The Rho Hotel is quietly located just off Damsquare in the very heart of Amsterdam. This 3-star hotel offers you good value for money and comfortable rooms all with private facilities. The building was originally built as a theatre in 1908 and the beautiful hall still retains some theatrical qualities. . The Rho Hotel opened in April 1989. The friendly staff will do their utmost to make your stay unforgettable.

Room information

We proudly present our unique suites: Five spacious and quietly situated suites, tastefully and comfortably decorated. All suites have separate living- and bedrooms. Our suites have a large and cosy living room and an adjoining dining area. All suites are equipped with a complete bathroom and ideal is the separate WC.
The 2/3 persons suites have a separate bedroom with three single beds. The 4 person suites have two separate bedrooms with 2 single beds each. In addition to the modern facilities listed, all suites have a large LCD television. Relaxing after a busy day in whirling and exciting Amsterdam? Sit down on the suite's spacious balcony!

The size and cleanliness of the room, the helpful staff.

The quality of the breakfast was surprisingly poor. The shower bracket was broken so the shower head kept tipping forward and spraying the wall of the shower behind the bracket.

very centra and quiet. the room was warm, clean and comfortable.

The hotel bar was lacking in atmosphere, hardly open as was not really staffed.

the area and restaurants around the hotel

We made reservations, when we arrived they said there was no reservations, then the room they gave us was by a garage, noisy, and service wasn't good.

I was very surprised by the closeness to the Dam square. its is a small hotel but have everything you need in a tourist hotel . we took the suit and enjoyed the large flat very much.

I did not like the man in the reception. he thought we are kidding when we asked to uncharged us for one night because we were freezing. (the hit did not worked the 2nd night). we had to complain about the hot water and the hit of the room.

The hotel's central location was excellent. The breakfast options were good. Vending machines and bar facilities were very useful.

It is a shame there are no Smoking rooms available but this wasn't too inconvenient.

Everything, particularly the central location.

Last visit some months ago, there was no toilet paper in my room, something I have never experienced elsewhere in 40 years of travelling arund Europe. Everyone was very apologetic.This time, the standard lamp in my room didn't work.Clearly, the room attendants don't use a checklist. Also, you need more signs directing guests to the lifts.
