Hotel ROBERTRAMON

Hotellin henkilökunta oli ystävällinen, aamiainen oli hyvä (muroja, croissanteja, kuohuviiniä, tomaatteja yms.) Modernisti sisustetut huoneet. Erinomainen sijainti, rauhallisella paikalla.

Huoneen pimeys, valoja olisi voinut olla katossa enemmän kuin yksi pieni spotti

Remontin äänet häiritsivät. Suihkusta ei tullut vettä muuta kuin tiputtamalla, olematon paine. Aamiaisella osa ruuista (omeletti, pekoni, tuore leipä) jo klo 9, todella äreä ja epäystävällinen aamiasemäntä. Huonetta ei oltu siivottu eikä uusia pyyhkeitä toimitettu pyynnöstä huolimatta. Annoimme tästä kaikesta palautetta jo lähtiessämme hotellista.

Hotellin sijainti oli erinomainen: ei katumelua mutta silti lähellä kaikkia keskeisiä kohteita Amsterdamin keskustassa.

We loved the location of the hotel. You felt very safe arriving and leaving the hotel as it is located in a very nice neighborhood. It is also convenient to a number of attractions, restaurants and shopping areas. We also enjoyed the lounge area on the 2nd floor of the hotel. There was internet access, a drink machine, and areas to talk, play cards or just relax in the lounge. The rooms seemed quite clean and were fairly well updated. One of the three rooms we stayed in had a quite outdated bathroom area, but the other two rooms had nice bathrooms. Another nice feature was the box of discount cards for area attractions located in the lounge area. We took advantage of several coupons and saved several pounds. The elevator and maid service were helpful and above average.

The staff at the reception desk were friendly to a point. One female staff member was rather impolite to a friend calling into the hotel trying to locate a member of our party. The phones in all three of our rooms did not work. The firsrt evening, phones in two rooms worked momentarily, but by the second day, only one phone was working. By the third day, all three phones were unable to receive calls. This made it nearly impossible for us to connect with a friend in Amsterdam with whom we had planned to visit. The stairs are very steep with very narrow treads. It is almost dangerous to try to use them to maneuver between floors. The worst aspect of our stay was dealing with the doorknob and lock on one of our three rooms. It was almost impossible to unlock the door once you finally got it locked. This room was also the first room to experience a non-functioning telephone. This was actually a dangerous situation since the phone didn't work and the door was very difficult to open. The lock and phone issues need to be addressed by the hotel.

The hotel's location was great and within walking distance of the best museums in Amsterdam and Vondel Park. Getting around the city was very easy from the hotel (tram line 5 would take you quickly to Dam Square, Amsterdam Central station, etc). The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and the decor wasn't too bad.

The room was pretty small (one of the smallest hotel rooms I've ever seen) however it was tidy and clean. As I didn't stay in my hotel room much, was mainly for sleeping and taking a shower to freshen up etc, I didn't need much room facilities, but I noticed the TV was rather small and there was no phone or fridge.

The hotel was well placed to access many Amsterdam highlights. It presented with a young trendy vibe, from decor to the staff.

The hotel Robertramon easily had the tiniest rooms I have ever stayed in, even taking into account the traditionally tiny rooms found throughout Europe.

Central location in Amsterdam

Overpriced and weak room: Room 511 is a sort of tiny attic where people even have to crouch in order to take a bath.

I loved the service! The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Also, the design of the hotel was very modern.

There was no phone in my room which was a little inconvenient if I had a question or request. The room was really small but clean.
