Speed of check in/out and the friendliness/helpfullness of front desk staff We were in rooms 519/518 and had to get what seemed like a service lift to this part of the hotel...when using the main lifts we got totally lost |

The bed was amazing, as I had read. The view of the canal from my room was also very nice. Overall, it was a very nice room and very conveniently located. I felt pressured to pay for an upgrade in order to get into my room early, and the push to prepay for breakfast is also a little strange. The equivalent of $30USD for internet access is excessive. I felt like they get you in at a good rate, and then nickle and dime you. |

Noise levels from the street are quite high in the first floor rooms. This is the reason for my moderate comfort rating. |

Central location, close to museums, night life, etc. Very old elevator, not updated to actual security means... |

The Hotel has been completely refurbised and has a very vibrant modern feel to it. The parking under the hotel was full, parking nearby at the Byzantium garage is quite expensive, I paid over 50 Euro for less 16 hours. Unfortunately also there were no good alternatives to smoke (some hotels have a special facility) |

Central location, very good bar/restaurant, nice view Not as well maintained as this seems on pictures. Hallways are not too clean, windows do not open, but airco is there. Overpriced. Fair comfort and value, but not for the price they charge. |

The hotel gym was good You couldn't get into the restaurant and the open plan bathrooms were not appropriate or particularly well done. I would recomend the location but not at the price the rooms are. |

I loved the bed!! Both my husband and I thought that it was really amazing and so comfortable. Also the location was really good as well. I didnt like the fact that when we arrived at the breakfast on our first moring not all servings were available, although it was 10am (since the breakfast is served until 10.30, I belive all ingredients should be available until then). Otherwise the serving staff was really nice and accomodating. |

Great location! Close to major museums and a city center. Close access to the airoport bus. Contemporary interior design. Clean rooms. Rooms are not ready at check-in time (2 pm). Rooms are very small. The bathroom is extremely small, and its door opens right next to a bed. Water from the shower leaks to the room. |

when we asked to change rooms closere to our friends they obliged happily and even moved all our items to our new room.we got upgraded to the honeymoon suite and other suites so that was a lovely treat.i thought the fact that breakfast was not included was a negative point.the room cost 140euro for the night so i think even a continental breakfast would be justified. the second lift in the hotel is very run down.dirty and oldfashioned.the rest of the hotel was lovely |

Well, we were obliged to pay 100 euros as an extra so that we change our room for a better one... The original room that was offered to us was really bad in all means...I ended up in the same bed as my friend and with a small toilet inside the room next to the bed.. It was just awful.. Not to mention the rooms were in the attic were the lift of the hotel couldnt even reach... |

We liked the location which is close to evrything one would like to visit while in Amsterdam. The lobby was very inviting with its fireplace and books. The design was modern and clean. The staff recommended a better restaurant than the one in the guide for an evening meal and kindly made reservations for our friends and us. The fact that the room we were assigned meant that we had to use the service elevator! The internet service in the room was also very expensive at 19,50 euros per day. The shower was leaking all over the floor which meant using towels on the floor so as not to fall. The bed was very soft and uncomfortable. The room was also very small. |
