Hotel Princess  

Bed was fairly comfortable, staff gave a lot of tips about the area. Location was excellent!

The breakfast was pretty dull without much choice and we had to wait a long time to get a clean plate. Overall, it felt a lot like a one star hotel- you get what you pay for. A bed to sleep in and not many frills.

the guy who was on duty at reception when i arrived wasn't very friendly. when i arrived for breakfast on my first morning the breakfast room was a mess and there were no clean plates or cutlery for me to use. i had to clear my own table and ask for everything i needed from the unfriendly guy at reception.

I had a small but perfectly comfortable bed. The man who was responsible for replenishing the rooms was friendly. The breakfast room was small but sharing tables was a good chance to get talking to people. Good location. Safe and friendly. TV (with remote) had British and US channels.

They were a bit 'off' when I checked in. It wasn't busy so they could have been a bit more friendly. There was a sign on the window asking me not open my window but I didn't understand why not - so I just opened it anyway to let some air in!

The service was good. Staff held our bags at the hotel after check out. Good for a couple of days stay if you can coupe with a small room..

Too small rooms, barely enough space for the 6 to stand.

Today I found that my bank card has been deducted money again.But I did not have any reservations。Please tell me why！！！！！

- It is located close to the city centre, with good connection to public transportation - we were familiar with the environment, 'cause we stayed in this hotel for several years - we love Mario, a talkative, friendly guy, if he is on duty, everything is arranged

- We had to change room, because there was a mouse in the first room. - Wifi is free, but the connection was very bad, only sometimes worked inside the room. - we didn't get remote for the TV - during our three days of stay, the coffee machine at the breakfast room was out of order - pretty high price, considering that we booked our stay minimum 2 months before

The breakfast is awesome, I had ham and cheese. People are nice and friendly, love the guy at the reception, he's cool, honest and caring. The bed is comfortable, the 4-bed room is cosy, and the breakfast is so nice and on time, waking you up at 8.00 in the morning. Thank you for everything.

no female only dorm, light didnt work over my bed so couldnt read, smoker in my room! some staff v unfriendly, no facilities for tea/coffee, internet terrible and v expensive (couldnt get messages or hotmail)

Room cleaned every day Towels changed regularly. Breakfast fine, sufficient, but a little monotonous (stayed 9 days).

Room very small. No storage space. Water noise from nearby showers. Steep stairway may be unsuitable for some people.

Only one shared bathroom on each floor. Roommates who don't follow the rules because nobody from the staff cares about it.

Comfy beds, quiet, value, good lights (above and bed side) cutains, wardrobe, breakfast included, location near centre.

electricity outlets high up and a bit hard to use but they were fine with me. ... a little fruit in the breakfast would be good if it can still be affordable

It's location is good for transport to Amsterdam central, not in the heart of the city but still close enough to walk to all the action.... And if you don't want to walk, Tram line no.1 stops just across the street. No frills and no fuss with a decent room. if you're going to be out and about it'll do just fine. 24 hrs access

The hotel was very clean. And the breakfast was great. The beds were very comfortable. It was 40 minutes walk fron the centre.

In the first night room was so cold but they fixed it in the second night.

Very small room. No Breakfast on Sunday, There was nobody at the reception between 8-8.30 in the morning...!

stairs were unbelievable, although not uncommon for Amsterdam, + the wifi were only 2hour intervals at the time, which made it a hassle having to always get a ticket

The staff were courteous and helpful, the beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. Unlike the notoriously unhelpful practice in many Amsterdam hostels of providing only one key for the dorm, this hotel used swipe cards for 24 hour building and room access - very impressive! There was a fridge, a microwave, good sized lockers in the room (mine was a four bed dorm) and a large television in the comfortable communal lounge room. The toilet/bathroom facilities were limited but both modern and clean.

Only problem was lack of internet. There was only a single working PC which had been booked out all night by one user ... wifi was not free but chargeable at a rate higher than some Amsterdam internet cafes! fortunately, there was a cafe close by and the staff were able to advise me of this.

Good receptionist, very kind.

A crazy woman(sharing the same room) stoned speaking(annoying) rubbish all the time

The room was unclean. It was noisy in the street. The breakfast was poor.

The staff were friendly and helpful

The bed in my room had bed bugs and I was bitten really badly. Initially I thought it was mosquitos, but it was definitely bed bugs. This is really unacceptable when I didn't consider the amount I paid for the room to be cheap.

The breakfast was correct.

Too noisy and small (if it was full it could be a real problem).

The staff was excellent, the location was awesome, beds were comfortable and no problem with noise. A decent breakfast as well.

The coffee wasn't that great. The free Wi-fi didn't properly work on phones.

/!\ avoid this place !!!! /!\ The hotel was very dirty, and there were bedbugs everywhere (we change our room two times before to leave this place). The manager was dishonest, the staff dirty as the hotel, the breakfast disgusting. If you want to be sick or find your body full of spot, go to this hotel. Even sleeping in the street is better than this place. We are just a normal couple, we traveled a lot all over the world and to be honest it's the worst place ever! /!\ AVOID THIS PLACE !!!! /!\

Cleanliness of the hotel, and very helpful staff.

One thing is the wifi only strong signal in the common are of the hotel unlike in the rooms very weak signal.

Great breakfast - buffet with all the trimmings. Ok, the coffee was nescafe but you'll forgive that. Lovely receptionist, very friendly.

For me all was fine.
