Perfect location, right in the centre of everything
Bad experience: I lost my Ipad. But fortunately, they kept it safe. Well done
Of course its location. For me, it isn't noisy, just simply close the window, done.
very low quality facilities, not renovated in a long time
location, location, location
-The room and the bathroom are not that cleen , they were okay. -The rooms are too tight -the entrance for the rooms are different than the entrance of the hotel and the reception (Bar).
-It's very close to the Amsterdam Centraal station and to many attractions. -Good internet connection -Nice staff
The hotel is very close to Amsterdam Centraal which is very convenient. The rooms are cleaned everyday and quality shower gel was provided in the bathroom. The staff were very friendly. I would strongly recommend this place, especially for a group of friends.
There was no supermarket store near by to get foods or drinks at good price. This is not the Old Nickel's fault.
Staffs were so friendly. You can enjoy fine cold local beer at the ground floor just before going to bed.
not too much clean
Having to go home
Staff were great
Cocaine on the bedroom window when we came in
This hotel is clean and just great value for money. You can expect fancy hotel standards but it's a great place to sleep, get washed and enjoy down time with your partner . Would stay again
Check in time is to late most people get to amsterdam early in the morning and check in isn't until 14.00
I liked the keycard at night easy to get into the hotel
located on a bar, it gets very very noisy with all the bar music untill 2am. The room looks kinda creepy, the shower is not very good too.
Good locatiin, right next to thr centraal station. The bed is soft.
You wouldn't take your partner here but it's great for a lads weekend.
Central to the city centre.
Not the kind of hotel you would take the partner to but perfect for a lads weekend.
Best location for a stay that's central to the city.
Nothing, everything was great ...
Great location, friendly & helpful location
Despite the clean rooms, space was inadequate and apart from the beds, the only other resource was a broken television. Hotel needs a makeover and would be more than happy to pay the extra £5/night to live in post-1960 accommodation. The steep stairs weren't an issue to me in choosing hotel, but as a prior warning make sure you don't smoke/drink TOO much before taking them.
Hotel was perfectly situated in the centre of the action whilst very easy to find from the Amsterdam Centraal station. No problems with the WiFi provided from the hotel. Rooms were clean.
Nice staff. Great placed - close to Central Station, pubs, restaurant etc...
friendly staff, great location
Tiny & extremely noisy
Not so much a dislike as a heads up but the hotel is in a street with lots of bars and clubs. The night life continues until the not-so-early hours of the morning!
This is a nice, cheap hotel in a fabulous location a few minutes walk from the central station and the metro/underground. It's right in the centre of Amsterdam. Easy walking distance to The Dam, musea, Anne Frank etc
Bit noisy neighbours
room was a bit scummy but for this price i couldnt really argue
price and bar
It's terrinbly noisy! You can hear drunk serenades just under your window. The room is very small and simple. However, it's really clean. The breakfast was really bad, I would suggest a small café, called Dwaze Zaken, which is really close. Just a bit more expensive, but really stylish and the food is great.
If you are planning a trip to Amsterdam just to enjoy the carnal aspects of human existence, this hotel is perfect for you. It's incredibly close to the red light district, there are plenty of bars around. The location is perfect for that, and the central station is really close too.
It's noisy when you opt to go to bed before 2am. The street is full of people and a live band plays in the bar. When you come for rest find some other place or rest during the day.
It's right in the heart of the night life and a nice starting point for day trips
We were initially annoyed as we were charged more upon arrival than we were quoted on the site, despite being told that city tax etc was included in price quoted - no explanation offered. Just pay up! Also the beds were really really hard - very uncomfortable!
The room was lovely and very clean, the view was superb as was the location.
