Women at front desk very helpful. One light bulb was burnt out and it was replaced by the time we returned from dinner. I would recommend hotel. Rooms are small but that is what was expect in an older building. Very central location but not too noisy.

Beautiful old house, very well located and close to most touristic sites, yet, the street is fairly quiet. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Room service leaves somewhat to be desired: came back to an unmade room one (out of three) evening and all staff had left. No liquor license. Bathroom was large but very dark.

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was confortable and the breakfast was good. However the cleanliness of the room was poor. The coffee cups were not properly washed, neither were the water glasses. The bathroom floor was dirty when I arrived and wasn`t cleaned during my stay. The sink wasn`t cleaned while I was there and the bin wasn`t emptied. It was a pity because the location is ideal.

Nice decor. Excellent buffet breakfast. Noise from street a big problem if in room on the front. We were disturbed by youngsters shouting on and off until the small hours. Very poor nights sleep. Would recommend ear plugs!

An excellently situated and very friendly, old-fashioned little hotel. Only two little gripes: Wifi didn't work in my first-floor room, I had to come downstairs. Also the lighting in the room and in the breakfast room was inadequate.

Relatively quiet, although close to the main road, town centre, and river trips. Hotel has a large amount of character and individuality probably due to being converted from a domestic property rather than being a purpose built hotel or part of a large chain. The room was on the third floor and there is no lift. These facts were not mentioned during the booking process. We are no longer young and spritely so the upward journey to the room was a bit daunting. I'm not sure whether knowing in advance would have deterred us from placing our booking but it is a possibility. The room and bathroom lighting was a bit dim - very restful but not practical for reading, makeup or shaving. Reasonable number of local tv channels but none from "abroad". Tv picture was poor and grainy.

The staff were very friendly and really helpful. The breakfast service, variety and quality of food were excellent, also the long opening times were very useful. The location, close to both the river and town centre, was just right. We are already planning a return visit! The only downside was poor lighting in the room and most especially in the bathroom which made getting ready to go out difficult. Some of this may be due to our room being in the roof area but stronger bulbs in the bathroom would have helped.
