In 1931 Gertruda en Sjeng Bessems start Ons Krijtland. After a few years the three sons of Sjeng and Gertruda take over the business.
Nowadays the hotel is in the hands of the third generation.

Food & beverage

Besided the homemade Limburgse vlaaien you can also enjoy trout and asparagus.
Starting 8 o'clock in the morning, you are welcome to use our extensive breakfast buffet.
In our restaurant you can choose from our a la carte menu or a changing menu.

Guests staying in one of the apartments can make use of the breakfast and dinner facilities for a small extra fee.

Room information

The hotel has 28 double rooms and 4 single rooms. Recently 18 holiday apartments have been built. Besides the standard rooms, the hotel also offers nicely decorated "country rooms", all with balcony and a nice view.

The rooms offered on this website are all standard rooms. When you are interested in a "country room", please mention it in your booking. There is a supplement of EUR 15 per room per day.

Area information

The hilly landscape of Zuid-Limburg is unique in the Netherlands. Our Hotel Ons Krijtland is located along the 'Mergellandroute' (literally the "route of the marl land") and it is the perfect base for outings to Maastricht, Aachen or Liège.
The hotel offers diverse hiking trails. In the village of Epen you can also rent a bicycle or a maintainbike for beautiful cycling tours. It is also possible to visit gardens or the zoo, because the Mondo Verde and the enormous Gaia Park are only a 15 minute drive away from the hotel. For children there are also many attractions in the area.

Travel information

Travel / Location:
You can reach Epen by Public Transportation from the Central station in Maastricht or Heerlen (bus line 57). You can reach Epen by car from highway A2-A76 (Eindhoven-Heerlen-Aken). Follow direction Vaals (N281) from junction 'Bocholtz', then follow direction Maastricht on the N278. Follow this dirction until the exit Mechelen-Epen.

Parking:
The hotel has private parking, +/- 100 places.
