Das Hotel hat eine zentrale Lage, sehr nah an den Einkaufsstraßen, Bahnhof, Red Light District und CanalnBus. Die Zimmer und das Bad sind ausreichend groß und sehr sauber. Die Betten sehr bequem und groß. Die WLAN Abdeckung sehr gut ohne jegliche Begrenzung und hoher Bandbreite. Auch die Lobby und die Bar sowie das Frühstücksbüffet sind sehr einladend.

Die Zimmer an der Seitenstraße liegen über der Anlieferzone und da wird es ab 7:00h laut

Zimmer renovierungsbedürftig, kein Safe auf dem Zimmer, Frühstück deutlich überteuert, Frühstücksbuffet wird abgeräumt während man davorsteht, keine Tiefgarage, durch Lage an der Hauptstrasse sehr laut, Kreditkarte wird beim Check-In belastet

Die Lage ist perfekt. Die Zimmer - auch zur Strassenseite - absolut in Ordnung. Bei der Buchung muss das Frühstück aber inbegriffen sein; weil sonst zusätzliche 46 € (!!) fällig werden - wohlbemerkt, bei einem Zimmerpreis von 189 € (...)

Der Frühstückspreis von 46 € ist überrissen und ist absolut nicht nachvollziehbar. Hier wird "was" quersubventioniert (...) und verhindert letztendlich eine erneute Buchung im Hotel - obschon die Zimmer eigentlich recht sind. Zu diesem Preis kann in der Brasserie Vlaming ein 3 GangMenü gegessen werden...

The hotel was very central and easy to reach by foot from the central train station and in walking distance to many attractions .The tram stop was just outside the hotel . The room was very clean and quiet with double glazed windows. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would go there again.

At arrival a trainee was a bit unfriendly and insecure what to do when I wanted to pay cash for the room(I had secured my reservation by credit card, but wanted to pay cash to avoid high credit card fees, which was recommended by other travellers).The room was quite small and dark (dark furniture), we couldn't open the windows which made me feel a bit claustrophobic. I found the price a bit high, but I knew that Amsterdam hotels are expensive if you are looking for a clean place.

Had a disgusting chipped basin in our bathroom. Very unhealthy!

The hotel has a good location in the centre of the city. It is clean and comfortable with all the facilities needed in a city. I felt safe, secure and very well looked after.

Breakfast is quite pricey.

Friendly, clean and helpful we had a lovely stay of four nights. Excellent location for all areas.

Your staff is friendly with perfect English. The room was v comfortable with a good choice of TV stations. Lovely bathroom also

Breakfast was v expensive especially for the continental. A piece of bread, croissant & tea for €9 is too much.

Very comfortable, clean and well presented rooms.Excellent price. Good menu and very reasnoble bar prices. We were made to feel very welcome by helpful staff.

The only thing I could find fault with was that all the hooks and shelves in the bathroom were very high and difficult to reach.

The staff were extremely helpful and the hotel was very clean. Big comfortable bed. Huge range for the buffet breakfast.

Access to the shower in the classic double room was quite difficult

The staff were very friendly helpful and knowledgeable. It was clean and had a relaxing atmosphere. The bar a an old steam train carriage had great feeling about it. Good location to get to transport and major attractions.

Staff very plesant and helpfull,comftable bed and room,situated in good position close to all amenites and transport connections.All in all we had very plesant stay and when we returned to Amsterdam we would gladly stay at The Convent again.

Bathroom sink badly stained looked unplesant to wash in.Did ask for high level room when booking with a nice view , got room on 3rd floor OK but out look was a brick wall but just a minor problem

When booking a double room (2 occupancy) with breakfast, I did not expect to have to pay for 2nd Breakfast !!!

The way the staff interacted with the Hotel guests.They made you feel like you where returning friends...it was my first time to stay but i will be returning!!!!!!!

Excellent location, close to all main attractions, and Central Station. Very good value for money. Staff very helpful. They recommended a lovely local restaurant. Breakfast in hotel excellent. Bedroom had antique style furnishings. Despite negative comments we would stay here again.

T.V. had a mind of its own. Controls did not work. Switched itself on at night. Reported problems but not fixed. Water pressure very very low. Mattress had deep ruts in it. Avoid room 101!

The staff were so friendly and proficient. The luxury room was spacious, extremely clean and very well furnished/decorated. Central locality. That special thing you get with the 'smaller' hotel that very often is missing with the larger quality chains. Breakfast choice and quality was excellent. Highly recommended.

There is no lunch or evening restaurant available which was surprising for a 4-star but this did not detract from our very enjoyable stay.

Some staff unfriendly and unhelpful. No climate control in room. Dirty towels and burn mark on sink. Sink cracked (but also sink in another room shown to us also cracked). Room very dusty. Furniture was very dated. Bed was uncomfortable. Never stay here again although location was great. Hotel is never a 4 *

Hotel looks lovely from outside and nice reception

Our room was tiny and the decoration is very dated. Didn't have a mini bar.
