Singel Hotel

The room was available by 11:00 and we were able to check in; the location of the hotel; the view from our room; and the comfort of the beds.

The breakfast was basic

Location is fab, on a walking distance from central station and all major actractions. Staff is very kind and helpfull. Very good for the price, included breakfast!

Rooms are really tiny, it didn't bother me, but I was by myself and use the hotel just to sleep!

The Singel Hotel is located on the pretty Singel canal very close to the train station. This makes it a perfect location for anyone needing to be near the train station. It is also within easy walking distance to many Amsterdam attractions. My single room was tiny but clean and had a nice view of the canal.

The Single hotel has zero charm and the floors in the tiny lobby and breakfast area were stained/dirty giving an initial negative impression. My room was clean however. Soundproofing was poor, as expected in an old house turned hotel, but being on the canal, it was quiet once everyone settled down. If you need to be very close to the train station, this is a good choice.

Central location, good breakfast

I had the room above the entrance, which was very small and the windows had single glass. During the night and very early in the morning I woke up from the delivery trucks and people talking in front of my room. The hotel is ok, but next time I ask for another room.

The situation of the hotel is very good, in the zone of the Centrum and to 5 minutes walking of Amsterdam Centraal. The very agreeable personnel, they gave us maps and indications about the city. The breakfast buffet, it was not very wide, but everything was very good.

We had some difficulties with the shower for level the temperature and the water quantity.

Efficient radiator in the room: room temperature was easily adjusted, at least in winter time. Continental breakfast included in the room price. Breakfast included coffee/tea, bread&butter, jams, some cold cuts, cheese, boiled eggs, cereals, youghurt, juice and oranges.

Floor in the room somewhat squeaky, people stepping in the room above could be heard. Also noise from the street (occasional ballyhoo of passing people, not much of traffic noise) came through the windows (room right above the hotel entrance).
