Friendliness of the employees. Proximity to Central Station. The room especially bedsheet was clean which is very important for a good night rest. The single room I booked was smaller than the toilet in another room I stayed at another chain hotel, which probably cost about 15% cheaper. Not appropriate if you are staying for more than one night. |

The few problems that arose during our stay was handled very swiftly by the staff. The staff is not overly friendly, and though we ordered a twin room, we got a double bed. This was however dealt with swiftly, but still a little irritating. |

Mostly the location, the cosiness of the hotel, I liked the breakfast, more or less, though it could have not been a fixed menu breakfast, but one with more choice. I definitely did not like the check-in hour - not earlier than 12, there was also some misleading info about it as I read that one can check in still at 9 a.m., but it was a bit compensated, by the fact that there is a luggage room. |

the old quarter is a family run hotel and the staff are always friendly and helpful to their guests, the restaurant side of the hotel is very good and the meals are very good value and varied, the location is ideal being five minutes walk from the central rail station and three minutes walk from the main nightlife bars and coffeeshops. i have stayed here many times and everytime has been good |

The hotel was very cheap & in the centre of the red-light district. The room & the toilet & shower in the hall were all very clean. The shower was barely a dribble of water, & wiresless internet is npt available from the rooms, only from the restaurant in the lobby. |

The Hotel was great value for money, and centrally located in Amsterdam. Required us to pay upfront. In centre of red-light district. No safe, or phone in room. |

We had a deluxe room and it was right on the canal. We loved it. The room was clean and perfect for us. We will certainly return again. The staff is excellent, the food is good, Monday night jazz is fun. It's right across from Central Station and there's a lot going on. |

Good location Rooms could do with a revamp ------ starting to look shabby. I don't expect too much from cheap hotels in the Dam. |

Great location, Nice restaurant with 10% discount for guests. Clean rooms. If your room is near the restaurant it can be a little bit noisy. |

Bar open until 3am and live bands each night, the staff were very helpful Room very depressing, bed uncomfortable and not sure about it's cleanliness - fortunately all I did was go there to sleep, but would drive you mad staying in there for any period of time. |

The hotel is near to the central station, but this hotel is not for one who is looking peace and quiet, the bar and dishes were very good. The one bed room is quiet small. |

Location was excellent The rooms were absolutely tiny! The beds were'nt even proper beds and ancient! The linen was disgusting, the room hadn't been vacuumed. The bedside lamps looked like scrap metal and were missing diffusers. The toilet on our floor needed a lightbulb to be changed so we asked the lady on reception to change it then went out for 4 hours only to find that she had been 'too busy' to change it. That is not acceptible. For the money we paid we expected better. The photos on website were deceiving. |
