Efficient staff, all spoke English well, polite, helpful. Clean room ,hotel well designed, Gymnasium and Sauna above average.

We thought that the measures served in the bar were probably a bit under-generous!

The staff at the Novotel Amsterdam City were amazingly friendly. They always were helpful and even if they were being asked a question they had heard a thousand times before they were patient and answered the question with a smile. The self-service breakfast was great as there was so much choice, even better were the chefs who would cook you anything you asked for (within reason). It made for a great start to the day. We thought the hotel was miles from anywhere, but once we discovered (with the help from the staff), the excellent tram and Metro system we were able to travel around Amsterdam really well and with ease. A little tip, if you like views, get a higher floored room.

We can't think of anything, we were just saying we would love to live in that hotel in Amsterdam for at least a year.

Good alternative to hotel in the city center with Metro and tram 4 at the foot of the hotel. Hotel staff is professional and rooms are clean. Good snack in the hotel lobby.

Rooms are small for a Novotel. Only one chair, the targettedclients are clearly business travelers and not tourists.

* Very Corporate feel (Don't expect a friendly welcome unless you're wearing a suit). * Breakfast horrendously expensive unless included in room rate but be careful as staff will tell you it's included even if it isn't and will charge you 30 euros pp. * This is not a City Centre hotel, will take you 30 mins on tram each way. * No local amenities other than tram stop and other hotels. * New build hotel, once inside could be anywhere in the world. * Upon arrival are made to sign a disclaimer about recreational drug use - if found they will charge you 150 euros per incident. * Staff weren't at all helpful. If you want to experience the real Amsterdam, don't stay here!

The best service, near the metro station, free wifi, best view and etc.

The breakbrest is not included in the price, so it's a little expensive.

The room was run down. Blanket dirty.

The breakfast fee of 45 euros for two people was not worth it's money. Unboiled boiled eggs, toaster set at specific roasting intensity, no vegetarian hot food option made it a bad breakfast choice. I didn't want to pay their fee for cereals and fruits but hoped for a good vegetarian hot breakfast option. The rest was really good. Although the fee of 160 euros inclusive of tourist tax is high, Amsterdam rates are high in spring anyway.

Novotel City Amsterdam is 15 min walking distance from the rai Congress Center, and at 6 minutes from the railway station, that connects within 10 minutes to Schiphol Airport.

Modern hotel with all mod cons, swift polite check in, good breakfast and close to tram stop. Approx 30 mins from Amsterdam central station on tram 4. Ice machines on landings is a nice touch.

Pricey on drinks.
