decent-sized room for a single (effectively a double for single occupancy), breakfast included in the price. Perhaps a little pricey, but then nowhere in Leiden seems to be cheap to stay these days ... |

The Hotel offers an excellent city centre and canalside location with comfortable rooms decorated in an eclectic range of styles. Service from the hotel staff was especially helpful. |

Staff always very firendly and helpful. Also, I like the fact that the rooms are quite individual. |

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel occupies a series of old canal houses which means that each room is different and which makes the hotel a lot more interesting than more 'cookie cutter' like places. Rooms are simply and comfortably outfitted. Breakfast is excellent including the coffee: THANKS! The stairs are steep and numerous -- not it itself a bad thing as it somewhat adds to the charm. However, travelers with disabilities or with heavy luggage should communicate that to the staff in advance (I don't actually know if there are ground floor rooms). |

We thought the town of Leiden very attractive and the hotel was central, near to restaurants etc. Considering the cost of the room we thought it was rather cramped with a tiny wardrobe. Tea making facilities would have been welcome. |

quiet, very gentle staff and easy environment. very "dutch" style. very nice location and convenient shuttle service to car park. lack of elevator. it might be hard for an aged person. but it's just a two floor building. |

The room was very imaginative, and I was impressed with cleanliness and decor of the many hallsways. We did not know that the hotel had no elevators. If we had known, we would not have booked a room. It was very difficult dragging luggage up four flights of narror stairs. There was no one to help carry the luggage up. |

Leiden is a hidden gem of a city to visit, and the hotel is centrally located and within easy walking distance of all attractions and some great restaurants. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. (Leiden is a great location from which to visit Keukenhof and the bulb fields) The hotel is located near to a students union building which can make it noisy on the streets at night - ask for one of the quieter canal front rooms. |

The position was very good as a base to explore the city. The decoration was very dull and could have done with being much brighter and the toilet with its German style shelf was quite disgusting and smelly. |

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The location is excellent. The value for the money very disappointing. We considered moving after 1 night, but decided not to. We paid 116 euros per night and our room looked like it was decorated in the 1970's and not updated since then. The bedspread felt old and dirty and bed squeaked. All of the rooms are completely different, so I am sure there is no way to tell if you are going to get a good room or not. |
