Nova Hotel  

Okay hotel for a short trip. For 155 euros a night (including breakfast & taxes) it wasn't a cheap one, but all decent hotels in central Amsterdam seemed to be expensive. Room was quit and bathroom was refurbished. This is a non-smoking hotel which is a plus, but carpeted floors in rooms definitely a minus. Location is very good.

Carpeted floors, rooms in need of refurbishing, but bathrooms were new.

There is no air-conditioning system in the room.

Great sized room. Excellent location. The most comfortable bed I slept in my entire European trip. Loved the modern bathroom and fridge.

Few amenities (no one to carry luggage, no checked luggage but rather a storage room open to anyone else storing luggage), however the desk staff was, without exception, excellent--helpful, friendly. Rooms were contemporary design but low-end, and carpet very tired.

Noise--thin walls, ceiling, window opened into (unattractive) small courtyard and noise carried between rooms. Room seemed low end--old carpet.

It was a not expensive but that was of the queensday celebration

The lift....interesting but bit inconvinient

I stayed with friends in a quad room, it was clean, nice comfy beds and modern clean bathroom. I would definitely stay here again. Location was excellent just 5 minute walk from dam square. Breakfast was nice. Overall we found this hot good value for money.

My only complaint would be that our hotel room was front facing on a main street, the windows were not double glazed so can hear quite a lot of outside noise.

I was waiting for the opportunity to say my sincere words of gratefulness to the whole staff of this lovely hotel. Thanks to everybody for those nice days and nights I spent there. In addition to the best location of Nova hotel, its interior and very reasonable prices make it so attractive for tourists like me! My room was comfortable and nice, fully providing the rest after a long intensive day. Я безмерно рада тому, что обнаружила этот отель на сайте. Великолепное расположение, в пошаговой доступности от всех достопримечательностей (а для ленивых - остановка в нескольких метрах), уютная комната с просторной душевой кабиной, чистота, приветливый персонал, нормальные завтраки и абсолютно нормальные цены - я надеюсь, всё это останется таким же надолго.

Excellent sized rooms with very comfortable bed. Excellent central location with good transport links. Good variety in the buffet breakfast. Very nice restaurants and cafes in the next street. Helpful staff on reception. A very safe hotel with a clear and enforced no smoking policy. Excellent free WiFi in rooms and computers and printers in reception

This is an observation not a complaint. It may be difficult for families with children and older guests to manage with so many stairs inside the hotel and especially the entrance. Only having one person on reception and no portering staff can be a problem.There was a family with 3 small children checking in. The father was dealing with the one staff on reception leaving the mother to carry 4 suitcases, a pushchair, a baby and 2 children in. I helped her but the receptionist should have noticed her and called for another member of staff to help.

Very central location .Breakfast was good and room clean.

Very good location. The room is clean, nice, quiet and well decorated. I liked shower. Wifi is good and free everywhere. I appreciated the breakfast, good and well provided. I recommand this hotel for your next city trip in Amsterdam.

A good location close to Dam Square and within a 10 - 15 minute walk of Centraal station. Very clean and a large room for our family of 4. Simple but very adequate breakfast that consisted of cereals, toast / breads & spreads / bacon & eggs and cold meats / cheese and a selection of drinks.

Our room overlooked the main road at the front (which was a roadway and walk / bikeway). It was a little noisy during the night but it was also nice to have the view and do some people watching.
