Novotel Maastricht    

The hotel has excellent and very friendly staff couple with lovely modern rooms and public areas.

The staff were good fun and keen to help always a plus.

You did not have any Brandy, that spoilt one of our parties evening ;)

toilet separated from bathroom without shuttle bus, then going to city center takes some small effort.

Excellent modern Hotel about 3KM outside the city center; taxis from the Maastrict Rail station run about 13 Euros. If you are flying into Maastrict- Aachen airport jump the 59 bus (across from terminal) to the rail station for 5 Euro and save on a big taxi bill. The Novotel had a complimentary shuttle that will drop you into the town centre or rail hub. Hotel has an outdoor pool for the warmer months ; and a children's playground which is very nice. Rooms are modern and clean. Overall a good experience in a quaint old City ..

Location is a little outside the center but not a big problem , with the free shuttle .

When leaving hotel were landed with a 'City tax' that nobody informed us about 15.oo eu + thought this a bit strange for visitors!!!! Otherwise great weekend !

excellent breakfast, in different forms. Buffet, takeaway and breakfast in the bed. I tried all 3. Value for money. Children stay free with up to 2 extra beds.

The carpet in the room is not new, but in general everything is ok. Bathroom is very nice. Breakfast is good.

Public areas were light and airy. Separate toilet to the bathroom superb! Great the hotel has a shuttle bus service to the centre of Maastricht as it is not in the centre, great location off motorway and parking at hotel ample. The reception staff were great, knowledgeable, friendly, professional and helpful.

The bedroom carpets need a spruce up either a good clean or replacing, the room however was cleaned to a high standard.

It's a very modern and spacious hotel, nice facilities, and very helpful staff. If you are in the restaurant they have a small "playing area" so the kids can play, so they don't get bored waiting for the food. It was a nice idea.

The breakfast was normal, good standard, but is not worth 18,50€ per person for sure. We were traveling with a 6 yrs. old child, and we had to assemble the sofa-bed ourselves. I guess for this kind of hotel, everything should be ready for us.

we were satisfied with the hotel (free parking & internet, nice bath although separated from the toilet, big cozy bed, nice lighting, medium sized room, quiet area, friendly staff, breakfast had enough options but got tired of it after a week.

The main downside it that it's far from the center (about 30 minutes walk) and we had an unpleasant experience at checkout which took about 1h30 to deliver the invoices for 3 people. The reason is that the booking price was higher than should be and they wanted to give the lower price which is admirable but still... way too much. We were in a hurry to catch a plain at that point not to wait for some papers. Also a minor thing, the Playstation and Xbox controllers for second players were not working on any devices so it was a bit a turnoff.

Comfortable rooms and beds, free parking and WiFi. We were also very pleased with the hotel restaurant. We had a nice dinner with prices comparable to other restaurants of the same quality.

Everything was very easy- the staff incredibly polite and helpful. There was also a free taxi to the MECC and the station. Many people used the pool. The outside patio was relaxing for reading etc and the food was very good and reasonably priced. The waiters remembered what I liked to eat as well! The room was spacious. The hotel was quiet. I really enjoyed my stay.

Staff friendliness

We had dinner in the restaurant. The food was quite good but we had to wait 50min before we eat after we placed the ordered.

Nothing was too much trouble.

We notified the hotel we were both disabled, no special services or rooms were made available? What is it about rooms for two people and only one chair provided? The walk from car to room was at least 250 meters?via a lift. This hotel obviously did not understand the nature of being disabled. OR the pain involved to walk so far.

A good efficient hotel. Free parking and a shuttle service to the city centre makes it an good option. Restaurant is good but a bit pricey. probably built in the 70's it is showing its age a little. The price offer was a bargain.

They promised to let us use their kitchen for preparing baby food but eventually they could not provide us this facilities.

Price of Breakfast is way to high, need other options. I would not stay there again for too high price for this breakfast
