The clubs keep partying late
- best breakfast for lowprice hotel - good location
- everyday problem with WiFi - lot of stairs
Location was easy to find and great for bars and restaurants.
Noisy. Narrow single bed. Shared shower and loo.
View from window at night.
Impossible to sleep without earplugs. This is right on Rembrandt Square, which is basically a party place full of clubs and it is unbearably loud until 4 am and at 6 the cleanup crews start making noise.
Location, value for money, staff
Very noisy due to club below
Location was lively.
One socket in room and it was on ceiling. The square was quite noisy through the night.
Excellent location Clean rooms
Noisy street Small rooms
The location is perfect. There was one young staff member that was very friendly and helpful, but I can not remember his name. The rooms weren't too badly sized considering I had heard how small accommodation is in Amsterdam. Overall I was pleased!
I disliked sharing a bathroom but the bathroom was only shared with one other room, so it wasn't too bad and we knew at the time of booking that this was the case. therefor it was no fault of the hotels. Also the stairs.
The location was great being in the heart of the square and easily accessible.
During our stay, the Internet service was appalling and rarely worked, the toilets directly accessible to pur room were also out of service, no escalator with 5 sets of very steep step make for a very uncomfortable walk up. The breakfast options were very limited also.
- Excellent location - The must see attractions are within walking distance - Affordable price - Decent breakfast
- Wi-Fi didn't work becasue of system problem
Great location, friendly and knowledgable staff
slightly loud but really not too much of an issue
The location was perfect for what we wanted to do on our holiday. There's plenty of places to eat in the area, the night life was brilliant. There are also bike taxis in the square which are 5 euros as well as trams making it very easy to get to other places. Staff were very friendly and dealt with any requests we had quickly and promptly. Despite the fact you have to share a shower with people on your floor both showers were always very clean. Overall I think this is a very nice place to stay and if I was to stay in the area again I'd definitely stay at this hotel.
Like a lot of buildings in Amsterdam the stairs are very steep. I personally didn't have a problem with it but some people might. Also the mattresses were abit hard and weren't that comfy. It can be noisy at night depending on if your room is at the front or the back of the hotel. But again I had no problem with this, I could still sleep perfectly fine but we were usually out at night anyway.
The location is perfect, nice staff, clean room and a lovely view over Rembrandt Square. Definitely would go back
Stayed here 6 years ago, it was excellent then and it's excellent now. Top hotel
It's well located and the staff is super nice.
The room was a little small
Great location, easy to walk to sights in the main city area and also south to the museums and large park. Wifi worked well in our room. Nice/clean linens. Fresh towels everyday. Sink in room.
Was a bit cramped fitting 4 people in our room, but fine for a couple days especially if you arnt expecting too much. Advertised tv on the room is very small so don't rely on that for anything. Breakfast only okay, probably what you expect for 2 euros...
Hotel was in a fantastic location and the staff were lovely! Would certainly come back at £70 each for 2 nights!
It is the perfect hotel for a traveller looking for fun, bars and coffee shops. Great position in town, on a square full of life (even at night).
Very loud music at night til 4 am. My room was at the third floor (without a lift) and still could hear people shouting and music during the whole night, week days.
The location is wonderful, and the staff is very friendly. It's also a very good quality/price ratio. The sheets and the bathroom were very clean ( even though the carpet had a few stains, probably from the skylight above).
The carpet was a bit stained and the skylight didn't close all the way. Breakfast was served in a club next to the hotel and that was a bit strange. Also there were not a lot of options for the food and it wasn't all that great.
staff were unfriendly and rude. the rooms were filthy the showers were cold and they didnt even have any clean towels
Just beside Rembrandt Square, it's very convenient. Hotel don't have elevator, but their staff are very helpful to bring up your luggage.
great location, clean & friendly, helpful staff & perfect for young adults on budget.
Location was very nice and close to red light district
