Very friendly staff who gave excellent advise about what to do in Amsterdam, would recommend to family and friends and stay there again. Rooms were basic and small but for a city break when we were are out and about all day it didn't matter. |

Friendly and helpful staff, close to main city center and transport. Good value for money. Room was a decent size, clean, tidy and breakfast was really nice. Would have been nice to have had a mini bar, tea and coffee facilities within the room. Couldn't get safe to work. |

Breakfast ok; shower and TV good. The size of the single room was way too small. Furniture, bedding, and carpet looked old-fashioned and threadbare. Annoying having to leave key each time as no one was at reception to let me back in on one occasion and I had to wait some time to hand the key in another day. Very little noise insulation from room to room; woke up every time a door shut. |

Quiet, comfortable and friendly service within minutes walk of Amsterdams sights, sounds and everything that surrounds. We weren't leaving Amsterdam until late in the day and they were happy for us to keep our bags there and let us use the Internet after checking out. U had to leave key with reception everytime u left the hotel which I thought was a little strange but I guess it is Amsterdam and could be for good reason. |

We were so pleasantly surprised by the location, price, comfort, and outstandingly helpful and friendly reception by Peiter, the clerk on duty. I wish we had known about the Owl the week before when we stayed at an expensive, well known hotel, just two blocks away. The room was small, but very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was adeqequate, the garden area was quiet, and decor of the sitting room was "homey". Plus the location was close to beautiful Vondel Park, and the the major museums. Next time in Amsterdam we will stay here, and recommended it to our friends without hesitation. |

Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. Price is expensive for this level of facility. Breakfast is disappointed. Wall is thin and very noisy when other guests walk in the corridor. |

Hotel staff were welcoming even though I arrived very late at night. The 24 hour reception was a good thing for small hotel. The presence of a lift was great as my luggage was heavy. I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and good-sized en-suite facilities of a small single room. The breakfast choice was varied and delicious and the breakfast room had large picture windows overlooking a garden of mature trees and well-stocked flower beds. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. The location is superb with easy walking access to major attractions. |

A good location (quiet but still very close to the action) and very good breakfast. Helpful staff. Clean throughout. Rooms a fraction on the small side relative to the price. |
