It was claen and the staff spoke English It was shabby, more like the youth hostels I stayed in last summer in France with my daughter. Only choose it if you don't mind steep, narrow stairs. |

They had problem checking me in. The room was booked by my wifet on my behalf. I was listed as the guest on the booking. But the receptionist asked to see my wife's passport - who was not with me. |

Good location for the price you pay. The trams outside may be disturbing if you are sensitive to sound. There were no problems sleeping if I had the windows closed though. |

We were expected when we arrived. Used the key with grocery discount. Liked the maps of Amsterdam and the information that was available in the lobby Smelled smoking in lobby. Was hard to get to with our suitcases on the steep whinding stairway. Would have liked new towels daily with soap. |

The hotel was clean and located close to a tram stop for easy access to most city areas. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The noise that the trams created outside my room early in the morning. |
