A really indulgent experience, great views over the city. Didn't try any of the restaurants but there are several close by Its further from the city centre than I first realised, although its easily accessible by tram from the centre it might mean an expensive taxi back if you missed the last tram

lovely room, very clean and comfortable,excellent staff Too far out of centre of Amsterdam. Noisy farm below even though we were 10 floors up. Expensive superior room and still had to pay 30 euro to use the swimming pool

Excellent hotel, with a gorgeous atmosphere. The only drawback is that it is fairly far from the city center by foot. We would happily stay here again.

The location is fairly convenient with an easy access to the city centre. There's lots of good restaurants nearby. Definitely not a 5 star experience. Hotel was quite expensive (even for a 5 star) and the service did not reflect the standard one would expect. The hotel staff forgot to clean our room and even after reminding them they failed to do so - shocking. Breakfast was ok, selection-wise, but hotel staff had to be reminded to serve coffee... Although we have pre- paid for internet for the duration of stay - they still have charged us for 1 day extra - hopeless, couldn't be even bothered to claim it back. There's a Michelin Japanese restaurant in the hotel - fantastic service, but definitely overpriced and not worth it. Very bitter after-taste. I would never return there and would not recommend to anyone.

Nice and quiet location and short distance to tram stop. Disappointed that breakfast was not included in the price as our accommocation was expensive and would have expected breakfast to be included. Also bar food not available. Had been expecting a larger bedroom for the price and also did not like the view out on to the city

Excellent rooms and beautiful surroundings. I still don't understand why free wifi isn't commn-place in five star hotels. Also, I think there are often communication glitches between staff. Even though we booked interconnecting rooms months ago, these were not available upon check-in. A complimentary upgrade was appreciated though.

The hotel was superb and clearly worked on attention to detail. Everything was first class. Whenever I return to amsterdam I would automatically book this hotel. There are many restaurants nearby catering for all tastes. 15 minute tram ride to dam square. 20 minute walk to museum quarter. Supermarket across road. This was for my birthday and hotel gave me free upgrade to junior suite, card and drink. Champagne bar on 23rd floor must not be missed thank you!!!!! The restaurants, although looked very good, were quite expensive. Therefore we visited nearby restaurants which were very good.

High class, haut cuisine Unexpected necessity to pay guaranty deposit about 100€ per day, return of unused sum in 5 days ( but it didn't still return).

The staff were friendly and helpful, apart from when we arrived (see below). The bathroom in our bedroom was extremely nice, but the rest of the bedroom could only be considered average. Didnt quite live up to it's star rating. When i arrived in the car, no staff to assist in unloading car and collect baggage. All restaurants and bars in hotel were very expensive, but that was to be expected. Work was being carried out on level 3 (spa level), which made getting to the spa extremely difficult, as there were 4 lifts, only 2 of which went to level 3. It was luck whether you got the right lift, otherwise you would have to send them away and try and get one that worked. Rooms were supposed to be soundproof, but the sound of drilling due to the work was still too loud.

The restaurants were fantastic The hotel is undergoing extensive renovation,so there was some noise in the morning. When we moved to a different room it was much better.the management did go out of their way to apologise for the inconvenience

As we are Japanese, we know well about the Hotel Okura. Service and facilities are the best quality in the world, hotel staffs are not something like polite on the surface but actually contemptuous, they are really well mannered, professionally trained. We found some comments that it was located a few tens of minutes away by tram from the Amsterdam Central Station. The tram 25 (runs every 15 minutes) took us about 15 minutes actually, tolerable enough. Hotel can arrange a taxi to Schiphol Airport at 33 euro and it takes just 15 minutes. I recommend to use the taxi to come and go between the airport and hotel.
