A skilled and extremely talented kitchen team, led by head chef Michel Boon, presents an entirely new menu every 6 to 8 weeks. In addition, they create an extra three-course menu which is not on the menu every week.
Furthermore, in every room you have the facilities to make yourself a nice cup of tea or coffee. And there is a folder for you to look through with all kinds of interesting information.
Most of the rooms look out over the stylish garden or the water of “‘t Boerenverdriet”. In summer you can sit in the garden and enjoy the flowers, the singing birds or the pleasure boats drifting past. Or you can stroll through peaceful Edam or go shopping in the centre of town near by. And if you'd like to explore the surroundings a bit more, you can also rent a bicycle.

It was a great opportunity to stay in an old dutch house which had been tastefully coverted into an hotel. Also, the atmospere and food in the restaurant was superb. |

The hotel is so adorable, like a doll house. The rooms were all decorated differently, comfotable beds and very clean. The fan system was a gentle hum and blocked out all the traffic noise from the outside so we were able to have a great night sleep. It looked like they are still doing some renovation in the basement and the fitness area could use some better equipment, but it's nice that they offer it. Make sure that you make a reservation to work out as the room is so small that everyone must take turns. The staff were friendly and spoke english. Wonderful breakfast. The hotel is in area of town that is a good 20 minute walk from the beautiful old town. When we saw the hotel from the outside we were disappointed and felt we made a mistake, but it is much nicer inside that out. They really should change the facade and make it match the inside. |

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is lovely and the situation along the canal most picturesque. Our only criticism would be that the room was quite small and on a very warm night, we were just over the restaurant terrace so it was noisy. It was also an excellent location for a cycling adventure in the Waterland region. |

We took a 12 day trip to Europe and this was by far our favorite place of all we stayed. It was clean, the staff was excellent, fooo very good, best breakfast we had anywhere and Edam was so beautiful. We would highly recommend them |

Im Ganzen waren wir sehr zufrieden - besonders was die Freundlichkeit angeht. Zudem sehr schöne Lage und eine tolle Einrichtung des Restaurants. Ebenso die vorzügliche Restaurantqualität! Die Lage mitten in Edam ist wunderbar. Zudem ist das Hotel ausgesprochen ruhig trotz des Stadtmittelpunktes. Problematisch sind die recht schlichten sehr kleinen Zimmer und die dementsprechend nicht angemessene Preiskalkulation. Hinzu kommt ein eher schwaches Frühstück, das überrascht, weil das Restaurant vorzüglich ist. Wenn man dieses mit den großen Hotels beispielsweise in Berlin und in HH für den gleichen Preis (85€) vergleicht, lässt sich kaum ein Bezug herstellen. Das ist schade, weil alles andere o.k. bis gut ist. |

Une situation au calme dans une petite ville adorable, Edam. C'est à la campagne, proche de la "mer" (intérieure), accessible à 2km dans le charmant village de Volendam. Accès facile à Amsterdam par le bus (25 mn de trajet). Personnel charmant. Ambiance cottage anglais chaleureux. Petit déjeuner (inclus) très bon, très varié et très copieux (buffet). |

Sehr romatisch ausgestattetes Haus, nettes Personal, süße Lage an der Gracht mit vielen lauschigen Sitzplätzen, die allerdings nur in der wärmeren Jahreszeit zu nutzen sind. Hervorragendes Restaurant! Die Zimmer sind klein und wenig komfortabel. Die Minibar fehlt, obwohl in der Hotelbeschreibung angegeben. Das Restaurant ist an den Wochenenden sehr voll. Als Pärchen sitzt man, wenn man Pech hat, zwischen Gruppen und kann sich nur schwer unterhalten. |

Hotel de charme très bien situé dans le centre d'Edam, qui est une très jolie ville à 15 mn en voiture d'Amsterdam (et à 25mn en transport collectif: bus). Hotel calme au bord des canaux. De plus le petit déjeuner était très bon et très copieux. Le restaurant testé au déjeuner est également d'un très bon rapport qualité prix. Seul bémol: la taille d'une des deux chambres était un peu trop petite. |

Sa situation. J'avais déjà vu l'hôtel lors de précédentes visites à Edam et j'avais rêvé d'y loger. Les chambres dans les petites maisons dans un beau jardin entouré d'eau. La possibilité de s'assoir au jardin. On a même plus envie de sortir visiter. Le décor de la salle à manger. L'amabilité du propriétaire. La carte prêtée par l'hôtel pour le parking de la voituere à deux pas. La possibilité de loger avec un petit chien. Super TV: aucune chaîne francophone contrairement à ce qui est indiqué dans le livret dans les chambres RTL, RTL+ et TV5). Pas de problème pour moi, il y avait bbc, j'avais un livre et je suis sortie me promener tard dans la soirée. Mais mes amies (+ de 80 ans) auraient voulu avoir la possibilité de regarder un peu. Peut être aussi le beurre de Guernsey au diner! |

het hotel heeft een mooie ligging aan het water, mooie tuin en oogt heel gezellig. goed ontbijt en het eten van de kaart is ook zeer goed! onze kamer lag ongunstig; we konden het personeel van de keuken horen en de mensen die nog op het terras zaten ook. de mensen die boven ons lagen konden we ook zeer goed horen, |
