Nova Hotel  

Great location, easy walk or tram ride from train station. Nice room with plenty of space for three. Staff was very helpful. Could drop off baggage early, well before check in time. We will definitely return on our next trip to Amsterdam.

Location was perfect, very central. Also it was very quiet which was very welcome.. to get away from the noise of the city. Breakfast was very good also.

Room was not as big as the pictures shown, but was still very comfortable.

The location is truly incredible, it's right next to Dam square, yet the place is very quiet. The staff are very nice and friendly and helpful, too. I stayed for three weeks and they offered me a pretty good discount. My room was on the ground floor so I didn't have to use the stairs or the elevator, and it was so quiet that sometimes I felt I had no neighbors at all, even though the hotel was full. The wi-fi was functioning quite well, my smartphone never lost connection.

The hotel is very basic - room, facilities, everything. My main complaint was about breakfast, it was exactly the same all the three weeks that I stayed there. At first I paid for one week and by the end of it I was ready to go searching for a different hotel, but they offered me a good discount so I stayed two more weeks. So I had bacon&eggs 21 days in a row, which is no problem for me, but still some diversity would be appreciated. Sometimes I would skip breakfast and take a 3 min walk to "Broodje Bert" on Singel, they make great warm sandwiches. The bathroom in my room was very cold, for me that was a problem. Also, I'm sure that at least one bed sheet was never changed in all the three weeks that I was there - upon arrival I noticed an old spot on it and would check on it from time to time, and it was always there. Generally, the place is not that bad if you want the most central location for a relatively low price. You get what you pay for.

The Nova Hotel is in a great location in Amsterdam. You are just a block away from the Dam Square and the Royal Palace. You are within walking distance of the Central Station and all the tourist attractions.

Very friendly and helpful Reception Staff. Breakfast Very good and Rooms spacious.Excellent location for a City Break.

Nice tiny room, very friendly staff, perfect location and rich and tasty breakfast included in the price.

Low noise isolation of the room (however this is a problem of all hotels in Amsterdam). Carpet on the floor seemed to be a bit dirty.

The hotel is nice and located near to DAM square. only 5 min walk to DAM sqaure. There was a bad smell near the hall , but the room is quite good and spacious. The Breakfast is toooooooooooo good and excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. If i am visting again would like to stay there.

Location was awesome. 5 minutes to city center. Staff was very nice and friendly. There were 3 computers that we could use to surf the net and also a printer in case you need to print. Breakfast was good as well. The room has a fridge which I usually like in a hotel. In short I am really satisfied.

Everything about Nova Hotel was very good, stayed 2 nights and if I ever go back to Amsterdam I would like to stay there again! Staff was very nice, very good location and breakfast was very nice too!

location and the value for money. we both really enjoyed our stay. we were allowed to check in early and lock away our belongings on the day of departure. we found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful.

we had 2 single beds pushed togther rather than a double bed. only concern we had regarding the hotel.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a tripple room and it was very spacious and comfortable on the 4th floor. The lift was good. Security of the rooms, hotel front door and the management of the room keys were good. The room has also a safe for your valuables free of charge. The WiFi was working good and also free. Breakfast was full of variety and in my opinion was not missing anything. They changed the towels everyday and cleaned the room daily.

They didn't change the sheets at all in the 6 days we stayed. I would expect the sheets to be changed after 3 days. They didn't vacuum the rooms often enough but it was ok. I wish they had a small ramp by the entrance door for luggage, but thats getting picky. Overall no complaints.
