The pool and fitness center was great and my kids loved the buffet breakfast.
The concierge could have been better with organizing dinner reservations but once we complained, they improved.
Great welcome from personell and everything was set to meet high expectations. Family suite very confortable and tailored to family expectations. Excellent breakfast with standard proposal but with high qualitx ingredients (not-treated honey, juices,..)
Position little a bit far from downtown but everything done by a good walk.
The fact it has two Michelin restaurants is almost unheard of in a hotel The room was great, view was amazing and got an upgrade for free!
Slightly out of town but its nice to be away from the hustle and bustle
Booking and Paying for a Executive Suit and finding a blocked sink in the bathroom and a Coffee Machine which only made strange noises..! [ no coffee ] very disappointing for a so called ''FIVE STAR''????? Hotel..!!!!! Management need to sharpen their act up before making such claims..!
Great Staff and great service
Breakfast was buffet service and definitely not 5 star - felt like a competition amongst guests to get a breakfast. Hot food was cold. Coffee was tepid. Paid full price for 2 rooms for 2 nights. Visited the pool and was asked to pay a further €15.50 per person. Serre restaurant staff surly. Michelin - starred restaurant was closed during my stay - without any warning. Definitely not a 5-star experience.
I am coming since 12 years to eat At the Yamazato and Sazanka Restaurant and they are always Getting better and better
There was a la carte japanese reataurant Jamazato. Me and my partner had special menu for christmas dinner ( each 90.00€), but the raw fish made me feel sick and ill, so I left with my partner. We even havent got our mains, but restaurant charged us all price which was 189€. I was very unhappy with this.
Innovative & elegant design, quality service & noble atmosphere
Coffee machine in the room
Check out hotel restaurants.
quality of breakfast, views from the room.
staff in the main restaurant and the spa, some of them not polite or helpfull. superior rooms and bathroms quite basic, lack of any comfort, cold water in the pool, bad location, far from the centre.
restaurants safety friendly staff english speaking staff
Great attention to detail. Sophisticated taste. Very nice furniture. Great restaurants. Would have preferred it if the bar opened for longer hours!
Everything is spot on in Okura. The spa, the Michelin star restaurants, the views from being one of the few tall buildings in Amsterdam, the service, the breakfast... It's great. The Pijp neighbourhood is not exactly in the centre of the city, but it's a great area to explore.
The building itself is of course quite modern so it lacks the atmosphere of the old Amsterdam hotels. The executive lounge atmosphere and snack options were quite poor.
superior room very comfortable 10 minutes walk from RAI exhibition center
WIFI is complimentary only at a slow rate. high speed wifi should be free and available everywhere.
Extremely helpful staff. Interior appearance sophisticated and refreshing compared to many run of the mill hotels. Very nice view from our room on 10th floor. Location near to RAI was good for us as we were going to METS exhibition there.
Cost of breakfast. We ate breakfast out at the various excellent cafe's nearby because of this. The air conditioning seemed to make the air rather dry and it did not feel as if this would be healthy if we had stayed much more than the 2 nights we were there.
The Restaurants including the extremely friendly and competent room service is the best in Amsterdam
House keeping is not quite up to the Hotels high standards
The staff really do go the extra mile and make the difference
Slightly tired decor. A minor complaint but it does feel like it could benefit from a little modernisation in its decor
Clean and good for relaxation
Shame it's right out of town with nothing going on but other than location its a brilliant hotel
Staff are always very pleasant, great location and hotel is very clean. Concierge will arrange a shuttle bus service back to Schiphol for €17 when you are heading home. If you are lucky enough to get a room upgrade the bath the bathroom is lovely.
Having to pay to use the gym facilities is not really acceptable. Bar costs are high.
Nice corner room.
Bar didn't stay open late enough. Breakfast started to late.
