Park Hotel is 1700 ft from Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh museum, in the high-end Oud-Zuid district of Amsterdam. It features rooms with flat-screen TVs and on-site fitness facilities. The Park Hotel rooms are elegantly decorated and have a private bathroom that comes with free soap and shampoo products. The large windows give the rooms a light atmosphere and provide views of the Amsterdam scenery. The stylish MOMO Restaurant combines the flavors of the Far East with a Western style. Guests can enjoy coffee or tea with fresh pastries in the morning, and have a range of delicious dishes in the evening. Next to Park Hotel is the entrance to Amsterdam's beautiful Vondelpark. Guests can take fantastic canal walks right from the hotel along the Singel. Hotel Rooms: 189

The location was good, however the noise from the tram was a bit disturbing. Park hotel claims to be a luxury hotel in the heart of Amsterdam. However, their lack of quality service makes me consider it a 3 star hotel. First, the front desk staff is not helpful and has an attitude. Second, the hotel is pretty old and the rooms are very small, leaving no space for privacy even in the bathroom! Third, don't bother to use the "do not disturb" sign, as it is not respected. They will still come into your room. Finally, the most important issue is the room temperature- it was extremely cold. We traveled in December and we had to dress up with warm clothes before sleeping! This lack of comfort is unacceptable. I don't recommend this hotel to anybody. There are plenty other hotels around the area that are better.

Location was very good in terms of access to Leidesplein which is lively. Also excellent for access to and from the airport with bus 179 going straight past the hotel, taking approx 30 minutes and the city centre which is within 15 minutes walk. Staff were very good, courteous and professional. Hotel looks very stylish and relaxed. Only minor issues such as cleaning staff not re-stocking teas & coffees etc but reception staff were very pleased to help.

The Location. The smell in the room of sewerage or bad drains. The fact you had a piece of glass to devide you from the room and toilet. The fact that we could hear other rooms usings their toilet facilities. There was no bar to speak of.

It was convenient for the museums; in a safe area. Close to trams and park. Walkable to the centre. I had particularly asked for a quiet room on my booking form. We were given a lst-floor, street-side room which had constant noise from trams unti. 12.30 and from 6.30 a.m. each morning. We later found there were other, quieter rooms available and asked to move (but only for the last of four nights). This was a shame. The breakfast was overpriced at 30 Euros. Otherwise, fine.

Location and staff Exessive Plumbing noises in the room made it very difficult to sleep at night, we had very little sleep the first night. Very bad Odours coming from the shower cubicle. City Tax? Added to bill at end of stay, no mention of what this might incur during initial booking.

The best thing of this hotel is location - close to the museums and park! Staff was not very professional. The hotel intends to be a "boutique" hotel, but it has to improve a lot to get this title. Momo restaurant is expensive, and service is awful! Expensive for what it offers!

Room was as small as a postage stamp and poorly arranged. Showering causd immense buildup of steam and moisture throughout the entire bathrom. Buffet style breakfast was overpriced and marginal at that. "Dining" room had no style to it. Staff rarely greeted you as you came and went. Front door was often unattended. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

Good reception and quality of rooms. Helpful, informative and efficient. Given upgrade to Executive Suite in lower part of the hotel. Staff very polite. Would recommend staying at this hotel for anyone wanting the cultural side of the city. No bar facilities - only MOMOs which was over-priced.

Location and decor The beds and pillows are extremely soft that are impossible to sleep on this happened to all three of us. For bedding a hotel cannot go to any extreme and should follow a standard type/ comfort. It appears that the hotel is aware of this issue and they added wooden boards under the mattresses. Nonetheless, it's still uncomfortable.

We had a seminar at the hotel and the hotel provided good facilities and great snacks for us between lectures. Room very small. We only had hand luggage but there was just not enough space. The design of the toilet and shower make it feel like they are in the room not separate. Bed was extremely soft, more like an old water bed. When we asked if there were any bigger rooms the man at reception said , "not in your price range" and walked away!.

The room was a desent size, clean and well equiped. The double bed was very comfortable and soft. We only stayed one night but would have been happy to stay there longer. Some things did not work but this did not spoil out stay, had it bothered me I would have asked reception to deal with it. We did let reception know when we left.

Great location, very wel decorated nice hotel with very courteous staff. The gym was very good and open 24 hours. Very expensive hotel and the rooms are very small (although this is common place in Amsterdam). Almost all of the facilities in the hotel were very expensive - room service, breakfast, internet, telephone & mini bar. It is possible that this wouldn't deter more affluent guests but it put me off. Whilst I got a good deal on the overnight package - I found the services within the hotel very expensive and I wouldn't recommend the hotel to anyone on a budget of around €100 a day.
