Beautiful view out of the window and very close to town centre. Really helpful staff, even got breakfast ready 45 mins early for us as we had to catch a ferry. Slightly dated decor but very clean.
Room 23 is best it overlooks the canal and has a double aspect. Good breakfast. Excellent location in Sluis. Bus stop to Bruges outside the hotel door. Very helpfull owner.
We thought the owner was very welcoming and we enjoyed talking with him later on the evening of our stay . Wonderful location, easy walking distance for everything. Good breakfast. Great wifi and free parking.
It is an old hotel and the rooms need a few modern updates. It is comfortable and basic, the price largely reflects this.
Friendly at check-in and the hotel has a great location.
Staying in the annex rooms at the rear of the property. Awful. You could smell the damp in the corridor even before opening the bedroom door. Smells of mould and damp with mould on the ceiling and walls. Floor lifting die to damp. Bed and blankets damp too. Not a healthy atmosphere to be staying in. Room 11. Avoid.
Location of hotel was central in both Sluis and the surrounding area. Breakfast was okay. Staff and management were helpful. We liked to hear the geese on the canal and also the chimes from Sluis cathedral.
Bath cupboard - you could not call it a bathroom as it was not bigger than a large size wardrobe. The sliding door would not close on our bath cupboard so when ever you had a shower or enything else it was like being in the room itself. This was the only drawback.
There's really nothing to dislike.
The decorations and fittings in our room 34 are very tired and could do with some upgrading.
Convenience to family.
Shower door did not close completely. Bed too soft.
Excellent Breakfast, Nice Location, friendly staff! not expensive.
Room was a bit old and needed a refurb. Down steep stairs to the room (could be a problem). Hot room.
People good. Great location, right in middle of town. Mixed up on booking on web site, booked for wrong night, my fault. honoured booking anyway. Pos because hotel was empty. .
Hotel in a sixties timewarp. needs a lot of TLC. but still good for a night or two. But why would you want to spend 2 nights in Sluis. Packed during the day but a Ghost town after 20.30
An outwardly attractive hotel with an unsurpassed central location in the idyllic village of Sluis. Hotel proprietor was friendly, courteous and helpful.
Bedroom and ensuite were of a basic but acceptable standard of furnishing and décor for a solo stay of a night or two but not of a modern-day standard that would meet my requirements for a stay of longer duration.
Location & comfortable bed.
Rooms were cleaned and tidied every day. The buffet breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal. Good location for visiting Sluis. All staff very helpfull
