The evening meal was fabulous 10/10
Can't think of anything. People who don't like steep stairs would struggle
Attractive, spacious room. Very helpful staff. Excellent food. Happy to provide indoor parking for my bike.
room, location, breakfast
location right at the sea promenade, room had a closed balcony to enjoy the view and sound of the waves, small fridge in room.
Everything was very good.Staff really friendly.Hotel is near the sea.Food was very delicious.
Loved the huge penthouse family suite. You could stay there for weeks. Had a fun kitchen, laundry room, 2 bedrooms, Living room, dining area. Was fabulous! The restaurant was star quality. Food was absolutely stunning. Even the quirky stairs were a hoot!!! Loved it.
Fantastic location on the sea-front with a wonderful view of the ships sailing by.
Upper rooms reached by a very steep staircase - although I guess not a lot could be done to improve the access. Tea and coffee facilities not topped up each morning - kettle could have done with a clean....
The location + the atmosfere
To carry my suitcase up the stairs
location; room; owner
house wine; food rather fatty
This was our second visit to this hotel and we love it. Be sure to book a room with a balcony to watch the huge ships pass by! The restaurant is gourmet.
The service, the fantastic view over the sea, the food (very, very good, especially considering the price).
Very friendly and helpful owner and staff, took time out for a chat about the area which was helpful. Evening meal was of a very high standard and beautifully presented. Room (no 1) has a great enclosed balcony with a large sliding window for plenty of that sea air, and the view of the shipping going in and out of Antwerpen was I found very relaxing. Will be returning.
Maybe a toaster in the breakfast room. Not really a complaint but I do like my toast in the mornings :-)
Excellent place to stay and the staff were great, highly recommended
The view on the sea, from the closed balcony. Parking just behind the hotel was convenient. Long bed.
An alarm rang at 5h45 a.m., very loud. It was coming from the restaurant part of the hotel, downstairs. No one could stop it during 15 minutes even after our call (no english nor german speaker to pick up). We went out through the front door (ok, thanksto this we could assess the width of the tide in Vlissingen...) Then it stopped. No fire, no explanation. We guess that employees of the hotel were starting their day with a cigarette. After breakfast and such a bad night, we were taking some rest but were chased out from the room with knocking at our door at 11 am. And at check out, nobody was aware of this night alarm. So, globally bad experience. But even without that alarm story, the price looks somehow exagerated to us.
The view was superb. The beds were very good. Spacey bad room. The closable terrace in the room where you can open the windows and giving you the touch and feel with the sea and its traffic.
There is no climate control. Were there in April but not sure how that will work out in summer time.
Nice location...Wonderfull view...Good Breakfast...Will visit it next time.
Nothing I can think of.
Nice room. Very vriendly staf and a good location. I come back
Very nice and easy come and go hotel the staff are friendly and helpful
Internet a bit come and go and breakfast a little limited
Location. Friendly staff
Older Hotel; bathroom + room old fashioned
Ideal location for where we wanted to be. Excellent food in restaurant. View of passing ships great. Free wi fi available in rooms. Very friendly staff. Good value for money. Nice breakfast.
Our room was at back of hotel so obviously no sea views. Room quiet small.
The atmosphere and friendly staff.
The view from the hotel balcony was amazing
The welcome we got when we arrived was terrible - it was name then the man who asked this disappeared and then reappeared with a key saying your in room 1, up there, and that was it. We ever did find out who the owners were or interacted with any other member of staff. The room had two single beds pushed together and there was approximately a couple of inches either side of the bed from each wall you had difficulty accessing the bed.
Friendly staff Perfect location Excellent food Wonderful view.
Missing an elevator.
great location directly on promenade, beautiful marine-themed decoration, helpful staff
