Renaissance Amsterdam ligger sentralt nær Amsterdam sentralstasjon, 10 minutters spasertur fra Dam. Hotellet har et døgnåpent treningssenter og moderne rom med flatskjerm-TV. Hotellet tilbyr renoverte rom med moderne møbler og en sittegruppe. En LCD-TV med kabel- og satellittkanaler samt betalingskanaler med filmer er tilgjengelig. Enkelte rom gir adgang til en egen salong med frokost og snacks inkludert. Renaissance gir lett adkomst til alle deler av byen. Beligghenhet. Fantastisk enkelt å bu så midt i til det meste..Rommet var stort og fint. Service innstillte ansatte. Dei var hyggelege og hjelpsomme. Var for langt å gå frå heisen og fram til rommet. Var for dyr frukost.

I've booked a superior club room with canal view for the price of 394 Euro/night for 2 days. Upon arrival at the reception, one of the front desk staff named Kit, sent us to a regular room at the 2nd floor (thinking that we would not be aware of the difference between a regular room and a superior room, not to mention that the room was facing the backyard of the building!) I called the guest relations but the telephone was shut to my face two times (thinking that I am not aware about them seeing my room number when I dial) Finally a lady took my phone and told me she would check the connectivity of my line of the room (thinking that I am a moron!) She took my complaint about their behavior and my demand for a superior club room with canal view. 10 mins later Kit called me and proposed us to spend some time in the city so that he could make the necessary change. We left our luggage and spent quite a time in the city and when we got back we saw that they arranged a superior room at the 3rd floor! I didnt want to ruin my trip so I didnt complain about the canal view! Those staff should be informed that people, no matter what nationality they are, are not morons and most of them are aware of what they have paid for and they should not be treated as ignorant stupid people!

The central position Staff was unkind and unpolite. I booked a twin room and it was not yet ready at nine in the evening. I woul have waited more than 45 minutes to prepare it. They say me that my request was not guaranteed. But there was written anything in the reservation, And they asked me more than 300 instead of 260 the price of the room. Really a very bad presentation. Never put my feet in that hotel. It's not a five star hotel, 2 or less.

Bad Services. We got a rude awakening at 08:00am by the cleaning staff. This was the honeymoon night and after a wonderful day we were looking forward to a little more sleep. They asked us when we would leave the room. How dare they after paying that money and them letting us know that checkout would not be until noon. We will never stay there again.

I stayed at this hotel for the second time and I was very happy to return again. The staff is friendly and helpful and the location of the hotel is excellent. It is 5 minutes away from the train station and 10 mins away from Dam square. I will highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wish to have a great time in Amsterdam.

The location is convenient close to the central station. Shops, bars and restaurants close by. I arrived early - round 10 am - but reception could give me my room without any problem. Appreciated the service. Staff was excellent. Rooms were rather small but very comfortable and complete.

Lovely staff and great location. For such an expensive hotel I was surprised that there was no kettle in the room and we actually had to pay to get one. I was also disappointed with the breakfast. Also the air conditioning was quite noisy.

Perfect location, very helpful and friendly staff, fully adjustable air condition in the room and very comfortable. I would also recommend the club lounge which is perfect for relaxing in the evening, talking with friends or family and having a drink and some snacks.

This hotel is great and I do recommend 100%, no doubt service is clean, pure and very good people the management and staff. They are very helpfull. Thanks to renaissance amsterdam hotel.

We opted for a club room which gave us access to the superb first floor lounge and where we enjoyed the facilities on offer. We were also pleasantly surprised by the friendly and attentive staff on hand. The only thing I was slightly annoyed by was the fairly noisy airconditioning in the room - luckily we could afford to turn it off as it was not at all hot or even too warm.

The staff were pleasant and helpful and the room was clean and good size. Very disappointed with the executive lounge and the restaurant food quality. The executive lounge was full of young people intent on raiding the free alcohol and food before they went out for the night to party. The clearing of the tables was non existent both at breakfast and evening was very poor. It was not to the standard of quality or decorum expected of the Marriott group. The restaurant food was also very average as was the service under pressure.

Beautiful room, all the amenities, perfect location. Everything I would expect for this type of hotel. The first room I was assigned was not worth ~200 euros/night. First floor, smaller than average, looking onto an ugly central corridor of the hotel. When I spoke with reception I was quickly assigned a much nicer room. Don't be afraid to ask for something better, reception is very accommodating.

Hotel staff was very friendly and willing to help. The location is also good. The rooms are not up to the standards for a 5 star hotel. The price is a bit high for what you actually get. Also the room's walls are thin like paper with no soundproofing at all, and you can actually even hear your neighbors talking. In my case, I was unlucky and the people in the next room were very loud, talking loudly and "partying" with loud music in the night, making it impossible to rest. I had to call the reception to send security to their room. That did not do much, even after they caught them "smoking" in their room which is supposed to be forbidden in this hotel. Next morning I asked for me to switch rooms, which was not possible because the hotel was fully booked. So I had to call security again the next night. Unfortunately, while I was going to my room, I could hear loud noise and music from many rooms, and that is because many young people visiting Amsterdam, choose this hotel because of its good location. Having in mind however that walls are very thin, people who just want to sleep in their rooms (like me) and not party, will have a big problem if they are unlucky and get a loud neighbor. I personally would not risk again and use this hotel.

The rooms were very well presented I was upset there wasnt a tea and coffee making facilities in the room which after visiting other 5 * hotels was deeply missed .I ordered two cappuchinos and 1 hour later was brought a pot of normal coffee quite poor !!

Location, location, location. Walking distance to train station, Van Gough Museum, Canals, Flower Market, Red Light District, Brown Bars, Dam Square.....The Club Rooms are the way to go. They include an excellent breakfast and "Happy Hour" from 530-930pm with wine, beeer and food, which is nice before venturing out. All of the folks wer laid-back and friendly. LOTS of bicycles all over-watch out!!!!!!
