This hotel is just a short walk from Central Station but in a quiet location beside a canal. The staff are friendly and helpful, the hotel has a nice atmosphere and although my single room was small, it was very cleverly laid out and I had everything I needed in a limited space. The bathroom was again small, but not inconveniently so, and everything was very clean. The breakfast is described as a simple continental one but is in fact much more substantial with cereals, cheese, meats and eggs. Highly recommended.

Location in Amsterdam was excelllent [central] Within walking distance of train station, canal boats good restaurants. While the rooms were small they were clean and satisfactory considering the hotel is in an older and historic area. I would stay there again JL We liked everything about the Single Hotel

Singel Hotel is close to Amsterdam Central Station, about 6 minutes walking time and very close to the old city center. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable with a nice canal view. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful during our stay.

Our bedroom was very light with a view of the canal. The beds were very comfortable. The shower room was well designed with a shelf behind the wash basin for toilet bags etc and hooks on the back of the door for clothes (both aspects of shower room design that are often lacking). The breakfast was adequate without being exciting. The service was good. The hotel was in three old buildings and there was poor noise insulation so the noise from other guests' TVs and radios was quite disturbing.

We would highly recommend this hotel, excellent value for money. Excellent location, within 2 minutes of eateries, cafe's, shopping, markets and tourist attractions. 5 minute walk from central station. Hotel was very clean and modern, would say recently refurbished. Our room was a good size with a wet room (again very clean and modern). Bed sheets and towels fresh and crisp. Staff very friendly and spoke perfect English. Continental breakfast was very fresh with good choice - only niggle is that some items ran out at around 9.30am and breakfast finished at 10am (but lots of other items to choose from so you don't starve).

We were very disgusted with their advertisment that claim, the rooms have canal views, we were booked in right at the back, facing the back of other buildings. In the front of the hotel they were busy working, We are not happy as it is.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. They had a computer in the dining area where one could use the internet and email for free. The hotel was close to Central Station and convenient to Tram. Free continental breakfast was ample by European standards

Management at hotel facilitated a longer trip by allowing me to leave a bag at the hotel, something I appreciated very much. Hotel is brilliantly located on a quiet canal close to the main railway station. The rooms are clean and quiet, and the breakfast is good.

We booked this hotel last minute and chose it based on the reviews and were not disappointed. Without a doubt the friendliest, most helpful hotel staff I have encountered. So pleased to help and offered great advice on excursions and nightlife. Breakfast was lovely and served in a lovely modern room. Spotlessly clean and all the staff were smiling to welcome you in the morning. The location was brilliant. Right across the road from central station, 5 mims from dam square, 10 mims from loads of museums. And right on the edge of a canal and lovely and quiet at night Couldn't fault this hotel for the money, will definitey go back :-)

The hotel is next to the center, rooms are cleaned well, very comfortable beds, nice breakfast in the morning, good security! There is the elevator (very are are in Amsterdam) The rooms are little, but that is normal in amsterdam.
