big room, close to public transport
comfortable good location nice staff
internet signal very weak tram makes noice outside
We spent one nice night at Hampshire Hotel in late October. Room was clean and spacious, with enough room for storage. Services were fine, we only needed wi-fi and luggage room after checkout. We had view into quiet courtyard. It's close to Peace Palace and has good tram connection to center.
Tea making facilities. Spaceous room. Clean and big bathroom. Free public parking nearby. TV with a bunch of english speaking channels.
15eur for breakfest is kind of too much, did not use it. The bed was quite soft but may be this is a matter of taste. The room had two doors to a next room, the doors were locked from both sides but they are not very soundproof and you can hear what is going on in the other room.
Very nice hotel
The beds are very comfy, and the service extremely friendly! We were welcomed and attended to as needed and promptly. We especially loved Maria who made breakfast feel as though we were having breakfast in our own kitchen...or hers! Thank you for your kindness!
I wish our room had been cleaner upon arrival, there is carpet, therefore there is a lot of dust. We had the room by the elevator machine (noisy) on the 5th floor which required access via 4th floor by stairs...not fun with a heavy suitcase...however, they switched us when the first available room was free. The bed was exceptionally comfortable in that room...one of the best I've slept on!
Location (15 min walk to city but great cafes nearby) View was fantastic Comfortable room Great shower and bath Very friendly staff
Helpful and friendly staff. Room was changed upon complaint.
My initial room not satisfactory, it was as if the traffic noise was inside my room ! Not much sleep !
nice location, very cozy.
the service is just so so
Friendly personal welcome, large comfortable bed, excellent breakfast. I particularly like the no-frills approach to the room. Trams pass the front door and go direct and frequently from the stop 200 yards away to the city centre and stations.
I had to ask for the tea-making facilities to be put in the room - but when I asked they were brought.
Everything was fine.
I got a superior room for the Genius price and the value for the money was excellent. The room was big and quite and the bad was very comfortable.
Well organised and the staff very supportive and welcoming
The fact that there was no kettle in the room. Maybe was an error but no great deal.
Clean and quiet. A little far to walk into the town center but you can easily take the tram in.
The size of the room and bed were huge so plenty of space. The bathroom was spotless and very pleasant. Tea and coffee making filled up each day though could not fathom out the coffee machine and could not find any instructions for it either.
One little point, did not like the soap dispensers, prefer separate little soaps and shower jel etc.
Noisy and small rooms Expensive car park
The lift trembles a bit.
reasonable rates helpfulness and friendlyness of staff they stored our luggage while in between trips- at their suggestion
no air conditioning, of course we traveled into a heatwave. The last two days of our stay we were placed in the front of the building, I had requested to be in the back which was done for the first part of our stay(we booked 5 days and two days seperated, stopped for a few days in Paris). Up all night with the street traffic( it was a weekend) remember to bring washcloths they are not supplied in Europe for the most part
- Comfortable beds - Good location, nice neighbourhood with lots of shops and restaurants nearby (although a bit far out of the city centre) - Decent value for money
- Room could have been cleaner (e.g. dirty mugs were not replaced everyday and very dusty). - Rooms need refurbishment (e.g. replace carpet and paint walls). There is no airconditioning. - Few additional facilities (e.g. restaurant, room service etc.)
Quite a good location on not so busy a street. The room was clean and the staff were helpful and nice.
The carpet in the room looks atrocious, making the whole room look old and shabby which in fact it was not. The whole interior of the hotel looks a bit glum and dark. I would never think this hotel has 4 stars. We thought breakfast was too expensive, especially as it is not free for young children, as in some other hotels.
Very quiet hotel, not much atmosphere, but value for money, Room was pleasant but could benefit from redecoration
Nearby cafes and restaurants are all closed on a monday
Clean, tidy and comfortable Welcoming reception staff Could safely lock bikes around back of hotel Short walk to main shopping area Tram route right outside Breakfast was varied, well presented
A longer distance to the sea Breakfast was in addition at 12.50 euros.
Location and ease of public transport good. Friendly staff, comfortable executive room, excellent breakfast buffet
Rooms on main road side had too much road noise (for me). Rooms were a bit tatty, needed a spruce up - but clean. Bed very good (I am 1m 95)
Great hotel on a tram route connecting station and city. Very good staff.
Wifi in the room only worked if you stood at the door
Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Staff was excellent!
