An alarm rang at 5h45 a.m., very loud. It was coming from the restaurant part of the hotel, downstairs. No one could stop it during 15 minutes even after our call (no english nor german speaker to pick up). We went out through the front door (ok, thanksto this we could assess the width of the tide in Vlissingen...)
Then it stopped. No fire, no explanation. We guess that employees of the hotel were starting their day with a cigarette.
After breakfast and such a bad night, we were taking some rest but were chased out from the room with knocking at our door at 11 am.
And at check out, nobody was aware of this night alarm.
So, globally bad experience. But even without that alarm story, the price looks somehow exagerated to us.
The view on the sea, from the closed balcony.
Parking just behind the hotel was convenient.
