The location of the hotel is great. The cafe shops and bars around are much better then the ones in the city center. We stayed one night in a 3 bed room. The stuff was helpful. They have charged +%5 for paying with credit card!!! |

Clean, good value and central. The hotel was advertised as "strictly non-smoking", yet the whole place at all times smelt of skunk. I didn't mind, you do go to Amsterdam to smoke so I just wished they were honest! |

The location was the only good thing about the hotel. The private bathroom was poor, smoke smell in the non-smoking room, shared bathroom was in the room next door = we heard the people all night long using the toilet.... The security was poor (we found the room door open when returning from the city in the afternoon.. they said it was the room lady..) |

The cafe is the attractor, serving drinks and sandwiches. There is no elevator, and stairs are steep, small and winding to the upper floors, making it hard to carry luggage of larger size. The rooms themselves have no shower or toilet, only a sink. There is a common shower/sink and a single toilet to serve three rooms on the same floor. My wife has back problems and the mattress was very old and soft causing back pain. The room itself was quite small (8' x 18') .The noise in the street was loud, making it hard to sleep. The carpet was dirty and needs replacement. |

Wenn actually this could be a very nice place to stay. Very great district, fairly quiet and the studio is actually of good size, with a little kitchen. The place is unnecessary wrecked down. Thilthy chairs with the stuffing hanging out and the worst unnecessary was the dirt on the balkony, some hundret joint and cigarettes, leftofers from the last repairing of the floor und other junkt. Looking out of the window to that mess you feel like an unwanted guest and wonder what kind of guests might have stayed here. Additionaly the bath is with black stains of fungus spores not very helthy, not a friend of chlourus, it would help. Refrigirator running like a traktor. I guess the 130 Euro a night are only the ripoff price while IBC but 60 would be to much as well. Maybe they invest 200 in the apartment and everything is fine again. I guess they don't care. |

It was close the to city centre and on a nice street. Away from the busy centre but close enough to walk there. Stairs were too steep, it smelled in the corridor, you could hear absolutely everything that was going on in the other rooms, facilities were very very basic and the room was not clean when we arrived nor was it cleaned throughout our stay. The shower was in the toilet and there was no wash hand basin. Oh and the windows didn't lock and the glass on the inner door was broken and very dangerous although when we complained we were told this was normal. |

The shower was GREAT, the room was fine, the staff was very friendly but overworked! The smell of the public rooms was awful. Our room smelled fine though. |

Good location. Courteous staff. It was very run down, stained walls and carpeting, sewage or mold smell in the hallway. The building is in need of cosmetic renovation and insulation between rooms. The bathroom was a small room with no separation of the shower, which left the whole bathroom flooded after showering. |

It was a good location for staying in the city and there was a wonderful little park located next door on the canal where we often sat in the evening. The room was not anything like what was shown on the website. Check in took a long time and was inefficient. The bed linens were old and smelly. The tv didn't work, there was no working light in the bathroom, the hallway smelled horrible, no towel service even though we were there for 7 days. We bought a fan since it was so hot and even left a lamp we bought for the bathroom. |

We could have fitted at least 5 people. We were only 3 though which pushed the price up a little bit. The area is amazing The steps are veryyyyyy steep and manyyyyyy (4 floors no lift). Defnitely not recommended for anyone over 35 years old |

I stayed at one of the studio apartments on Lindengracht which had a full kitchen and a nice balcony off the back. I enjoyed the privacy and quiet of the apartment as well as the convenience of being able to make a lot of my own meals. The cleaning staff checked in every day to see if I needed anything. Good value for the money. |

Good central location, 15 min walking from Dam Square. Clean and comfortable rooms, good enough for a short stay. Friendly personnel. Quite limited breakfast. You have to choose between either tea or juice, cannot have both. Weird smell on the corridors. |

We were looking for a low-cost option for an overnight stay in Amsterdam before flying to UK the next day. We wanted convenient access to Centraal Train station but in a quieter part of town away from the Red-Light District. The Hotel Ramanas is adjacent to the quiet but picturesque Jordaan Area and only 2 stops by bus from Centraal Station. We knew the hotels in the narrow old Amsterdam houses have small rooms and steep stairs. That didn't bother us, but the double bed we booked turned out to be more like a 3/4 bed, about 120cm wide, so was a bit difficult to sleep comfortably. But as it was only one night, and the price was good, we would still recommend it. |

this hotel hasn't got anything about "city centre" as it's name says, we were moved to a horrible apartment three kilometres (two miles) from the city centre and there was just one bus to the centre and it wasn't really frequent, we had to take taxis every time. if you are looking for a hotel, don't go there, I guess it's ok as a hostel. |

We stayed in the apartment a few blocks from the hotel. Great location, walking distance from everything but away from the loud part of town. Spacious room for four people. Comfortable beds. Nice view. The bathroom smelled like somebody mildewed to death in there. |

The hotel is located in a central zone of the city, the neighborhood is charming and the view from the apartment is wonderful. The apartment has a strong smell of cigarette smoke, the bathroom smells like sewer and there is mould on the shower wall. |
