The location of the hotel is really good and the free internet service must be pointed out.

The bathroom was quite old although it was clean.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel was better than expected-do not believe the negative reviews!! Although there are roadworks going on infront of the hotel the noise wasn't really an issue. The hotel is in an ideal location. The room was spacious and very comfortable,with a nice breakfast spread. I would definately recommend the hotel and we will book again in the future!!

The only minor thing was that the light in the room wasn't as bright as would have hoped, but this was the only thing.

The hotel has weired policy of not allowing guest to your room, it was not convayed to me by the hotel and booking.com until I had my friend waiting in the lobby and he was not allowed to come to my room.

The staff at front desk were helpful on check in, organised earlier breakfast on departure

Room 40 was of very poor standard, bed was infested with insects,lighting poor,no ventilation as window opened onto narrow opening between hotel and next building,bathroom very poor quality of furniture,old shower,grotty tiles,steep stairs which is usual for amsterdam,but is worst hotel I have ever stayed in amsterdam. Hotel staff were not helpful when I asked to change room, told none available
