The hotel is well positioned in the heart of the city. The staff were well in control of customer needs. The hotel is clean but limited for customers. I would stay again. Good value for the price.

Overpriced and run down - I only chose this hotel out of necessity, I will be avoiding it for future trips Dirty, run down, overpriced, unimpressed in every way. I would recommend booking elsewhere at the price I paid ($450 for three nights).

It was a good location, easy access to all the main tourist areas but not too commercial and noisy. Hotel reception was friendly, they provided alot of information and were very willing to help The room was spacious and offered appropriate factiltied for a weekend break There were no tea/coffee facilties in the room and the facilties generally were quite basic. It is a well suited as a budget hotel and it fine for a short stay only

The loction is perfect for a city break including a taste of history and the picturesque world-renowned Amsterdam canals. All right there on your doorstep. The room was slightly dated but I knew that - having stayed there before.

In a beautiful old canal side location, this hotel was in a quiet area but very close (three minutes walk) to the bustling heart of Amsterdam. The room had a great canal view and it was a treat to watch the boats of every description passing beneath our window. The room was light and pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The hotel was over heated. This may be because the weather was mild, but the interior was stifling unless we opened the windows of our room, which made it better. Either air conditioning or less heating would have improved our comfort level.

Our trip room was spaceous and clean and had canal view. The windows could open about 8 inches, which was wonderful. The hotel has a lift. Breakfast was unpleasant. Not enough staff to tidy tables and replenish food - we had to wait really long for fresh yoghurt or fruit or whatever else was finished. We never arrived there with something not finished! To start off with, serving dishes too small for so many guests. Dining room hot. We missed a personal touch at reception - perhaps because we had been staying in 2 small hotels before that.

Reception staff greeted us well. Breakfast never had enough food ready for people to serve up. It was slow coming out from the kitchen. Not my idea of a Buffet Breakfast.

Excellent breakfast we booked a room with balcony - there is only one apparently, it was just luck we got it, and i think the tiny ledge outside the door is an exageration to call it a balcony

wherever we went for the day in Amsterdam we were never far away and could pop back to change and drop off our bags, that was the whole appeal of this hotel I have already recommended the Rembrandt Classic Hotel to friends as they hope to go to Amsterdam soon It would be nice to have Tea/Coffee facilities in the room but I don't think it is something that is done on the continent, shame!

The location of this hotel is excellent. The hotel rooms are a little dated. They are in need of a lick of paint as all the walls are scuffed and marked and perhaps some replacement furniture as the sofa bed was badly stained.

My daughter and I really liked the location - in easy walking distance of many sites. We are travelling throughout Europe and by comparison to other hotels, the room was large and clean. Although we didn't spend much time in the room, internet and TV access were good. Everything was just a little outdated and dark - met our needs but could use some sprucing up and redecorating. Our room was in the lower basement level - maybe other levels are more updated???
