location was very good and staff was very kind
room was very small
Staff is very hospitable and friendly. The room was very cozy, the air conditioner kept me warm inside. All in all everything was beyond my expectations.
Wifi could have been better.
almost everything: the location is perfectly in the center of Amsterdam that you can experience the city in the daytime and easily escape from the crowds at night; breakfast is also well-prepared.
I understand it's not the hotel nor the staff's fault, thus, I still recommend this hotel to everyone, except for those who cannot behave properly: some other guests was having kind of party through out level 3 and 4; they played music loudly; they shouted at each other in the passage; their kids yelled and screamed to their parents (or siblings) even after 1 AM.
Staff is friendly Hotel is very clean Breakfast was good Wifi worked well
Size of the room- they were small but most hotels in the area have the same issue due to the general structure of most building in Amsterdam
- Perfect location - Nice staff
- the room and the bathroom are really small. I do not recommend it, if you are travelling with big suitcases - the climatization of the room could be better and also the water's temperature
anna she was fantastic will def going back
Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Excellent location for me and my partner. Premier room with huge bath was very luxurious . Breakfeast was worth the money.
The room had stated patio , this was large windows that opened.
the hotel is nice, near to vondel park in a quite area. 20 min walk to central Amsterdam. good value for money . nice for a couple of days. you can take tram 2 or 5 to central station .Leidseplein is only 5 min. walk.
the room is small, they clean the room every day at 9 am , so you have to wake up early every day, which is not good if you are on a vacation.
Apart of all the best rates, breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel
I liked mostly everything. Perfect location! Clean, warm, friendly staff, nice rooms, everything worked. Wifi throughout. Fabulous breakfast every morning. Great value for the price.
The room was just a touch small, mostly just the bed...not much more space. But, I know that is normal for Europe.
the location is fantastic and easy to get to anywhere from. the staff was wonderful. we made a reservation around 5am the day we'd be checking in as the hotel we had been staying at was horrible and loud. the Piet Hein was absolutely lovely from the moment we walked in the door to the moment we walked out. Also, the breakfast buffet was fantastic and well worth the money. Thank you for making our stay in Amsterdam so wonderful!
Beautiful hotel and location
The hotel was lovely the only down side of the stay was the room was so cold and there was no heater in the room. There was an issue with the trying to print out the boarding passes there as we had to forward this information to the reception so that they could print them out, I didn't feel this was very helpful as it meant I had to visit an internet café to print out the boarding passes which was not helpful
Hotel was great , breakfast was great , staff was great, facilities great.
Economy room is so small you could not pass each other around the bed. Double bed against the wall with only 2 feet at the end and on one side of the bed to walk. No night table, only a chair that completely blocks the space so you can not walk around the bed to open blinds. Forget about in easy accessible space for your suitcase. The only thing that was big was the overhead lamp off the wall right over the pillow preventing you from sitting up in bed.
good location, bad stuff
The hotel is in a great location, the beautiful Vondelpark is right across the street and it's very close to Museumplein and Leidseplein Square. You can go anywhere walking. Access to the airport is also easy, you can get a bus to/from the airport just one block from the hotel. The room is cozy and clean with a king size bed. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I really recommend and would love to stay here again.
None. Although the breakfast is not free it's very good. There is also an excellent bakery one block away where you can have an excellent breakfast.
I have stayed in piet hein a couple of times. Compared to other hotels in the lovely oud zuid the hotel offers great value for money. Rooms are fairly large, and if you are lucky and in the back also quiet. Much appreciated i could check in early on request!
Not a big fan of some of the co-guests (quite a few low budget travelers)
Excellent location for Rijksmuseum, van Gogh and Stedejlik.
Economy rooms have no chair, table or room to unpack a suitcase. Basically just a bed so unsuitable for an extended stay. Very drafty window. Large metal reading lamp placed low directly over pillows prevents sitting in bed and reading. One night was significantly disturbed by shouting and crying by other guests, suggesting noise insulation is not very good. Cigarette smell.
View of park and friendly staff
The location is perfectly situated just 5 minutes from the Van Gough Museum and walking distance (10 mins) into town. Friendly and helpful staff helped us settle In. Although we didn't ask too many questions or require the on desk staff a lot they were willing to help and were friendly. The women who ran breakfast prepared a banquet each morning and also very friendly, accompanied by lovely clean rooms!
The cleaning of the rooms was sometimes too quick for my liking, with a few morning interruptions while we lay in bed. The street is not the prettiest in the city but the good walking time to any attraction and ability for a little detour through the park made up for that.
Location was good, very easy to get by public transport.
the location is fine.
When I checked-in, the staff told me that the room was very nice. The room which I stayed is a really really "nice" room - Room106. This Room is located on basement, opposite to the man toilet, next to the hotel facility room. you can image how bad is the smell, how noisy is it. Fortunately i didn't spend much time in the room. I have been many countries but never seen this kind of room. I really don't understand why the room is still in sold. What they want is just the money? I don't know. I'm sure I will not recommend it to my friends even it is free...
Very good breakfast: very helpful staff
Needed a little maintenance: bathroom door hook came off: one light bulb not working, and stair rail needed attention
Staff at the reception rude and not ready to help.
The room was in the basement next to the heating machines and the cleaning rooms. There was a noise all night and the reception did nothing about it.
