Novotel Rotterdam Brainpark    

Close enough to highway so we coud drive easily from the hotel to visit the countryside.

The hotel was a little worn, I've seen far better Novotel hotel rooms than the one we had. Breakfast was not as glamorous as described by other visitors.

Fantastic hotel with reasonable price. Good location with only 7 minutes of walk from the nearest train station. Free parking.

The service of the receiption is very excellent.

This was our 3rd stay in thd Novotel and we have noted a slippage in standards. There was a line of dirt and hair along the edge of the floor in the bathroom. The breakfast, at €19 per person, was rubbish! The sausages were small and hard and tasted like cardboard; the bacon was cold, hard and difficult to cut; the scrambled eggs were cold; one of the breakfast rolls was stale, hard and uneatable. Given, a 4 star hotel and the cost of breakfast, one would have expected that they would have a Chef on duty to prepare, at least, some fresh ham and eggs. We will not return to the Novotel, Rotterdam.

Didn't like it at all

- No minibar - to get something you need to go to the reception - everything is old - they block EUR 100 on your card till the check-out without notifying. Not mentioning that they charged me twice by mistake So far my worst hotel experience.

Not enough ventilation in the room, poor information about services and prices. 1) For example there were no information that the breakfast is finished at 9-30 on working days, 2) There was also a surprise that cable Internet is 6 EUR per day and I was invoiced for 30 EUR extra after 5 days stay. There should be a short information brochure as it is usually done in such hotels.

House keeping as every day something was not done correct. We always had to ask for a change of bed sheets although the reception claimed that the general policy is 'every other day'. The babycot wasn't changed for 6 days until we made a serious complaint, the room wasn't vacumed for days.

I like its location near Erasmus University. If one needs to get to the City Center it is possibly to take a tram. It will not take a lot of time. Perhaps, 10 min

Everything was very comfortable, convenient to reach the place of our business event. Staff very friendly. Rooms so spacious! Comfy beds, pillows, TV screen that could be rotated easily...bathroom amenities had all necessary except moisturizer... We ordered food from the room service, and were completely satisfied by the speed of delivery, quality, portion size... Everything was to our high satisfaction... Well done!

Reception staff ddi not tell us breakfast was an hour earlier in the week to the weekend service... We missed breakfast ... the very friendly morning bar tender fetched us what he could which was very kind of him. However, we chose this hotel because breakfast was included.

Clean rooms, good lighting, comfortable room, perfect breakfast! Truly international hotel, all the staff perfectly Engllish speaking. A wide range of variety in breakfast, of cheese and everything. A definitely pleasurable stay. Close to Brainpark, easily accessible with bike or walk.

Had to walk around 10 min to the nearest tram or metro station.
