Rho is on the edge of Dam Square, half a mile from Amsterdam Central Train Station. It has free Wi-Fi and the lobby is an impressive Art Deco-style former theater.

Staff at the reception were extremely courteous and helpful.
Complimentary breakfast could have had more items on the menu.
The location was perfect, we could wonder through the city on foot. The bathrooms were really clean, though shared. We had breakfast, which is not usually offered by other hotels or hostels. This was the perfect value for money.
The only bad thing that happened was that the fire alarm went off at around 4.30 in the morning. Of course, I could not blame the hotel for someone lighting up a cigarette in their room, which probably was what triggered the alarm.
Location on Rembrandtplein is good as you are close to everything.
Noise from night club downstairs is worse than I expected even on weekdays. Carpet looks very dirty. Hotel smells like cigarette smoke. One shower was broken. I told the staff and they never did anything about it. The free internet doesn't always work.
Everything suited me from the location to the hygiene of the place and the staff were more than friendly and polite highly recomended
Really good location , easy to find
Breakfast Time : We almost got kicked out from the room , the worker was mean. We couldn't take the time to eat because people was coming in and it wasn't enought of space.
Right above smokeys
Perfect for young travelling groups as is amongst the busy bar district and walking distance to anything you want to see and the train to the airport Is only a tram ride or a 10 minute walk away
Lots of stairs when drunk haha nothing that can be done by thought id pet people know how in advance
Excellent location Friendly and knowledgable staff Really good breakfast
If these can be interepreted as a negative characteristics: Bed was to soft (when I am accustomed to hard one) and as being located above one of Amsterdam's many coffee shops...everything was permeated with the smell of weed
Some people can find it noisy as it is placed on the squarer where are bars and night club, but I am deep sleeper so did not bother me so much
Location was good for me coffie shop down stars and bars all round. Staff did there job, let us leave our bags in hotel till 2pm cheek in, and we were alowed to cheek out at 12am next day.
The room was tiny. The beds were about 2 feet wide. It was too cold with no way to adjust the heating. There was no wardrobe! No phone! No room service, bar or mini bar. The walls are paper thin so you can hear every word spoken next door (in my case from 3 rap kids) the stairs are vertical and there are tons of them. The shared bathroom is like being in a plane..tiny, old fashioned and completely vile. I have never stayed in a place this bad. It is fit only for very young hostel going types.
Location and price are great. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff. Would be better if there's kettle and hairdryer in each room (or at least in the toilet)
very noisy at night especially during weekend. sometimes bad smell (weed and cigarette) in stairway. No lift, but is actually normal for buildings in Amsterdam.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms and the bathrooms were clean. The location is perfect as well as the view from the rooms. Would definitely visit again! :)
By far the best cheap hotel I've seen in Amsterdam and with breakfast included
- Great location, nice room with TV, wifi, breakfast, in-room kettle, helpful staff - Availability of maps and informations
- Although we chose non-smoking room, the smoke from the stairs and outsides filled up in the air, which was a shame for such a nice room like this
Everything!! Amazing location, everything's near: restorants with breakfast till 3 p.m. and lunch till 6 p.m.; disco; bars; shops; coffeeshop at the next door at reception! Good breakfast with even real juice. Rooms r really small, but I also saw rooms bigger. In the room you have small sink, tea/cofree. Clean shower and wc.
No hooks in bathroom, so think about where u'll put your towel))
So close to center, Good value for price, moderate breakfast included, friendly staff.
Shared bathroom, If you are noise sensitive its a bit bad for you but I am not.
- Location is perfect - Staff are friendly and polite - Breakfasts are good
- It is really noisily at nights. If you are planning to sleep at nights take ear plugs with you.
Location, bars and restaurants nearby
A little noisy
It is very close to the centre, the tram is right in front of the hotel. A lot of bars ans places to eat!!!
Hotel was perfect for me and my partner good location when reading reviews we were s but worried about noise as there is s night club next door but once in your room you could hardly here any noise will defiantly be returning here on out next trip :)
Location is excellent. this is a place to sleep in but nothing more, suitable for young people that want to hang out / do some clubbing. Breakfast was very nice and pretty diverse Overall the value for the money is good
Room for 4 people is small. Also the window doesn't open so the room feels like incubator. Again, this place is good just for sleep in at night, Travellers who want to spend more time at the hotel should consider go elsewhere
Best for the price I've ever seen. A nice view and perfect location. Very clean and fresh hotel with warm and comfortable room. The size of the room was quite good, which is not typical of Amsterdam. Even the breakfast was fine! Wish I could find hotels like this one in every city I visit.
Friendly staff. Perfect location at Rembrandt Square, right in the center of night life. Be aware that lights and party noise at night are part of the experience. Diversity of good eating/drinking-places nearby.
Breakfast available only after 9AM. Room smelled of smoke (tobacco/cannabis, situated right above a coffee shop), stains on the carpet, bathroom smelled of cleaning agent.
