Location is good, and the rooms nicely furnished and spacious. Rooms are dark and the carpets really unpleasantly dirty. The bathroom is very clean. But why is the shower head not properly fitted so the water sprays into the bath rather than down the wall and onto the floor? |

The hotel was conveniently situated, our room was ready early, the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about Hoorn, and it was within walking distance of everything we wanted to do. The breakfast was lovely, nicely presented, and very high quality foods and beverages. There was absolutely nothing about our stay here that we did not like: it was one of the highlights of our hotel experiences in Europe. |

Fair sized room, which was very clean and had additional bedding / pillows, if required. Hotel staff very helpful and spoke very good English. Hotel is ideally located for getting around Hoorn, the entrance is onto a pedestrian precinct and is about a ten minute walk to the centre of the town and about fifteen to the harbour. The Hotel has no car park, but there are ample within easy walking distance, and these are not overly expensive. The Japanese restaurant attached to the hotel is quite an experience and well worth a visit. Limited range for the continental breakfast. The stairs from the lobby to the first / second floors is quite steep and tricky to descend. |

Hoorn is a wonderful city and the hotel staff at Petit Nord was very friendly. The attached restaurants were very good as well. The location was ideal -very close to the train station and right on one of the main shopping streets of the city. The bathroom is very nice with Jack and Jill sinks and a large (for Europe) bathtub. The beds and rooms were a little problematic for someone with asthma. They seemed either a bit dusty or mildewy. If this hotel is planning on doing any work on their rooms in the future, I would highly recommend that they change the carpet to hardwoods or tile and replace the comforters. |
