Very helpful and polite service. Nothing was too much trouble. Free mini bar and very well stocked bathroom, including bathrobes and washing machine / drier. Comfy bed and bedding. Approx 8 mins walk from tram stop but approx 20 - 30 mins walk from main attractions. Would stay there again for a short stay

The double bed was next to the single glazed windows which meant it was a little draughty and noisy when the street cleaning machinery came round in the early hours. Was expecting a traditional bed and breakfast but this is really a room that is rented out, no communal facilities.

Friendly host, great location, fabulous breakfast, excellent wifi, in-room coffee machine and snacks, extra pillows & anything else you could ask for without needing to ask.

? What's not to like?

The location was central and close to shopping. Easy to access via transit. Room included a bag of chips, and crackers along with some soft drinks free of charge.

The owner was not honest and misrepresented what was included in the fees and continuously tried to charge us for extras. He specifically told us that continental breakfast was included and later proceeded to charge us $20 per day. When we complained, he claimed that the property was worth $250 Euros and he had done us a favor by giving it to us at $100 euros (price listed in the booking.com). At $100 the room was overpriced. The room did not have an internal lock for security and in general it was hard for us to relax. There were foul odors at times in the room. During breakfasts he tried to sell us another bed and breakfast property he owned in Philippines. The room's view is of a back alley. The photos of water canals are the residence of the owner. I will be filing a complaint with the Netherlands Tourism Bureau for the extra charges.

It is very well located, has all the facilities and Nico is a great host.

Not being able to stay longer.

We loved our stay here! The room was really lovely, clean and welcoming. Great location with views of beautiful canal! The bed was really comfortable and had really lovely bedding. The owner insured that we could open the windows and turn on/off the heating (something that rarely works in other places!). The room came with complementary maps, wifi, crisps, chocolate and waffles as well as a fridge of drinks, a coffee machine and tea facilities. All toiletries were provided including toothbrushes, toothpaste, and disposable razor! There was also really comfortable dressing gowns and slippers. Breakfast was really good value with a wide variety of choice - cereal, fruit, cooked breakfast option, juice, coffee, croissants, brioche, toast. The owner really puts effort into making your stay comfortable. He provided clear directions to the accommodation, cleaned the room daily, made sure you could work everything, carried your bags and was really friendly. He also let us check in a bit late which was kind and I know he has let other people check in early. He also let us keep our bags there for the day after we checked out as our flight wasn't until late. He made a special effort to be in so that we could collect them later. Other special touches like buying umbrellas for us to use when it was due to rain and providing us with an extra hairdryer were really thoughtful and appreciated. Would highly recommend!

Nico, the owner , is a delightful and helpful person who just wants to make your stay pleasant. The room is very nicely decorated with all the facilities you could need. Location is lovely overlooking one of the main canals I would highly recommend this accommodation.

Nico is a very gracious, thoughtful, friendly, helpful host. You are staying in his home and he welcomes you as his personal guest. He has thought of all your needs. He even has umbrellas for you. We stayed a week and he even did our laundry. You are given your own key to the front door. It is in a great location. Great access to transportation and in walking distance of everything. We began to feel part of the neighborhood as we walked around. It is very close to great night life, and just far enough away to be quiet. Thank you, Nico.

It is a small European old building. Of course, that is its charm also. Nico carried our bags up the one short, steep flight.

Nico is very customer orientated and helpful to his guests. He offered assistance outside the requirements of such typical hotels. It was a very home atmosphere.

The hotel is budget orientated and therefore should provide more focus on use of low budget travel options like buses and bicycling.

Nico very hospitable and helpful. Room very comfortable and very generous with free snacks, drinks and toiletries. Washing even taken out of dryer and folded on bed! Great cooked breakfast..Would have to be best b&b we have stayed in.

This the best host we have ever encountered! We rate him 12 out of 10. Great place to stay in a nice part of town. Highly recommended!

Nothing to say! There are only good things to say about our experience!

The caretaker was extremely friendly and accommodating. Location was brilliant, with beautiful views right out the door, walking distance to everything and easy access to public transport. The room was very comfortable with great amenities.

Cozy, clean and well-located B&B. Nico has a nice sense of hospitality, offering free coffee and tea, beer, juice, soft drinks, potato chips, chocolates and stroopwafels. Bathroom amenities include shampoo, conditioner, body soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hairdryer, towels etc. Also: washing and drying machines and iron.

Keep in mind that the kitchen and the living room with the canal view are not included in the bedroom price. Nevertheless, Nico let us use his kitchen in two occasions with no extra costs.

Muito bem localizado, conseguimos ir a qualquer ponto da cidade com o tram. O atendimento é excelente. O quarto é extremamente limpo, confortável e bem decorado. O banheiro também é muito limpo e pudemos contar também com uma mini lavanderia, o que nos ajudou bastante já que estávamos no meio de uma grande viagem. O Sir Nico é super atencioso e prestativo. Fantástico!

Fantastische ligging in hartje amsterdam, een kamer met alles wat je nodig hebt voor een city-trip alles netjes, vlotte communicatie, en een bijzonder behulpzame Nico kortom: een aanrader voor wie aan een redelijk budget naar Amsterdam wil ter info: wij verbleven op de kamer (niet het appartement) en hebben elders ontbeten (mogelijkheden zat op wandelafstand)
