Hotel Prinsenhof IJmuiden is located about a 10 minute walk from the hydrofoil that takes you to and from Amsterdam Central Train Station in about 25 minutes. The hotel has 14 rooms, all equipped with private bathroom with shower, phone and TV. Some rooms have a bathtub . There is free parking in front of the hotel. There is also an elevator available. A quiet location lovely hotel and very clean and relaxing rooms,stayed last 2 years and will come again. Moody unpleasant owner/keeper,made you feel you were a pain just being there.

Rooms were clean and comfortable, everything modern and nicely furnished and the breakfast was better than expected: boiled eggs, ham, cheese, orange juice, corn flakes, tea, coffee, bread, toast, biscuits. Staff not very friendly - maybe she was having a bad day...

Useful location for Newcastle to Amsterdam ferry yet outside Amsterdam. Excellent transport links to Amsterdam -Flying Fish hovercraft.Free car parking.Decent room , comfortable night's sleep, lift, little traffic or other noise. Whilst other guests did congregate, chat, drink and smoke in the lounge area outside our room for the evening, they did go quiet at 11pm. Thank you. Pleasant breakfast room with good breakfast -help yourself to as much as you wanted.We booked a room with shower and for no extra fee also got a bath.Again, thanks. Difficult to find reasonable restaurant for evening meal nearby but we found one selling Mongolian dishes -a new experience.

A very nice small hotel. Breakfast room pleasantly decorated and good food. Spacious, clean room, clean bathroom with shower. There was no shower gel and shampoo but for us it was not a problem. The owners are very nice. Plenty of good restaurants in town. Most of us like a Greek restaurant. Very easy and pleasant transportation to fast ferry to Amsterdam. 8.25 euro round trip. Beware of hours return from Amsterdam to Ijmuiden, we lost the last race and we had to take a train a few stops and then taxi (16 euro). One thing bothered me: the smell of cigarette smoke in the lobby, which reached the room. Morning I woke up in a strong odor of cigarettes. I have not seen anyone smoking though.

Comfortable budget hotel - good location friendly helpful staff would have no hesitation in staying again if needed to. Lack of hot drinks available - even a vending maching for tea/coffee etc. would be a bonus.

We chose this hotel because we couldn't find any in Amsterdam due to the Queen's day. It was quite convenient regarding the transportation as there are fast flying boat which leaves every 30 mns. But, it costs about 6 Euro per person(one way). The hotel is not far from the port and we could walk there. The room is nice and clean and it is comfortable and worth paying for.

Room comfortable and clean. We liked the neighborhood--quiet but close to a grocery store and a fantastic restaurant (Amen Ra Bar and Grill). Easy to get to and from Amsterdam by hydrofoil--and less expensive to do so´than you might think. Breakfast not varied enough. Could have used some fruit and yogurt and some rolls, rather than just bread--that said,the coffee was great!

This hotel is in very good location, has good facilities and very friendly staff. I could smell cigarretes smoke, rather have non-smokers facilities, especiallly when we had small baby with us

Incredibly helpful and friendly staff. Ideally situated for high speed ferry in to Amsterdam and ferry port back to UK. Nice quiet, safe area.

Hotel mne mile překvapil. Personál byl velmi ochotný. Poloha hotelu je na klidné ulici, takže v noci byl úplný klid. Skvělá je jeho poloha poblíž Amsterdamu. Několik minut od hotelu se nachází stanoviště rychlolodi do Amsterdamu (cesta tam a zpět cca 25 min. každou půlhodinu za 8,25 eura) s druhou zastávkou přímo v centru města u hlavního nádraží. Snídaně byly klasické a ve velmi útulné stylově zařízené přízemní části hotelu. Parkování přímo u hotelu, kde sice nejsou rezervovan místa, ale vždy se nějaké volné našlo. Centrální poloha hotelu nám velmi vyhovovala. Celkový dojem z hotelu byl vynikající a určitě bych ho znovu využila při dalších cestách. Spolucestující přátelé byli také nadšeni.

Vriendelijk personeel, goed verzorgde kamers en een simpel maar prima ontbijt voor deze prijs. We hadden gaan shampoo mee genomen, omdat we er vanuit gingen dat dat in het hotel wel aanwezig zou zijn. Helaas was dit niet het geval. Verder geen klachten!

Hübsch gestalteter Frühstücksraum, geräumiges Zimmer, nette Mitarbeiter, kostenfreies WLAN. Frühstück nicht sehr variantenreich (Obst oder Joghurt wäre schön), in unserem Zimmer waren zwei Einzelbetten zum Doppelbett zusammengeschoben, sehr sparsam mit den Handtüchern, Fön erst auf Anfrage, nur ein deutscher Fernsehsender.
