Easy access to transport links and the Wallen, desk staff were friendly and helpful. Good central locatoin is within easy travelling distance of most major attractions. Rooms are generally reasonably spacious; mine was particulaly big! |

near chinatown, central station and the bars on red light district wireless not working in other floors and they insisted that it's working instead of checking to see what the problem was. WC defective: it takes time to fill the tank up with water for flushing. |

The hotel is absolutely centrally located (had a room with a view of Amsterdam Centraal). It is famous due to the fact that Chet Baker was staying here when he died. Breakfast was OK. The hotel has not been renovated in over 25 years. The air in the room had a mouldy smell (opening the window helped). The hotel claims to be ***, but it is rather **. On the other hand, with this location in Amsterdam, 85 EUR with breakfast seems acceptable even for a **. |

Location, location, location, wether you are a tourist or local. It's very near the main shopping area and the Central Station. This place is very affordable, we had a 2 floor appartment for a great price. I enjoyed the breakfast. The water gets really cold and really hot (and doesn't run out). They cleaned the floors and (neighbors) ashtrays with guest towels (luckily I always bring my own towels). The stove and oven in the kitchenette have been shut down. Though I understand the reason, we were not informed, so the groceries we bought had to be thrown out. To get to the appartment you have to take the elevator and then the stairs. |

Please write at least 15 words It is optimally located near the central station and the center. It is a good quality hotel for a reasonable price, clean, with kind staff and a rich breakfast. A bit noisy the roads around the hotel, also late in the night, but if you can keep the windows closed, there is no problem. No fridge in the room, but there is a drink dispenser downstairs. |

Staff was well organized and helpful. Rooms were clean. Hotel was close to tourist attractions. Good and free internet. Instead of billing me in Euros, I was billed in dollars using the hotels poor exchange rate. So the room cost me an extra $14 over the two days as a result of this accounting practice. I did not opt to be billed in dollars (with the bad rate), it was just done. |

Comparatively inexpensive and extremely convenient for a short stay in Amsterdam coming in and out of Central Station. Comfortable enough for the price. Room rather smelled (and not of weed, just general musty old smell). Something made me itch in the night (sheets?) -- but not badly. booking.com said there was wifi available at an extra charge but there was not. Desk staff asked to leave message for a friend who was coming but that friend waited around a half hour before asking herself if there was a message (i.e. |

The position. Very close to Amsterdam Central train station. Close to the city center. Very very close to Chinatown, full of chinese and asiatic restaurants. The reception staff was very kind. Bathroom very small. Noisy because bedroom was on the street. The furniture very basicl. Only 1 computer available, at reception. |

Lovely room and very nice setting. Near Central Station so easy to organize tram tickets and embark upon the city. Very nice cafe attached and could take anything to the room. Free breakfast was good. Clean and nice. Internet. This hotel really needs to move into this century. No internet in the room at all, even for pay, and the only access was at one station in the busiest part of the lobby for 1 euro/10 min, so no privacy at all and expensive. This really is a problem if you depend on the web for business or other communication. |

Central station is just across the street, so the position of the hotel is perfect, hotel is clean, good breakfast, pleasantly surprised because hotels in Amsterdam are expensive and poor quality, but this one is very good for the rate you pay |
