Themed rooms, location

central Delft, now has most roads closed to cars, so difficult to get to hotel. We were told breakfast starts at 07:30, but in the morning when we went for breakfast it was closed and a sign saying breakfast 08:30. So we had no breakfast before having to leave for a meeting. We were not the only ones, there were other people in the same situation. This is probably why they asked us to pay upon arrival!!!!!

The staff, the location, the rooms, everything was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel.

We enjoy the jacuzzi especially.

The reception couldn't give us good information about the rooms. The lift is slow and dangerous. The hotel needs some renovations, toilete smell bad and it was cold to sleep behind the window in Tamarinde.

The design of the lobby

They should improve their heating... The design of the bathroom...not that nice having your toilette 40 cm distant from your bed...

I have stayed at the hotel many times and it is always an enjoyable experience.

Toilets are in an open space in the room, no door, no roof...

The Hotel staff were excellent. We booked this hotel the night before online. It was the most unusual hotel....the rooms were intriguing, the staff was excellent and the stay for us was perfect. The interior design in our "standard" room was beautiful. We just loved the whole atmosphere. I had fallen the day before and broken a bone in my foot. I just needed to relax and enjoy Delft. We were across from a little square and could watch a jazz concert that night. Sitting outside in the cute little front area was just what we needed.

I'd love to sit outside on the terrace, even when it rains, so an umbrella or cover of some sort would be great.

Lovely hotel with lovely staff in the centre of the historic city of Delft. The design of the rooms and restaurant/bar are totally unique and the whole theme of the hotel works very well.The staff were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them-even trying to fix my laptop so that we could pick up the internet.

Nothing. A gem of a hotel!

The hotel is really nice and original; free parking is a good thing too. Breakfast in general was good and with a variety. Staff has been very kind and helpful.

The architect who designed the shower has probably never tried it once: at each use of the shower the whole bathroom got completely wet. Also the waterbasin placed in the other corner of the room was as eclectic as not practical. Finally, one morning the waiter/waitress in charge for reception, bar and preparing breakfast didn't show up and we had to wait helplessly for 1,5 hours for somebody to come (we also had to phone to the "emergency number"). We expected a better staff managing from this kind of structure

Hotel de Plataan is facing a small sqare, a quiet and beautiful location. The reception and lounge room is special and the atmosphere is very good. The certain identity makes the stay successful.

The themed room we had "The Garden of Eden" 101 was so quirky we loved it together with the rest of the hotel. If you like stainless steel and plastic corporate hotels this is not for you but if you want original paintings on the walls, bizarre decoration and originality this completely fits the bill. The location is excellent and it has good free parking, unheard of in Delft. All the staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel de Plataan made us smile. We will return.

There were no bitterballen available on the snack menu, but the toasties were great!

The lift was very strange

For our purpose the location was perfect and the staff were helpful could not have been more pleasant and quiet.

The rooms were to hot at night this could be sorted by putting thinner duvets on the beds.

The staff were all excellent - helpful and considerate. The rooms - fabulous view from both of them across Delft, very clean and comfortable and convenient. The whole arrangement was very easy. I loved the breakfasts - a variety and plenty - cereals, yoghurts, warm bread and fruits and jams, eggs, meat and cheeses. Location couldn't have been better right near the centre of Delft, easy strolling for an evening out or a visit round the town. The bar / breakfast room was relaxing and easy to be in - always full of fresh flowers and welcoming to bob down for a drink in the evening.

The only thing I would have liked is a kettle in our rooms in order to make a cup of tea every now and again!

The rooms are decorated with a very unique style, extremely comfortable and the hotel staff is very kind. I strongly recommend it.
