Though close to the upscale shopping area, the immediate neighborhood has seen better days.
Charming, well-appointed apartment, close to the down-town shopping area, and not very far from central station. A tram leaves you just in front of your door. Very clean and a good value.
The downside is that I had to make a prior "arrangement", at a cost no less, in order to gain access to the property, because I was going to arrive after 10 pm. I turned up just before 11 pm and the front door was locked and the entire building was unlit. By the way, 60 is the correct street number. The Roman numeral II refers to the unit number INSIDE the building and you can't see it anywhere on the facade of the building. A next-door neighbour coming home late confirmed to me that the pitch-dark building was indeed where the "Comfort" apartment was! So do not look for 60 II or 60 bis. You won't find it. Would someone have been there acting as a receptionist BEFORE 10 pm? I don't know. I raised that question via Booking.com, for future reference and for the benefit of other interested guests (don't ask me why I bothered), but did not receive an answer. The gentleman who arrived by car (after I called their number twice: the first time I called, the line was busy and I got to the voicemail speaking, er, Dutch... single Dutch I think) to let me in and make my bed was very friendly and pleasant, though. Imagine the mess I would have been in, if I hadn't had my wits about me and enquired in advance about the availability of a receptionist after 10 pm! Maybe I hadn't been careful enough reading the description of the facility. I don't know. But it all worked out in the end.
It is not your usual hotel/serviced apartment, but you are in for a surprise and, for most part, a pleasant one. It is a proper HOME, fully furnished, complete with a nice kitchen and fast wi-fi! And it's right next to a tram line, which I didn't use during my very brief stay (I was in The Hague for 17 hours only this time). It is a studio flat that can sleep three. You feel welcomed and at home when you are in there.
it is toooo bad, charge more money from my credit card before connect to me. And the reason I think it's very ridiculous. when we check in we ordered 11am to check out. But the employee come at 10:20 am. It is too early. So I told him please come at 11am. When 11am we have prepared already. And waiting for him to give the key. He come at 14:30. And we leaved after give him the key. But after one day he email to me That he has already charged my credit card for extra day!!! I can't believe he can do that!!
