Quiet location, clean and comfortable room. For the money I would have expected a nicer view. The room was somewhat souterrain... |

The close proximity to museums and the comfortable bed. I could not figure out how to turn on the shower so I took a bath. From the tub, I could not reach the soap dispenser. |

Good location, excellent decoration, staff very warm. Breakfast was good (but expensive). Computers with internet available in the lobby, which was very cozy. Small room, even it was enough for me but you might want to consider this detail if you stay longer than 2 days. Some comfort details absent such as, no extra pillow and no extra blanket. When I arrive I was not able to turn the heating on for 2 nights since the equipment was set up for air conditioner. Only the 3rd night it was possible. |

Excellent location for shopping, museums, and the adjacent park. Very helpful and congenial staff. Bathroom could be larger and have a shelf for toiletries. |

Very nice,well-mannered and always ready to help staff, very good quality/price correlation and maybe the best location for various tours and walks across the old city centre no matter wheather for shopping, sightseeing or smth else. There is always what to improve but this hotel is rahter good for everybody to visit it. |

Very clean hotel with nice fresh smell in the room. Staff very friendly and co-operative. Plenty of computers in lobby for free use. Breakfast was great and conveniently located to shopping street and all restaurants. The bathroom shower was too small and in spite of all modern facilities, they should have put a shower door rather than shower curtain as that is always annoying and tacky! |

Clean, modern design, recently refurbished. Well located for museums and shopping. Staff was not always the most friendly.... Internet did not work on the computers and wasn't much concerned to do anything about it (including apologizing for the disruption of the service). |

All the staff on reception were friendly and helpful - and yes, the barman is great... the reception/internet/bar/lounge area had a comfortable feel and we stopped off on the way in and out of the hotel virtually every time. The place has the charater of an old house - we liked the room in the big bay window at the front, despite being a bit tight to get round the beds. Location is superb - love the vondelpark & just a few minutes walk to the bars etc. of Leidseplein. On Booking.com the rates are good for a modern place in Amsterdam that has a door on the bathroom (everything is rather expensive but its a fantastic city) and the minor negatives are out-weighed by the positives - we'll definitely be staying again next time soon. The walls were quite thin, but no different to a large house - this is an old building that has been converted so no surprises there - not a major problem. The shower bracket was loose (room 130) and couldn't hold the showerhead up but we only reported it on Sunday morning so again not too surprised it wasn't fixed straight away - this is something that other reviewers have complained of so clearly the hotel needs to consider replacing faulty shower brackets as its such an easy quick win to stop negative comments. But it wasn't such a major problem to warrant changing rooms. |

Location is advantageous due to proximity to Museums Quarter. Existence of free internet access at the lobby is an advantage. Within the same room rate, non-existence of a minibar is a shortcoming. Window panes cannot be opened inside the room for ingress of fresh air. Hotel is within 10-12 min walking distance to nearest tram line that reaches to Central Station. |

Staff friendly and helpful and hotel in a good location for tourists. Was able to buy a drink in the hotel bar after a long day of walking and sightseeing. Also, near to supermarket as we had to buy toiletries. We booked on the web and were under the impression that breakfast was included. When speaking to other guests they had achieved a better deal than we had whereby their breakfast was included. We would have liked that option. |

The location is very good, near the Van Gogh museum and tram stop. Also the good thing is to have 2 computers with internet access free in the lobby, very usefull. The room was very small and the shower space. |

i loved the hotel, only complaint i would have is the room very small, but I think this is the norm in Amsterdam. spotless, comfortable with friendly staff. just wish it could have been larger, but for a weekend sightseeing, it was grand. GK small room |

Very stylishly designed and decorated (though the rooms were very minimalist), and alway spotlessly clean. The staff were very nice, and there was always someone available to help. Even if we left the room very late in the day, housekeeping always came back to tidy. The lobby lounge was super, as were the bartenders, and the guest internet was always available. The location was perfect; only 5-15 minutes walk to anything, but tucked away out of the tourist-madness. The room was comfortable, great shower, a window that opened wide. No coffee maker in the room; no ice machine (nor ice bucket in the room), so it was difficult to keep any snacks/drinks. Wireless internet was available in the room if you brought your own laptop, but it was too expensive. |
