Personell was friendly and helpful. Chamber had a wierd layout, was small and lacked storage space. Price, in particular the additional breakfast fee, was too high for this accomodation.

Very helpful staff; Really comfy beds; Walking distance to everywhere in the old city; Many good eateries nearby - budget and fine-dining. Parking not always available outside the hotel (but not that far to walk with cases if fairly agile); Ocassional sewer smell in room (but not restricted to our hotel)

Location next to the windmill and station, excellent mattress, lounge bar. Staff. The girl who works at reception during the day is very unprofessional, impolite and wicked.

+ Location + while heading out, I peeked in the other rooms (the door was left open due to cleaning service), and they looked much nicer and bigger. So, that is why my rating is "average" instead of "poor". - Smelly corridors - the ventilation system in the room was on and off all night, which was quite annoying and noisy. I figured I could have taken the keycard out of its slot - hence cutting electricity - in which case the ventilation would have been off. yet, it is kind of annoying. - very very small (single) room. - too pricy for the type of room

The bed was the most comfortable bed myself and my partner has ever slept in! The room was spotless and staff very friendly. We had arrived at the hotel early and the receptionist was only to happy to allow us to leave our luggage until the room was available. The bathroom was lovely. I love my cup of tea! Would have been good to have tea/coffee facilities.

Great location - near the railway station and near the old town. Friendly, helpful staff. Reasonable rates. Small and odd-shaped room (a long narrow ~1.5m corridor leading to the desk and window). The bed was good and large but was only about 1 metre from the door so that the door could only be opened about 45 degrees. An obese person would not be able to get through the door. It was fine for two nights. A look at the fire escape plan showed our room was the only strangely shaped one on our floor - I guess that is a consequence of refitting an existing old building to be a hotel.

I found the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel was located central for all sights of Leiden and very close to the bus and train station. The hotel was close to bars and several restaurants including its own which was very good. The rooms were clean although in need of decoration but on the whole very good. Main lobby area and restaurants excellent. We will definately stay there again. The was nothing to dislike about the Rembrandt and its staff.

Rembrandt has good facilities and the hotel was very clean . Our room was comfortable and very clean . Towels were changed every day . Hotel staff were very hekpful and friendly too . The hotel has an excellent location in historic Leiden and the station is in walking distance . Hotel prices in central Leiden are eye wateringly expensive ! There are no discounts fpr longer stays either ! Rembrangt's prices are npw more than twice the room cost for an equivalent stay in Ibis which opened recently !

OK, all these other comments get hung up on the WiFi. At the Rembrandt it's not very good, so bring a cable and lets put that one to bed! Now the Rembrandt is an excellent hotel. The rooms are clean and more than adequate for a short stay break, you'll want to be out there enjoying Leiden not stuck in your room. You will probably look around at the array of eating places, but listen the restaurant at the Rembrandt was superb. As a veggie I had eaten the veggie option on niht 1 and the chef insisted on making me something different on the second night. Great food, great prices, great attitude. The jewel in the Rembrandt crown is the staff. All very happy, more than willing to help. These are people enjoying their job and going the extra mile for he customer, 5 star staff. I'd highlight Ton in the restaurant/bar, what a guy, he really goes the extra mile for all te customers. Right in the heart of Leiden 500m from Leiden Centraal, shopping (excellent) about 500m away. Great bars and retaurants all around. For a trip to Holland don't stay in Amsterdam! Put yourself up in the Rembrandt, hop on the train in the morning and head to Amsterdam (40 mins) for a few euro, you'll have a much better stay. Thanks Rembrandt, I'll be back soon. Yeah OK the WiFis not great. No spa etc. That's all good, get out and see Leiden.

Well situated for quick access to both railway station and city centre; ambitious and interesting menu in the restaurant; staff very pleasant and helpful, though somewhat divided in attention between the restaurant/café and running a hotel. Hardly meets the description 'hotel' – consists of a set of rooms above a stylish and aspirational restaurant and café bar, with the small reception area the only public/sitting-room space (the café bar doesn't fill the bill in that respect). Single bedrooms awkwardly small (and the minibar 'in all rooms' was certainly not in mine) but very clean, with a newly installed bath[shower]room; facilities quite basic, however, and no useful information in the room apart from the obligatory fire evacuation instructions and a blurb for the restaurant and café. (Using the safe entailed peering at floor-level into the back of the small wardrobe and trying to make out the instructions, in Dutch only, on the door..!) Overpriced for what's provided.

The location is unbeatable and the hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. There are plenty of restaurants close by. The rooms won't win any prizes in terms of beauty or luxury, but it was perfectly adequate for a few nights' stay.

The Rembrandt is a very small, intimate hotel . Modest price but sense of luxury in the attention to detail. Our room , on the top floor was beautifully designed with skylights and a feeling of space. And there was an elevator! The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful On the recommendation of other guests we had dinner there as well. It was absolutely excellent. We were very impressed with the quality and originality of the food. Although it is not right on a cana, our balcony overlooked it and after dinner we walked along many beautiful canals.
