Very helpful and friendly reception staff

The hotel does not make it clear that a car park is situated quite some distance away, so you have to carry your luggage to the hotel, which is a bother.

The location was fabulous and was located right on the harbor. There is no parking located at the hotel but there is a public lot close by. it was a short 5 min walk away and we had no issues finding a spot. The hotel was nice and our room large, comfortable and clean. Downstairs is a nice restaurant. Please note tat the front tables/outside have a different menu than the rest of the restaurant. We enjoyed the more casual front menu. The Dutch Onion Soup is fabulous! Breakfast is served between 8-10 and is a good variety of breads, meats, cheeses, and scrambled eggs. We stayed for two nights. Please note that the town stores do close around 6 pm. Some restaurants stay open however there aren't too many. We ended up eating at the hotel twice because the second night we couldn't find a place still serving food at 7:30. There is a very convenient bus that goes to central Amsterdam. The bus stop is a short walk away and is €7.50 one way. It's about a 25 min bus ride. The negative is that the last bus back to volendam is at 6 pm. We were hoping to catch dinner in the city before coming back but had to catch that bus. We were disappointed to arrive back in volendam with everything closing.

Our room had a harbor view which was great until Saturday night. I mention places close early but it appears plenty of people hang outside drinking very late. It was very loud outside our window. And this was in 40 degree weather in April. I'm sure it only gets worse in the summer when you also have your windows open. A room without a view may be a quieter choice. We didn't have hot water for a shower on Sunday. The hotel is also a restaurant so it can be difficult to find staff if you have questions during non restaurant hours.

Really lovely place with nice facilities, I highly recommend this hotel for everyone who visit volendam.

Charming place in front of the harbour. Nice and helpful personal and beautiful vast room. The restaurant was very good too.

I loved the location mostly as it affects my training ground..proximity to Edam was awesome.

I didnt like the TV channels, they were wonderful channels but mostly in dutch which i speak so little.

After reading some of the negative reviews I wondered if I had made a mistake booking at this hotel . How wrong I was . On arrival I was able to park right outside the front door . The staff were very welcoming friendly and helpful . The room itself was clean , spacious and comfortable with a view of the harbour from the window . I was also able to make use of the free wifi . The breakfast had a good variety and I also ate at the restaurant where the food was excellent .

Really friendly staff, the girl at the reception came by bike to pick me up at 9pm because I couldn't find where to park my car. Very polite people and nice room.

No acces by car. It was impossible for me to find the park! After a certain hour the hotel is "isolated" and you have to leave the car 10 minutes far from the hotel. More info in the hotel web-site about the way to reach the park/hotel would be welcome!

Large clean room with excellent views of the harbour. WiFi fast, free and efficient. Food was excellent, although relatively expensive. Lovely to have breakfast outside overlooking the harbour in the sunshine. Parking some distance away but secure bike storage (including motorbikes) on the premises.

Did not say that loud street music world prevent sleep time until 2 a. m., just warning that there would be day noise.

Large room with a beautiful view of the harbour. Comfortable beds. Great food in the restaurant.

Access is limited as cars are banned form 11am to 11pm. As I had a disabled person with me it was not easy. Information could have been given at the time of booking. Electric sockets in room were not near a mirror which is not always convenient for female clients.

The hotel is in a fantastic position, directly on the sea close to some restaurants

We couldn't pay by credit card because the machine didn't work; the hotel has a restaurant but too expensive for us...and it closed at 8:30 pm

Walls like sheets of paper... We could hear everything from the other rooms like if they were in our.. Disturbing especially in the night and the early morning...

It was quite ok but wifi connection finally was only in the entrance hall because the signal was quite weak.

This hotel was perfect! It had a picturesque view of the port from the bedroom window. The hotel was elegant, clean, quiet and comfortable. The bus to Amsterdam's centarl station came every 15 minutes and the bus stop was a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The bus only took 30min.

The Hotel Old Dutch is in a fabulous location. It is right on the harbor with shops and restaurants all around. The hotel bar and restaurant are lovely and the breakfast room is very nice. The breakfast selection was very good and the coffee and orange juice were delicious. The rooms are nicely furnished and the beds were very comfortable. There was a fire alarm pulled at 3:00 A.M. in the morning, but no fire or emergency, thank goodness. There was a bit of noise from the street, but overall the hotel is lovely and the staff

Wonderful position over the port.

I had a very good room but in the attic and I could not see the outdoor.

keine Kästen im Zimmer, Balkon wäre für die Abendsonne schön gewesen, Parkmöglichkeit ca. 200 m von Hotel entfernt, zur Hauptsaison möglicherweise ein Problem

parking trop éloigné, plus de 5minutes à pied, le menu n'est pas en francais,communication difficile

Heel vriendelijk personeel.Wij zijn beiden invalide en kregen spontaan hulp met de bagage vanop het parkeerterein tot in de kamer E.O. Een eerlijke keuken met verse producten.EEN Aanrader !!!
